1Cor. 10:26 For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof

Eph. 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Eph. 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Eph. 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing

QUESTION:   I wanted to ask you a follow-up question regarding treasures in Heaven. What does the Bible say these treasures are, and why do we need them? If our works are like “dirty rags” at the the feet of the Lord, and our salvation is based only on our acceptance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as a sin atonement, then how can we store up treasure? Wouldn’t that actually give rise to the sin of jealously if one individual has more than another?

I would think that being in Heaven and having the opportunity to commune with God in the way He intended would be enough to satisfy any Christian, so again, why do we need treasures and the belief that we can have greater favor with God through our actions here on earth? Wouldn’t we be better off just giving to the poor and helping those in need because it’s the right thing to do as a Christian versus doing it because we expect a sort of heavenly pay-back?

ANSWER:   The only passage that really speaks of treasures in Heaven is Matt. 6:19-21. It doesn’t say what they are, nor does it explain exactly how to get them. It just tells us in the Lord’s own words that we should store them up. He doesn’t allow Himself to be in our debt, so He re-pays us for our obedience. That’s why people who give out of gratitude without any expectation of return always wind up with more for themselves. (Giving with the expectation of pay-back is a sign of greed not gratitude.)

In Paul’s description of the Bema Seat judgment it seems clear that some will receive greater reward than others (1 Cor. 3:10-15). Perhaps these are the treasures the Lord spoke of. In considering this, we should remember that in our perfected states emotions like envy and jealousy will no longer be a part of our make-up.

In summary, the Lord commanded us to use our excess here on Earth to store up treasure in Heaven so it must be a good thing to do.

Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, the chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), issued new threats against Israel on Thursday, vowing that any future conflict will be the Jewish state’s last.

“It is a proven claim that today we say any new war will lead to the eradication of the Zionist regime,” said Jafari at a Tehran press conference, according to Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency.

Jafari also told reporters that Lebanon is Israel’s primary target today and that “resistance” experienced by Israel in previous conflicts with Iran-backed Hezbollah and Hamas was minor in comparison to their current capabilities.

“They have seen a part of the resistance front’s power during the 33-day and 22-day wars and today that the great resistance front has been formed, this word has been proven,” said Jafari, referring to the Second Lebanon War in 2006 and Operation Cast Lead in 2008-2009.

Jafari added that Iran and other groups will come to the aid of Hezbollah should they be attacked by Israel.

“The fate of the resistance front is interwoven and they all stand united and if Israel attacks a part of it, the other component of the front will help it,” he said.

Reiterating remarks made on Wednesday, the IRGC chief rejected demands that Hezbollah be disarmed.

“This issue is not negotiable and the entire Lebanese nation, except a number of little puppet groups, support Hezbollah’s weapon.”

On Wednesday, Jafari said that “Hezbollah must be armed to fight against the enemy of the Lebanese nation which is Israel. Naturally they should have the best weapons to protect Lebanon’s security. This issue is non-negotiable.”

Jafari’s comments follow an Arab League meeting in Cairo on Sunday, called by Saudi Arabia, during which Arab foreign ministers condemned both Iran and Hezbollah for their role in spreading violence in the region.

In a joint declaration, opposed only by Lebanon and Iraq, the umbrella organization accused Hezbollah of “supporting terrorism and extremist groups in Arab countries with advanced weapons and ballistic missiles.”

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said that “Iranian threats have gone beyond all limits and pushed the region into a dangerous abyss.”

The role of Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon and the wider Middle East has been at the forefront of regional politics since Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s sudden resignation on November 4 sparked a sharp rise in tensions between Sunni-ruled Saudi Arabia and Shi’ite Iran.

Hariri subsequently shelved his resignation after returning to Lebanon on Wednesday in favor of dialogue, as per Hezbollah-allied Lebanese President Michel Aoun’s request.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia hosts Syrian opposition groups in effort to unite them ahead of Geneva peace talks

The leaders of Russia, Turkey and Iran on Wednesday discussed ways to promote a peaceful settlement in Syria, including the return of refugees, humanitarian aid and prisoners’ exchange, while fractured Syrian opposition groups were meeting in Saudi Arabia in a bid to overcome their divisions and form a united front for Syrian peace talks in Geneva.

“Militants in Syria have received a decisive blow, and there is a real chance to put an end to the civil war that has raged for many years,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the start of talks with Turkish and Iranian counterparts in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi.

Putin noted that political settlement will require concessions from all sides, including Syrian President Bashar Assad’s government.

Assad made a surprise trip to Russia late Monday for talks with Putin, which the Kremlin said were intended to lay the groundwork for Wednesday’s trilateral meeting.

Speaking after the three-way talks, Putin said the Syrian leader pledged to conduct constitutional reforms and hold new elections under UN supervision.

“The process of reforms isn’t going to be easy and will require concessions and compromises from all those involved, including the Syrian government,” he said.

In their joint statement after the talks, Putin, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the need for all parties in the Syrian conflict to release all prisoners and hostages, hand over bodies and search for those missing to help create conditions for a lasting cease-fire and the launch of political talks.

They also called on other countries to provide humanitarian aid, clear Syrian territory of mines and restore vital infrastructure destroyed by the war.

“We have reached a consensus on helping the transition to an inclusive, free, fair and transparent political process that will be carried out under the leadership and ownership of the Syrian people,” Erdogan said.

Even though Russia and Iran have backed Assad’s government since the start of the Syrian conflict in March 2011, while Turkey has supported his foes, the three countries have teamed up to help mediate a peace settlement.

They have sponsored several rounds of talks between the Syrian government and the opposition in Astana, Kazakhstan, and also have brokered a truce between Syria’s government and the rebels in four areas, helping reduce hostilities.

UN deputy spokesman Farhan Haq, asked about the trilateral meeting of the leaders, said: “Our focus remains on the meetings that will begin in Geneva on November 28. We hope that all the other processes that are underway will contribute to a successful round of talks in Geneva.”

Meanwhile, the UN envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura spoke at the opening of a three-day gathering of the Syrian opposition in Riyadh, where around 30 opposition groups are expected to come up with a unified delegation and a vision for the Geneva talks.

De Mistura said he planned to have two rounds of talks in Geneva in December. He is set to travel to Moscow later this week.

“It is our common interest that today, you elect the best and most inclusive team among yourselves,” de Mistura said. “A strong, unified team is a creative partner in Geneva and we need that.”

The Riyadh meeting, however, has already been marred with disagreements. The notoriously fragmented opposition is divided by visions of a future role for Assad, the length of a transitional period as well as the constitution that will see the country move toward elections.

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said in opening remarks that the opposition meeting comes amid international consensus to reach a resolution.

“There is no resolution to the crisis without Syrian consensus that achieves the demands of the Syrian people and ends their suffering,” al-Jubeir said.

Russia, which has welcomed the Saudi efforts to unify the opposition, will also be hosting a meeting in Sochi that’s expected to bring the opposition and Syrian government together in early December. Turkey and Iran pledged Wednesday to help the success of that meeting.

Earlier this month, the first attempt to convene it failed amid differences, reportedly including the participation of Kurds.

Turkey sees US-backed Syrian Kurdish fighters as a terror group and an extension of Kurdish militants that have waged a three-decade-long insurgency inside its borders.

Erdogan on Wednesday strongly reaffirmed Turkey’s objection to Kurdish Syrian militia playing a part in negotiations on Syria’s future.

“The exclusion from the process of terrorist elements that target Syria’s political unity and territorial integrity as well as our national security will continue to remain our priority,” he said. “No one should expect us to come under the same roof, to appear on the same platform as a terror organization.”

Russia has been involved in a delicate diplomatic dance, trying to engage the Kurds without offending Turkey. Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, dodged a question about Kurdish participation in the planned Sochi meeting, saying only that it should be “inclusive.”

Putin, whose military intervention in the war saved Assad’s government from imminent defeat, called US President Donald Trump, Saudi King Salman, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi on Tuesday to brief them on his talks with Assad and coordinate the planned peace efforts.

Putin’s broad outreach highlighted a key role Russia has come to play in the Syrian conflict and reflected Moscow’s desire to engage all key players.

Some of the opposition delegations in Riyadh are backed by Gulf countries, which had sided with the anti-Assad rebellion, while others have been supported by Russia. Another opposition group is backed by Egypt, which has also kept contacts with the Syrian government.

The Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya TV said some members of the Russia-backed delegation withdrew from the meeting. A member of the delegation, Qadri Jamil, said they backed out to object other delegations putting conditions on the talks, including limiting a future role for Assad. The Russia-backed opposition is promoting political reform under Assad’s rule.

“He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth.” (Isaiah 25:8)

“For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:17)

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

In the above passages we are told that God will wipe away all tears from the eyes of His people after the Tribulation and entering the Millennium. He refers to Israel in Isaiah 25:8, then the Tribulation martyrs in Revelation 7:17 and finally all those who are His in Revelation 21:4.

We see in Revelation 21:4 that once He has done so, there will be no more death, mourning, crying or pain, for all the old things will be gone and no more.

My guess is that many of us have wondered why there would be tears in the first place, so allow me to provide my opinion.

Isaiah 25:8 – Israel No nation of people, individually and collectively, has come anywhere near the suffering Israel has endured for so many long years. It is true that their trials and tribulations have arisen primarily because of their disobedience and rejection of their Messiah.

Revelation 7:17 – Tribulation Martyrs The martyrs are those who were left behind at the Rapture but came to Christ and were saved during the Tribulation. Their suffering will be for a very short period, but it will be no less horrible than anyone could imagine.

Revelation 21:4 – All God’s People From Adam and Eve to the last saint to enter into Heaven’s family at the end of the Tribulation by faith in the Son of God, we have all suffered from the effects of sin that entered the world.

Why would there be tears? I think there is more than one reason, but the first that comes to mind, obviously, is the joy that, “the old order of things have passed away.”

Many of us have lost Christian family members and friends to physical death; husbands, wives, children, parents, sisters, brothers, et al. Even though our hearts have been broken because of our loss, Heaven has been their gain. There is no doubt that not one of them would want to return to this fallen world if they could.

When we are all united with our Savior and Lord and “the old order of things have passed away,” I believe the tears will come from joy, relief, gratitude, and even regret (I’ll come back to this one).

JOY What are two things that immediately come to mind when we have extreme joy? The first two things that come to my mind are laughter and tears. If we can experience something so thrilling on earth that it brings laughter and tears, would not the joy of being with Jesus Christ supersede anything else we could imagine? The joy of knowing that all bad things have passed away and we will live as a family with Almighty God for eternity makes me smile as I type these thoughts. Surely, one reason for our tears will be from the overwhelming joy we will have on that day.

RELIEF Could “relief” be another reason? I know no one who enjoys going to the dentist. Isn’t it a relief to be walking out the door as opposed to walking in the door at the dentist office?

Some have been diagnosed with cancer, gone through the treatments and then received a clean bill of health. Think about the relief that is felt in hearing, “You’re cancer free.” My wife and I know this kind of relief, and I can assure you, it is tearfully overwhelming.

GRATITUDE What does it mean to be grateful? It means we are thankful or appreciative. When we are with Jesus on that day every one of us will certainly be thankful for His love for us, even more so than we are now.

We will see the scars in His hands which are the visible trademarks of His sacrifice to redeem us from Satan’s slave market.

Maybe we will remember how close we came to not calling on Him to save us. Maybe we will think of all the sin in our lives that could have annulled our salvation, if it weren’t for the guarantee of His Holy Spirit that sealed us. Perhaps we will be reminded of our rebellion, but will then realize His firm grip upon us kept us in His hands.

I believe our gratitude will bubble over into tears of appreciation for all He has done and all He has provided; especially knowing we don’t deserve it.

REGRET Could there be tears of regret that we didn’t serve Him on earth as we should have? Could tears of regret cloud our eyes, knowing we could have spoken out more for Him and stood a little taller? Will God wipe away tears that come from our eyes because we know many are not with us, and we never witnessed to them about Jesus?

CONCLUSION Whatever the reason or reasons may be for our tears, can’t you feel the tenderness and love that comes from God as He wipes away those tears?

Whatever picture you have in your mind of our Father in Heaven, our Savior and Lord, and our Comforter, has it changed any in seeing His tenderness as He wipes away your tears and my tears?

The touch of someone who loves us brings such comfort to our hearts. Perhaps your mother did that for you as a child. Think of the touch of God as He wipes away each tear and comforts us with His love.

God is not a mean tyrant in Heaven, just waiting for you and me to “mess up.” He loves us beyond anything we can understand. I believe our tears will fall when we experience His love on that day, face to face.

Pre-Rapture Commentary:

Rapture Ready:

Well, here we go kid-do’s… After the majority of Americans concluded THEIR “godless” Thanksgiving without Almighty God and ALL the realities of Who He is, which is dictated by His HOLY WORD it is “Black Friday”. America’s Thanksgiving and Holiday season now consists of thanking THEIR god’s of self narcissism, human efforts and personal ambitions, while of course eating, drinking and watching football. My friends don’t get me wrong… there is absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying a fine diner with your loved ones, eating good food, stuffing yourself, watching football, exchanging gifts, rejoicing over the work of you hands and even trying to save a few bucks on material things when its done with thanksgiving to Almighty God (1 Cor. 10:31), but the whole mood now in this country at this time of the year is to serve self and in some places it is very subtle and hard to see.

We as a nation have rejected Almighty God’s SAVING message to us and to the world that Almighty God sent His Son to deliver us from our sins.

Godless living affects the majority of Americans today. We as a nation have rejected Almighty God’s SAVING message to us and to the world that Almighty God sent His Son to deliver us from our sins (John 3:16-17). This “Christmas” message is now drowned out by worldly self interest and personal materialism. Indeed, Satan has won a great victory in replacing the realities of one’s ETERNAL needs for temporal and fading wants (1 John 2:15-17). Whether one is a conservative, moderate, liberal or a progressive commie or whether one is of the lazy poor, the true poor, the middle class, the rich or the filthy rich, the bottom line and common denominator is self generated interest which excludes our Creator and our true ETERNAL needs (Matt. 15:7-9, Rom.1:18-32, 2 Tim 3:2).

Anyone who lives their existence here in time that EXCLUDES Almighty God our Creator, His saving grace and Savior, His Word and sound biblical doctrine is one of utter futility, vanity and is self centered.

What do I mean by serving self? I am sure for many reading this assessment might think I have gone way over the top on this. Well hear me out… The “bottom line” of what I am trying to state is that ANY life (i.e., one’s brief existence here in time), whether conservative, moderate, liberal or a progressive commie, whether one is of the lazy poor, the true poor, the middle class, the rich or the filthy rich that lives out their existence here in time that EXCLUDES Almighty God our Creator, His saving grace and Savior, His Word and sound biblical doctrine is one of utter futility, vanity and is self centered (Eccl., Mark 24:35-39, Rom. 1:20-22). It is the wide road which leads to damnation and ETERNAL ruin and it is named the “do as thou wilt” highway (Matt. 7:13-14, Rev. 20:11-15). This road ends with its travelers doing a Thelma and Louise into ETERNAL damnation and ruin. It would be an awesome thing to interview many of life’s travelers who have taken this narcissistic highway to ruin. I am sure that they would testify in the end that their brief godless existence was NOT worth the ETERNAL consequences (Luke 16:19-31, John 3:16-17, Rev. 20:11-15).

This road ends with its travelers doing a Thelma and Louise into ETERNAL damnation and ruin!

Nothing in this brief fallen world can EVER fill the ETERNAL void of humanity for we were designed to house our ETERNAL Creator (Eccl. 3:11, Rom. 11:33). Go ahead my friend, STUFF IT with all your heart desires (virtuous or vice); Sex, drugs, wine, women, song, IPods, flat screens, new cars, houses, lands and gold, purpose, adventure, glory, whatever; indulge my friend until you possess the WHOLE ENTIRE world (Matt.16:26)! It will NEVER satisfy and in the end you will be as Solomon of old and profess that “ALL is vanity” (Eccl.1:1-5)! You will end up as the rich fool who was building barns only to lose it all in the end (Luke 12:15-23). ”Jesus stated, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). God’s Word states; But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Cor. 2:9).

It is your Creator that loves you with an EVERLASTING love and has ONLY glorious things for you FOREVERMORE (1 Cor. 2:9, Rev. 21, 22:1-5). That is why you were created. To know God and to enjoy Him FOREVER! Oh the FOOL who would rather seek vain temporal worldly glory and earthly possessions in a narcissistic delusional reality (Luke 12:20, James 4:14, 5:1-5, Rev. 20:11-15). As we head into another narcissistic godless Christ rejecting “holiday season” may you be sure that you personally know the very One who left Heaven’s glory and put on humanity so He might die on the cross to pay for the sins of the world (John 1:14, 3:16-17, Phil.2:5-10, Heb.10:4-14). That is what our existence (born – die) here is all about! The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! DJP I.F.

Romans 5:8 – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Sin separates us from God. God’s Peace and Eternal Life are lost because of our sins.

God has provided the gift of ETERNAL Life. This Life is found in His Son, Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:16 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Romans 5:21 – “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 10:9 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:13 – “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10:10 – “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Dear God, I know that I am a transgressor against Your PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS and I need Your complete forgiveness to enter SAFELY and PERFECTLY into ETERNITY and into Thy HOLY PRESENCE. I believe with ALL my heart that You (Jesus Christ) died for ALL my TRANSGRESSIONS against You as Your Word clearly states and rose from the dead for my justification. I now REPENT and PLACE my complete trust in You as MY Lord and Savior and will follow You as the Lord of my Life. May it be so!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Help for the Seeking Heart.

WEBPAGE ADMINISTRATOR: The study and understanding of Bible Prophecy is “Imperative” in the overall understand of God’s Word in general; An example of this point is the mass confusion of many Christians in understanding God’s timeline in the Revelations of John, Revelation Ch 6-22. The first 3 Chapters are an explanation of the 7 Churches at the time of John’s writing, which are also applicable to the 7 different types of Churches/Christian attitudes in the Churches at this particular time, and in the past. 2,000 yrs. i.e. Revelation 3:14 is a message to the Church of Laodicea, (The current day Church System), “Last Days Church”. Jesus said in Rev 3:15 that “I know thy works that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot, 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.

This is a very distinct message, to the “Watered down Apostate Church of today” and should not be taken lightly.

The Revelations flow from Rev Ch6 to Rev Ch22 “Over a 7 year Period”. The timeline does jump back and forth just to please some prophecy writers, this fact is imperative in the understanding of the Revelations and Biblical Prophecy in general, and as such so is the correct interpretation of overall scripture from God’s perspective, not OUR personal interpretation.
