Matthew 24:3-14 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

1) Israel’s armed forces have concluded two separate military exercises, with a declared intention of “preparing for an all-out multi-front war.”
2) The stand-off between Washington and Tehran continues to intensify, as the Islamic Republic announced that it has shot down an American military drone, which according to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards infiltrated Iran’s airspace.
3) Despite the growing number of direct attacks at American installations, the United States continues to insist that it is not seeking a military escalation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
US Navy drone shot down by Iranian missile over Strait of Hormuz in ‘unprovoked attack

WAR DRUMS: PUTIN WARNS THE US THAT WAR WITH IRAN WOULD BE ‘CATASTROPHIC’
(The Sun) – Donald Trump has warned Iran has “made a very big mistake” shooting down a US drone. His comments come as Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the US against using force on Iran, saying it would have catastrophic consequences. Iran has said it’s “ready for war” after claiming to shoot down a US “spy” drone today as tensions continue to rise in the Persian Gulf. But the US president tweeted: “Iran made a very big mistake!” Speaking on Thursday during a televised call-in show,
Putin said the US military action against Iran would be a “catastrophe for the region as a minimum.” He added that it would trigger an escalation of hostilities with unpredictable results. Trump tonight claimed the drone strike could have been an accident by someone “foolish and stupid”. He added: “I have a feeling – I may be wrong, and I may be right, but I’m right a lot – I have a feeling that it was a mistake made by somebody that shouldn’t have been doing what they did... U.S. EXPECTED TO STRIKE BACK FOR IRAN’S DOWNING OF DRONE
TRUMP: ‘IRAN MADE A BIG MISTAKE’
BY: Bill Gertz Follow @BillGertz – June 20, 2019 2:10 pm
The United States is likely to take military action against Iran in the coming days for Tehran’s downing a U.S. drone in international airspace on Wednesday near the Strait of Hormuz.
The Central Command said an RQ-4 Global Hawk drone aircraft was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile system while operating in international airspace around 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday.
President Trump suggested retaliation for the attack is coming. “Iran made a very big mistake,” the president tweeted.
Later during an Oval Office meeting with Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, Trump was asked about a military strike against Iran and repeated that Iran “made a very big mistake” because the drone was flying over international waters.
“Iran made a big mistake. This drone was in international waters, clearly,” he said. “We have it all documented scientifically, not just words. And they made a very bad mistake.”
Trump suggested that the drone was mistakenly shot down and noted that “I have a big, big feeling” an Iranian air defense operator erred in attacking the drone, someone “loose and stupid who did it.”
Asked what will come next, the president said “You’ll find out.”
Air Force Lt. Gen. Joseph Guastella, commander of Central Command air forces, said the RQ-4 drone was conducting surveillance over the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz in international airspace near recent IRGC attacks on two tankers. The drone was struck by an IRGC surface-to-air missile fired from a base near Goruk, Iran, he said.
“This was an unprovoked attack on a U.S. surveillance asset that had not violated Iranian airspace at any time during its mission,” Guastella said in a statement. “This attack is an attempt to disrupt our ability to monitor the area following recent threats to international shipping and free flow of commerce.”
The three-star general also said that Iran falsely claimed the aircraft was shot down over Iran. “The aircraft was over the Strait of Hormuz and fell into international waters.”
“At the time of the intercept, the RQ-4 was operating at high-altitude approximately 34 kilometers from the nearest point of land on the Iranian coast,” he said. “This dangerous and escalatory attack was irresponsible and occurred in the vicinity of established air corridors between Dubai, UAE, and Muscat Oman, possibly endangering innocent civilians.”
“Iranian reports that the aircraft was over Iran are false,” said CENTCOM spokesman Capt. Bill Urban. “This was an unprovoked attack on a U.S. surveillance asset in international airspace.”
Tensions have increased with Iran since last week when the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, Tehran’s shock troops, were caught removing a limpet mine from the hull of a Japanese tanker that had been hit by other mines the United States has concluded came from Iran.
Another tanker also was attacked with the magnetic mines last week.
Several earlier Iran-linked attacks were carried out, including mines on the ships, an attack on a Saudi pipeline, a rocket firing near a U.S. embassy, and an attack on a NATO convoy in Afghanistan.
White House National Security Adviser John Bolton said in an interview last week the United States is set to retaliate for Iranian military provocations.
“The National Security Strategy lists Iran as one of the four top threats and we just need to be sure we’ve got the capability to deter them from these kinds of activities, threatening American lives and facilities, threatening the international oil market,” Bolton said when asked about the Pentagon’s plan to dispatch around 1,000 additional troops to the region.
“They would be making a big mistake if they doubted the president’s resolve on this,” Bolton added, echoing the president’s tweet.
The latest confrontation sent crude oil prices higher over concerns of a new Middle East war. Oil prices increased more than $3 to $63 a barrel, Reuters reports.
U.S. national security officials have been debating how to respond to the recent Iranian military attacks carried out through proxies in a bid to avoid a head-on conflict with the United States.
Options are expected to range from covert action against Iranian military targets using special forces commandos to airstrikes against Iranian bases.
The administration is weighing what it regards as proportional responses to recent Iranian actions.
That would likely mean an airstrike against Iranian air defense batteries located near the Strait of Hormuz that were involved in shooting down the Global Hawk drone.
The launch point of the surface-to-air missile firing, Goruk, is about 100 miles from Iran’s Bandar Abbas naval base and the range indicates the missile may have been one of Iran’s S-300 advanced air defense missiles. The S-300 has a range of up to 120 miles.
The Goruk facility and Bandar Abbas both could be targeted in a U.S. retaliatory strike.
The Pentagon last month deployed the aircraft carrier strike group led by the USS Abraham Lincoln to the Persian Gulf, along with a bomber strike group of B-52 bombers.
These forces likely would be called on to carry out any future retaliatory strikes.
The IRGC said in a statement that the drone was launched from a U.S. base located in the southern area of the Persian Gulf and flew from the Strait of Hormuz to Chabahar “with complete secrecy.”
“The unmanned aircraft while returning to the west of the region towards the Strait of Hormuz, violated the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and start collecting information and spying,” the statement said. “At 4:55 am, when the aggressive UAV entered our country’s territory, it was targeted by the IRGC air force and was shot down.”
Iranian state-run media also published a fake picture of a drone being shot down. The drone photo was actually an image of a U.S. drone that was shot down over Yemen in 2017.
Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the United States violated Iranian airspace.
“The US wages #EconomicTerrorism on Iran, has conducted covert action against us & now encroaches on our territory,” Zarif said on Twitter. “We don’t seek war, but will zealously defend our skies, land & waters.”
The official IRNA news agency said the drone was shot down near the Mubarak Mountain region in Hormuzgan province in the southern part of the country.
In Saudi Arabia, Adel al-Jubeir, minister of state for foreign affairs, said Iran had created a grave situation through its “aggressive behavior.” He said the government there would consult with other states in the region on how to respond.
“When you interfere with international shipping it has an impact on the supply of energy, it has an impact on the price of oil which has an impact on the world economy. It essentially affects almost every person on the globe,” al-Jubeir told reporters in London.
Iran earlier threatened to exceed the limits placed on uranium enrichment in response to the Trump administration jettisoning the 2015 nuclear deal.
Bolton said last week that Iran is ramping up uranium production.
“There’s no doubt in the minds of IAEA that uranium enrichment has increased, it’s not just the more sophisticated centrifuges, but the pace of production, the pace of enrichment has picked up,” Bolton said. “And so it threatens the various limits in the JCPOA that the Iranians have said they’ll violate, they’ll exceed beginning July the 8th.”
One model for a U.S. retaliatory strike could be the Reagan administration’s Operation Nimble Archer in 1987. American naval forces attacked two Iranian oil platforms in the Persian Gulf in response to an Iranian missile attack on an oil tanker.

DAILY CHRISTIAN BIBLICAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
ARE THE SPIRITS OF THE DEAD STILL IN THE GRAVE?
QUESTION: Thank you for taking time to answer my question. I am gentile searching my Jewish roots. Recently I have attended a Messianic congregation with mainly gentiles.
At one of the Shabbats the subject of life after death came up. I was shocked to find that the majority believed the spirit stays in the grave. Any scripture I quoted they had an answer for it. The answer that shocked me most was that of Yeshua’s reply to the thief on the cross. Here are some of their replies as follows:”
There is no punctuation in Greek of the NT. The comma was placed by translators according to a source book and changed the meaning of “today you will be with me in paradise”.
Yeshua went to the grave and stayed three days and nights and that paradise didn’t mean heaven, but garden.
The word for paradise was in the future.
Needless to say I was left reeling for it seems there was a response for all of the theology I was taught about life after death as related to the spirit. I honestly don’t know if this is a Messianic belief. I still believe the spirit goes somewhere to heaven or hell. Please help me get some understanding. I will greatly appreciate your response.
ANSWER: Having led a Messianic congregation for a time, I’ve come to the sad realization that there’s a fair amount of error being taught in the movement. Most of it involves some form of legalism. But this one is fairly common throughout the Church.
The Greek word for paradise does mean garden and was meant to recall the Garden of Eden to mind. Before the cross, no one could enter Heaven because the perfect sacrifice had not yet been made. Both believers and unbelievers who died went to a place called “Sheol” in Hebrew and “Hades” in Greek. Both words mean “abode of the dead.” Sometimes these words are translated “grave” but that’s only accurate as far as the body is concerned. For the spirit, Sheol was a place of waiting divided into two sections with a wide gulf between them. One section was for the faithful and was called Paradise, or Abraham’s Bosom. It was a place of rest and comfort. It’s where both Jesus and one of the thieves went upon dying.
But after Jesus came out of the tomb, He brought the spirits in Paradise with Him (Matt. 27:52-53) and since that time the spirits of believers who die go straight to be with the Lord. (2 Cor 5:6-10) Paradise has been empty since the Resurrection.
Some teach that the word body in 2 Cor. 5 means the Church, but it can’t be so because the passage says that when we leave the body we’ll be judged for the things we did while in the body. It’s a reference to the Bema Seat judgement of 1 Cor. 3:10-15 that takes place in Heaven. If in fact the word for paradise in Luke 23:43 is future it’s because when Jesus spoke their arrival in Paradise hadn’t happened yet.
The other section of the Abode of the Dead was a place of torment. Unbelievers who die have always gone there to await judgement and still do. It’s where the spirit of the other thief went. They’ll be brought to life at the end of the Millennium for their final judgement. (Rev. 20:11-15) You can get an understanding of Sheol straight from the Lord by reading Luke 16:19-31, the story (not a parable) of the rich man and Lazarus.
SPIRITS RESTING IN THE GRAVE?
QUESTION: The Bible says at the Rapture, upon Jesus’ return the dead will arise first and then those of us that are saved and still living at that time will be raised next. Does this mean that our ancestors spirits are presently at rest in the grave?
ANSWER: No. If they’re believers who died since the cross, their bodies were buried and soon returned to the dust from which they came (Genesis 3:19). But their spirits have gone to be with the Lord in Heaven and have been in His presence ever since.
In 2 Cor 5:6 Paul said as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, and in 2 Cor. 5:8 he said we would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Therefore it’s one or the other, in the body and away from the Lord, or away from the body and with the Lord.
In 1 Thes. 4:14 Paul said at the time of the rapture, God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep (died) in Christ. That means their spirits will accompany Him when He comes for the Church in 1 Thes. 4:16-17.
He said the dead will rise first, meaning their spirits will be joined with new resurrection bodies. Immediately thereafter we who are still alive and are left will be changed from mortal to immortal without passing through death. All this will happen in the twinkling of an eye (1 Cor. 15:51-53) and after that we’ll all be with the Lord forever.

DIRECT HIT: IRAN SHOOTS DOWN US ‘SPY’ DRONE AND IRGC SAYS IT’S ‘READY FOR WAR’ AS TENSIONS IN PERSIAN GULF FINALLY SEEM READY TO ERUPT
Speaking on Iranian state television, he said this morning’s incident sends a “clear message” to the US while issuing a threat to the country’s “enemies”. General Salami said: “We warn enemies of any aggression at this stage and assure them that we can reach them wherever they are.” IRNA, citing the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, identified the drone as an RQ-4 Global Hawk – an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) which can fly at high altitudes for more than 30 hours.
IRAN says it’s “ready for war” after shooting down a US “spy” drone today as tensions continue to rise in the Persian Gulf. The Islamic Republic’s state-run IRNA news agency has insisted the country’s Revolutionary Guard hit the drone when it flew over Iran in a “clear message” to Washington.
For many weeks now, the United States has been shipping tons of ships, planes and troops to the Middle East with the Pentagon warning that Iran was getting ready to do something. Well, today Iran did just that. They are claiming to have successfully shot down a United States ‘spy’ drone saying that their ‘airspace is a red line’ and will not be violated. All this brings us to a very interesting position.
If President Trump and the Pentagon have indeed been ‘itching for war’ as the Democrats have been saying, Iran just handed them their opportunity on the proverbial silver platter. But so far, no word from Washington about the downing of the drone other than admitting that it did indeed happen. Now we’re about to see who really wants war and who does not. But make no mistake about it, Iran’s actions are a harsh provocation to the United States, and it’s not fathomable that this action will go unpunished.
IRAN WARNS ‘IT’S READY FOR WAR’ AFTER SHOOTING DOWN US DRONE AS MIDDLE EAST TENSIONS RISE
FROM THE UK SUN: But the US military has challenged these claims saying the drone was gunned down in international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz by an Iranian surface-to-air missile Earlier, Navy Captain Bill Urban, of America’s Central Command, said: “No US aircraft were operating in Iranian airspace today.”
Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, said that Tehran does “not have any intention for war with any country, but we are ready for war” while insisting “our airspace is a red line”. Speaking on Iranian state television, he said this morning’s incident sends a “clear message” to the US while issuing a threat to the country’s “enemies”. General Salami said: “We warn enemies of any aggression at this stage and assure them that we can reach them wherever they are.”
IRNA, citing the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, identified the drone as an RQ-4 Global Hawk – an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) which can fly at high altitudes for more than 30 hours.
SPY DRONE ‘SHOT DOWN’
The drones can gather near-real-time, high-resolution imagery of large areas of land in all types of weather, its makers Northrop Grumman says. IRNA had earlier claimed the drone entered Iranian airspace near the Kouhmobarak district in southern Iran’s Hormozgan province. The reported shoot-down comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington.
In recent days, the US confirmed an attempt by Iran to shoot down an American drone last week as well as a successful destruction of one on June 6 by Iran-aligned Houthi forces in Yemen Earlier this week, the US announced plans to deploy more than 1,000 additional troops to the Middle East following bomb attacks on two oil tankers.
Photos released by the Pentagon appear to prove Iran’s Revolutionary Guard were behind the bomb attacks on the tankers in the Gulf of Oman. Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan announced the deployment for what he said were “defensive purposes” citing concerns about a threat from Iran.
He said the “recent Iranian attacks validate the reliable, credible intelligence we have received on hostile behaviour by Iranian forces and their proxy groups” towards America.
The new images, many taken from a Navy helicopter, show what the Pentagon said were Iranian forces removing an unexploded mine from the side of the Kokuka Courageous tanker. Other photos show a large hole on the side of the Japanese-owned ship, above the water line, that officials say appears to have been caused by another similar mine.
The vessel is believed to have been targeted by a magnetic mine causing a series of massive explosions. Both it and the Front Altair burst into flames and were forced to evacuate the troubled region.
Iran has denied any involvement in the explosions. It comes as US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the United States is “considering a full range of options” after the attacks.
“We have briefed the President a couple of times, we’ll continue to keep him updated,” he said. “We are confident that we can take a set of actions that can restore deterrence which is our mission set,” Pompeo said in an interview on CBS’s Face The Nation.
When questioned if a military response was one of the options, Pompeo responded: “Of course.” READ MORE:
US military says Iran shoot down of its drone was “unprovoked attack”
The U.S. military confirmed on Thursday that one of its drones was shot down but said the incident took place in international airspace, challenging Iran’s account that the U.S. aircraft had been flying over Iranian territory.
“Iranian reports that the aircraft was over Iran are false,” said Navy Captain Bill Urban, a spokesman for the U.S. military’s Central Command. “This was an unprovoked attack on a U.S. surveillance asset in international airspace.” READ MORE:
Did Iran Use Fake Photo To ‘Prove’ Drone Was Over Its Territory?
State-run IRNA news agency shared an image of a damaged drone falling to Earth to illustrate its report. But in a shocking twist it subsequently emerged that the same image – albeit in a wider crop – was previously used on a report of a drone being shot down over Yemen two years ago.
When revealing Iran had shot down the drone, the country’s state-run IRNA news agency released a picture of an aircraft appearing to spiral towards Earth. It claimed the image showed a RQ-4 Global Hawk, a US military drone, being blasted out the sky over Iranian territory.
However the same photograph – albeit in a wider crop – had previously appeared in a two-year-old report of a spy drone being shot down over Yemen in 2017.
That report quoted Yemeni military sources as saying it showed an American MQ 9 drone falling to Earth near the country’s capital Sanaa – and included pictures of the crashed drone burning on the ground.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether Iran mistakenly shared the old image or whether it was a deliberate attempt at spreading misinformation. Questions over the image come just days after the US announced plans to deploy more than 1,000 additional troops to the Middle East following bomb attacks on two oil tankers. READ MORE:
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard shoots down US drone

PRESIDENT TRUMP TELLS IRAN YOU ‘MADE A VERY BIG MISTAKE’ AS PUTIN IN RUSSIA WARNS AMERICA THAT WAR WILL HAVE ‘CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES’
President Trump said on Twitter that Iran “made a very big mistake!” His comments come as Russian President Vladimir Putin warned US against using force on Iran, saying it would have catastrophic consequences. Speaking on Thursday during a televised call-in show, Putin said the US military action against Iran would be a “catastrophe for the region as a minimum.” He added that it would trigger an escalation of hostilities with unpredictable results. Iran said it’s “ready for war” after shooting down a US “spy” drone today as tensions continue to rise in the Persian Gulf.
U.S. military officials returned fire verbally hours after Iran blasted a Navy high-altitude drone out of the sky over the Strait of Hormuz, with U.S. Central Command leaders on Thursday slamming the “unprovoked” strike. Russia warns of ‘Catastrophic Consequences’ should war break out
As President Trump this morning blasted Iran, telling them that they made a ‘very big mistake’ in downing the US surveillance drone, over in Russia Vladimir Putin weighed in with a veiled threat to America saying any military action in the region would come at the cost of ‘catastrophic consequences’. And just like that, 3 nations stand on the brink of war. What will likely happen next?
The United States has a number of options, but certainly something has to be done. Iran cannot openly strike against America and expect no reprisals of any kind. Russia knows this, and up to a certain point, will not intervene if the US decides on a pointed but limited military response. Such was the case in Syria in 2018 when President Trump ordered a military strike on that nation in response to the chemical attacks by Assad on his own people. 59 Tomahawk missiles were fired and Russia did absolutely nothing. But that was then, and this is now, as the old saying goes.
Just remember one thing. When Trump was elected president, we wrote an article entitled ‘The Global Shaking From A Trump Presidency We Warned You About Last Year Has Already Started‘ and in it we made the case that God had put Trump in office as a judgment. That article has actually aged very well, is quite thought provoking, and we highly recommend you go back and read it. While you’re at it, go back and spend a little time in our ‘The Last Trump’ archive, that will be quite an eye-opener I promise you.
US NAVY DRONE SHOT DOWN BY IRANIAN MISSILE OVER STRAIT OF HORMUZ IN ‘UNPROVOKED ATTACK,’ CENTRAL COMMAND SAYS
FROM FOX NEWS: President Trump said on Twitter that Iran “made a very big mistake!” The downing of the drone, via surface-to-air missile, is only the most recent Iranian provocation in the region, coming on the heels of a disputed attack on a pair of oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman last week. U.S. officials say Iran was behind the tanker attacks, however, the Islamic Republic has not claimed responsibility and even suggested American involvement in the plot.
Similarly, Iran claimed the U.S. drone on Thursday was over Iranian airspace when it was shot down — but American officials stated unequivocally the incident occurred in international airspace.
U.S. Central Command said in a statement that a U.S. Navy Broad Area Maritime Surveillance ISR aircraft, known as a BAMS-D, was shot down at approximately 7:35 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
“Iranian reports that the aircraft was over Iran are false,” Capt. Bill Urban, a U.S. Central Command spokesman, said in a statement. “This was an unprovoked attack on a U.S. surveillance asset in international airspace.”
DONALD TRUMP HAS WARNED IRAN HAS “MADE A VERY BIG MISTAKE” SHOOTING DOWN A US DRONE
His comments come as Russian President Vladimir Putin warned US against using force on Iran, saying it would have catastrophic consequences. Iran said it’s “ready for war” after claiming to shoot down a US “spy” drone today as tensions continue to rise in the Persian Gulf.
But the US president tweeted: “Iran made a very big mistake!”
Speaking on Thursday during a televised call-in show, Putin said the US military action against Iran would be a “catastrophe for the region as a minimum.” He added that it would trigger an escalation of hostilities with unpredictable results.
Putin noted that Iran has abided by the terms of a nuclear deal despite the US withdrawal, adding that he considers US sanctions against Iran unfounded.

Iran has shot down a U.S. Navy drone in what the Pentagon is calling an “unprovoked attack” in international airspace. CBS News foreign correspondent Charlie D’Agata reports from United Arab Emirates and CBS News national security correspondent David Martin joins CBSN from the Pentagon.
With tensions rising between Israel’s ally the US and its arch foe Iran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Jewish state’s enemies not to test it Wednesday, his office said.
“I hear our neighbors from the north, south and east threatening our destruction,” Netanyahu said in a statement released by his office after he observed a large-scale military exercise in the north of the country.
“I say to our enemies: The Israeli army has very great destructive power. Don’t test us.”
Across Israel’s northern borders Hezbollah—backed by Iran—has its power base in Lebanon and a presence in Syria, where Iran also has a presence.
To the south is the Gaza Strip, whose Islamist rulers Hamas also enjoy support from the Islamic republic.
Israeli public radio said that Netanyahu convened his security cabinet for a meeting that lasted close to four hours “in the shadow of the tension in the Persian Gulf.”
The radio said that it was the second time in a week the senior ministers had met, after a session on Sunday.
Israeli news site Walla! said the ministers also discussed Iran’s announcement Monday that from June 27 it would break the limit on the size of its uranium stockpile set by a 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.
Netanyahu’s office did not immediately confirm or deny that a security cabinet meeting took place on Wednesday.
Tensions between Tehran and Washington have grown since the US last year unilaterally quit the 2015 nuclear deal and re-imposed sweeping sanctions on Iran.
The US has since bolstered its military presence in the Middle East and blacklisted Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization.
The United States has blamed Iran for last week’s attacks on two tankers in the Gulf of Oman, releasing images and a grainy video it alleges shows Iranians on a patrol boat removing an unexploded limpet mine attached to one of the tankers.
Iran strongly denies the accusations and has hinted that Washington was responsible for the attacks.
AS TENSIONS BETWEEN IRAN AND THE UNITED STATES CONTINUE TO RISE, ISRAEL HOLDS MASSIVE MILITARY EXERCISES DEBUTS F-35 ADIR STEALTH FIGHTER JET
“I am very impressed by the improvement in readiness, by the fighting spirit of the soldiers and commanders, and mainly by the destructive power,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said as he attended part of the drill. “I say to our enemies: The military has very great destructive power. Don’t test us.” The drill in northern Israel featured the country’s ever-growing arsenal of unmanned aircraft, already deployed continuously in reconnaissance missions along Israel’s borders.

Israel wrapped up its largest military drill in years on Wednesday, with thousands of troops from the army, navy and air force simulating a future war with the militant Lebanese Hezbollah group amid fears that Iran would draw its Shiite proxy into the recent growing tensions in the Persian Gulf.
Israel made history this week by being the very first nation anywhere in the world to hold war games using the incredibly powerful new F-35 Adir stealth fighter jet. The Hebrew word “Adir” means “mighty ones” and these planes certainly are that. It gives the Israeli Air Force advantages in the air that no other nation in the Middle East currently has.
“Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.” Joel 3:11-13 (KJV)
Made by Lockheed Martin and purchased from the United States, Israel has taken the F-35 and has heavily upgraded it to be even superior to the planes now flying in the United States Air Force. They are the only foreign nation to have done this. Clearly God is preparing Israel and the Jews for something quite intense in the very near future. As the drill concluded today in Israel, Netanyahu remarked “I say to our enemies: The military has very great destructive power. Don’t test us.” That may be the biggest understatement of the year.
The Israeli Air Force began a week-long drill on Sunday, simulating a multi-front war with all the platforms and squadrons, including for the first time the F-35i Adir stealth fighter jet.
FROM ABC NEWS: The Israeli military said the four-day exercise had been planned long in advance and focused on the immersion of all branches against threats emanating from Israel’s north. It included a large deployment of unmanned aircraft and the first use of the F-35 stealth fighter planes to prepare for scenarios of missile attacks and underground infiltrations from Lebanon.
But rising tensions between Iran and the United States clearly served as a backdrop.
Iran recently announced it was breaking its compliance with the nuclear deal with world powers amid the renewal of crippling American sanctions. The Trump administration has ordered 1,000 more troops to the Middle East amid accusations that Iran was behind a series of strikes against oil tankers near the Persian Gulf.
Israeli officials fear Iran may try to mobilize Hezbollah as its most potent toll against Israel in a confrontation. Israel has long identified Iran as its greatest threat, citing its suspect nuclear program, development of long-range missiles and hostile rhetoric.
The Lebanese Shiite militant group battled Israel to a stalemate in a month-long war in 2006 and has since gained valuable battle experience in the Syrian civil war. Over the past 13 years, Israel has carried out dozens of airstrikes against suspected weapons shipments from Iran through Syria to Lebanon and has engaged in several dust ups. But its field training has been primarily aimed toward delivering a far more decisive victory in its next full-scale war with Hezbollah.
Though the military would not mention it by name, Hezbollah was clearly the central focus of the drill.
“I am very impressed by the improvement in readiness, by the fighting spirit of the soldiers and commanders, and mainly by the destructive power,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said as he attended part of the drill. “I say to our enemies: The military has very great destructive power. Don’t test us.”
Netanyahu, who has been a vocal critic of Iran over the years, has been uncharacteristically quiet throughout the latest escalation in the Persian Gulf.
Speaking Tuesday, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin was far more specific in identifying the threat.
“We caution Hezbollah not to subordinate Lebanon to Iran’s agenda, and we caution Lebanon not to be used as a launching pad for attacks against Israel,” Rivlin said. “We are not happy to go to war, but the military is fully prepared to respond to any threat and any scenario.”
The drill in northern Israel featured the country’s ever-growing arsenal of unmanned aircraft, already deployed continuously in reconnaissance missions along Israel’s borders.
Though never confirmed by Israel, the drones are also suspected of being able to carry out surgical aerial strikes that have lightened the load of Israel’s fleet of fighter jets. Able to carry out missions that would be more challenging and perilous to manned flight, the drones look to play a major role in any future war with Hezbollah, said Capt. M, the deputy commander of the Black Snake Drone Squadron, who could only be identified by his first initial according to military protocol.
“The north is a more complex fighting arena,” he said. “We are preparing for a prolonged round of fighting and the drones are an integral part of it.”
Israel’s multi-layer aerial defense systems were also being integrated into the drill, with the assumption that a war would entail massive missile fire toward all parts of the country. The Arrow rocket system is designed to intercept the longest-range missiles, including outside the atmosphere.
“Arrow was certainly developed to defend from the Iranian threat,” said Maj. Rimon Weiss, an Arrow missile commander. READ MORE:
ISRAELI AIR FORCE HOLDS MULTI-FRONT WAR SIMULATION DRILL

ISRAELI AIR FORCE F-35 ADIR IN ACTION
F-35 Adir—or “Mighty Ones”—will be the only F-35 variant to enter service heavily tailored to a foreign country’s specifications. Israel is also developing two different sets of external fuel tanks to extend the F-35’s range. The first will be non-stealthy 425-gallon underwing tanks developed by a subsidiary of Elbit—these could be dropped when approaching enemy airspace (the pylons holding the drop tanks would reportedly detach as well so as not to compromise stealth), or used for missions in which stealth isn’t necessary. Further down the line, IAI wants to co-develop with Lockheed bolt-on conformal fuel tanks which “hug” the F-35 airframe so as not to compromise stealth and aerodynamics .
Pentagon: New US Troop Deployment to Middle East to Include Patriot Missiles, Drones – Sputnik International
The Pentagon revealed Wednesday that the US’ latest troop deployment to the Middle East will also include a Patriot Missile battalion, drones and manned surveillance aircraft.
Additionally, the Pentagon has indicated that it doesn’t want war with Iran, but that it is “postured and ready to defend US forces and interests in the region,” Reuters reported.
The latest development comes days after then acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan announced on Monday that the US would be sending an additional 1,000 troops to the Middle East to counter alleged Iranian aggression. In a statement released at the time, Shanahan stated that the service members would be used “for defensive purposes to address air, naval and ground-based threats” in the region.
“The recent Iranian attacks validate the reliable, credible intelligence we have received on hostile behavior by Iranian forces and their proxy group that threaten United States personnel and interests across the region,” the statement adds.
The Monday reveal in addition to the previous deployment of a US aircraft carrier strike group earlier this year was prompted by the US’ claims that Iran was to blame for the recent attacks on oil tankers in the region. Iran has repeatedly rejected the notion that it had anything to do with the strikes.
Relations between the US and Iran have largely remained at a simmer since the US opted to pull out of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, an act which subsequently triggered the restart of a series of sanctions.
With the latest TIC data showing China following Russia’s lead and reducing its US Treasury exposure (to two-year lows), as it increases its gold reserves (for six straight months), the unipolar US hegemon faces an ugly trend among the ‘rest of the world’ attempting to de-dollarize, as Sergey Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, calls the US dollar is an anachronism of the modern world economy.
Countries across the globe, including Russia, China, India, and others, have been working to diversify their foreign reserves away from the greenback.
And, as RT reports, the head of the Russian intelligence service has now voiced those concerns clearly – that the use of the dollar presents risks and more nations are looking into finding alternative tools for doing business.
“It seems abnormal that the United States, behaving so aggressively and unpredictably, continues to be the holder of the main reserve currency.”
“Due to the objective strengthening of multipolarity, the monopoly position of the dollar in international economic relations becomes anachronistic. Gradually, the dollar is becoming toxic.”
And it’s not just talk, as RT notes, Russia has taken concrete steps towards de-dollarizing the economy.
So far, Moscow has managed to partially phase out the dollar from its exports, signing currency-swap agreements with a number of countries, including China, India, and Iran. Russia has recently proposed using the euro instead of the US dollar in trade with the European Union.
This comes on the heels of Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad proposing a gold-backed currency as a unit of account for trade between East Asian nations.
“For the past 40+ years we’ve tried to remove ourselves from a gold standard, we pretended it doesn’t exist… and that failed because gold is always telling the truth… and you don’t have to trust to somebody printing up a whole bunch of money,”
Today’s currency trading is manipulative, he added.
U.S. STEEL PLANTS ARE GOING IDLE, BUT THE FED CONTINUES TO PERPETUATE THE MYTH THAT EVERYTHING IS JUST FINE
June 19, 2019 by Michael Snyder – http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/
Even though there is a tremendous amount of evidence to the contrary, the Federal Reserve continues to insist that the U.S. economy is in good shape. On Wednesday, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell told the nation that “the economy has performed relatively well” in 2019 and he insisted that “the baseline outlook is a good one.” Of course he didn’t say anything about our collapsing manufacturing numbers, the worst global trade numbers since the last recession or the “bloodbath” in the U.S. trucking industry. Powell did concede that “the risk of less favourable outcomes has risen”, but other than vague statements like that he really didn’t acknowledge our growing economic problems at all. Considering the fact that Powell has more power over the U.S. economy than anyone else in the entire country, this should deeply concern all of us. To me, Powell’s performance on Wednesday was quite reminiscent of the moment in 2008 when Fed Chair Ben Bernanke told us that the Federal Reserve was not “currently forecasting a recession” after a recession had already begun. 1,000 EARTHQUAKES IN 3 WEEKS? OH YEAH, THOSE LIVING NEAR THE SAN ANDREAS FAULT DEFINITELY HAVE REASON TO BE CONCERNED
In a key seismic zone approximately 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, there have been more than 1,000 earthquakes since May 25th. Needless to say, it would be quite alarming for the entire state of California to experience more than 1,000 significant earthquakes in just 3 weeks, but in this case we are talking about an area that is “less than a square mile” in size. And what makes this even more concerning is that all of these earthquakes are happening in a location that is very close to the San Andreas Fault. Could it be possible that the San Andreas Fault is about to wake up in a major way? I don’t know about you, but if I was living in southern California right now I would find this sort of news to be extremely unsettling… (READ MORE…)
THEY ARE CALLING THIS A “BLOODBATH” FOR THE $800 BILLION TRUCKING INDUSTRY AS U.S. ECONOMIC ACTIVITY DRAMATICALLY DECLINES
June 18, 2019June 18, 2019 by Michael Snyder – http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/
The U.S. trucking industry has not experienced a downturn of this magnitude since the last financial crisis, and this is one of the clearest signs yet that the U.S. economy is steamrolling into a severe economic downturn. When economic activity is increasing, the trucking industry sees rising demand for their services and freight rates tend to go up. That is precisely what we witnessed in 2018, and truckers were hoping for more of the same in 2019. But when economic activity is on the decline, the trucking industry sees decreasing demand for their services and freight rates tend to go down. Unfortunately, the numbers that the U.S. trucking industry is reporting right now are absolutely abysmal. Freight rates have now fallen for six months in a row on a year-over-year basis, and according to Business Insider during the month of May loads on the spot market fell “by a chilling 62.6%” compared to last year… (READ MORE…)
NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT WEBSITE ELIMINATES ‘ISRAEL’, REPLACES WITH ‘PALESTINE’
CBN) – An official New Zealand government webpage about immigration has come under fire for displaying an inaccurate and distorted fact sheet that eliminated Israel. The site’s map of the Middle East showed the land of Israel, but instead of calling it Israel, the site called it “Palestine”. It was part of a fact sheet offering information about Palestinian immigrants to New Zealand. It also described East Jerusalem as “the designated capital of the State of Palestine,”
according to Christians United for Israel. Israel Institute of New Zealand reports the geography of the map was totally inaccurate, completely rejecting Israel’s existence. “The most immediately obvious of the errors was a map labelling the whole of modern-day Israel as ‘Palestine,’” said the institute’s director, Ashley Church. “This is incredibly offensive and the equivalent of New Zealand Immigration displaying a map of the UK which removed Scotland and Wales and referred to the entirety of the British Isles as England.” READ MORE:
