John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6)
1Cor. 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: AND THAT NO MAN CAN SAY THAT JESUS IS THE LORD, BUT BY THE HOLY GHOST.

Eph. 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
Eph. 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption

Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them
(Romans 12:2) to seek God’s will, the Lord says, Do not worry about what you’ll eat or drink or wear. But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well
(Matt. 6:31-33).
Rev. 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth:

QUESTION:    Have you ever done an article on what it means to pick up and carry your cross daily as the Lord commands us to do? I have not really understood what this means.
ANSWER:    The fullest expression of this idea is in Mark 8:33-38, where the verse in question is contained.
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it” (Mark 8:33-35).
When Jesus picked up His cross, He was literally choosing His Father’s will for His life over His own desires. On the night of His betrayal, He asked His father three times to be released from His promise to die for us if there was any other way to save us. Each time He ended His prayer by agreeing to the Father’s will over His own. Some call this the unanswered prayer, but the simple truth is that there was no other way.
Most of us will never be asked to make such an agonising choice with our own life. But we are all asked to put aside our own desires for our life in favor of the Lord’s will for us (Romans 12:1-2). That’s what it means to take up our cross and follow Him. This is often called living a sacrificial life, but there are greater blessings involved in doing so than we could ever hope to achieve on our own.
Because Jesus was willing to humble Himself to the point of death on a cross, God made His name the name above all names, before whom everyone will bow and acknowledge Him as Lord (Phil. 2:9-11).
Because we’re willing to set aside our plans for our life in favour of the life God has planned for us, He will give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4), including an abundant (John 10:10) and victorious (1 Cor. 9:24-25) life.
There is no problem with wearing a cross to declare your faith in Jesus. By the phrase “take up his cross and follow me” in Matt. 10:38, Jesus was referring to our need to put our old life with its earthly goals and aspirations to death, and dedicate our new life to the Lord to do with as He determines.

Sri Lanka: At least 207 killed, hundreds injured in Easter bombings
At least 207 people were killed and hundreds were injured in a series of bombing attacks on several churches and hotels in Sri Lanka throughout Easter Sunday, police and officials said. Sri Lanka’s defense minister said seven suspects have been arrested.
The first six blasts were triggered almost simultaneously on Sunday morning. Three high-end hotels and one church in the capital, Colombo, were hit, while two additional churches were targeted elsewhere in the country during Easter services, Sri Lankan police said.
Hours later, a seventh explosive was set off near a hotel in Dehawali, just south of Colombo, killing at least two people, and moments after that another bomb was detonated in a northern neighborhood of the capital, killing three, police said.
According to police, the eighth attack was a suicide bombing.
The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the suicide bomber detonated his explosives when officers entered a house in a northern suburb of the capital Colombo to carry out a search. Three officers were killed in the blast.
After the second wave of attacks, Sri Lanka’s defense ministry ordered a night-time curfew across the country, and authorities “temporarily” blocked access to social media websites and applications “in order to prevent incorrect and wrong information being spread,” Udaya R. Seneviratne, secretary to the country’s president, said in a statement.
The sites hit in the bombings were all heavily frequented by tourists, and at least 35 foreign nationals were killed in the explosions, police told AFP. A hospital source said Americans, British and Dutch citizens were among the dead.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Sri Lanka’s police chief issued a nationwide alert 10 days before the bomb attacks that suicide bombers planned to target “prominent churches,” according to the warning seen by AFP.
“A foreign intelligence agency has reported that the NTJ (National Thowheeth Jama’ath) is planning to carry out suicide attacks targeting prominent churches as well as the Indian high commission in Colombo,” said the alert, which was sent by police chief Pujuth Jayasundara to top officers.
The NTJ is a radical Muslim group in Sri Lanka that came to notice last year when it was linked to the vandalization of Buddhist statues.

France said to tell Lebanon: Israel won’t tolerate Iranian-backed missile plant
France has warned Lebanon that Israel will not tolerate the existence of an Iranian-backed manufacturing facility for precision-guided missiles located inside the country, the London-based Arabic-language Al-Hayat newspaper reported on Saturday.
Diplomatic sources from within the Arab world told the newspaper details of the facility were conveyed to France from the US and originated with Israel.
The newspaper reported that France expects Lebanon to take action against the Iranian-backed production facility.
Earlier this month, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly warned Beirut about a new missile production facility by Iranian proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon, saying that the actions of the terror group and Iran constituted a threat to both Israel and Lebanon.
In January, President Reuven Rivlin told French President Emmanuel Macron that Israel could be forced to strike Hezbollah’s rocket-building operations “in the heart of Beirut,” a development he warned would drag Lebanon into a punishing regional war that neither side wants.
Rivlin stressed at the time that Israel holds the Lebanese government responsible for all military activity in its territory and urged Macron to use France’s diplomatic clout to convince Beirut to contain the Iran-backed Hezbollah.
Israel maintains that Hezbollah, with Iranian assistance, is working to set up factories in Beirut to produce precision-guided missiles it will ultimately direct against the Jewish state.

Media Claims Israel’s New Missile May Outsmart Russia’s S-300 in Syria
Just a week ago, an independent defence analyst reported that Israeli Air Force F-16s may have used the newly-developed air defence-evading “Rampage” air-to-surface missiles during an alleged airstrike in Syria.
Israel’s newest “Rampage” missiles are designed to outsmart the Russian S-300 air defence systems, deployed in Syria last October, and destroy highly protected targets like bunkers, Telepolis’ journalist Florian Rötzer claims.
In a Friday article, Rötzer cited Israeli media as reporting that the country’s Air Force deployed the air-to-surface supersonic rocket for the first time a week ago, having allegedly destroyed a large hangar and three buildings in Syria’s Hama Province.
The journalist added that Israeli satellite intelligence company ImageSat International had released satellite images of the facilities, which it says may be “Iran-related missile manufacturing hangars” in Syria.
Rötzer continued by saying that the reported Israeli operation has been described in the media as a reaction to Syria’s Russia-upgraded air defence: in October, Moscow delivered its S-300 batteries to Damascus to enhance the security of Russian service members stationed in Syria.
According to him, the “Rampage” missiles may have capabilities that can outsmart missile defence systems, including S-300s, and the reported airstrikes in Hama are likely to be seen as “an advertisement for the new armaments products, moreover, they should serve as a deterrent, if they actually apply”.

What Does the Sunrise Mean for Israel?
Today, many Bible-believing pastors ascribe to replacement theology, which asserts that God has replaced Israel with the church. They preach that Israel no longer has a place in God’s prophetic program for the future.
Is this true? No! This doctrine contradicts the clear teaching of Scripture in so many places! In Romans 11:1-2, Paul leaves no doubt as to the continuing place of Israel in prophecy,
“I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew…”
In a previous post, I wrote about Israel’s vital place in prophecy. As we continue on with this theme, it’s important to keep in mind why this matters so much to us:
  1. It enables us to recognize this as the season of Jesus’ appearing
  2. It grounds our hope in the words of prophecy
  3. It safeguards us from doctrinal error
As we look at the words of Old Testament prophets, and in particular Jeremiah, we find overwhelming evidence regarding God’s intention to restore Israel, just as He has begun to do before our eyes.
The words of Jeremiah 30:3 is one of several verses in the Old Testament that speak of such a restoration,
“For behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will restore the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall take possession of it.”
While some seek to apply these words to Judah’s return from captivity in Babylon, the prophet’s words depict a still future time. The restoration in this verse includes both “Israel and Judah. Such a combined kingdom has not appeared since the early days of King Rehoboam, the son of Solomon.
Jeremiah 30:9 confirms the unfulfilled nature of God’s promise to the Israelites, “But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.” Since the time of Jeremiah, no one from the lineage of David has ruled over Israel. Only Jesus has the lineage to sit on the throne of David, which He will do someday (Isa. 9:7).
The restoration Jeremiah promised to Israel still awaits a future fulfilment.
As if the grand assurance of restoration was not enough, the prophet provides one of the strongest statements in all the Bible regarding Israel’s permanence as a nation in Jeremiah 31:35-36:
Thus says the Lord,
who gives the sun for light by day
and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night,
who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—
the Lord of hosts is his name:
“If this fixed order departs
from before me, declares the Lord,
then shall the offspring of Israel cease
from being a nation before me forever”
If the sun rises tomorrow, Israel remains a nation before the Lord. If we see the moon or the stars in the sky tonight, Israel continues as a people in God’s eyes. This statement leaves no doubt regarding God’s future plans to bless and restore Israel; His promise to the Israelites is no less sure than the “fixed order” of the moon and stars.
Could the Lord be any clearer regarding His promise to restore Israel in the future? I do not see how!
Just to make sure no one misunderstood His intent, the Lord followed His solemn pledge regarding the nation with physical descriptions of places in Jerusalem that He will rebuild in the future (Jer. 31:37-40). It’s as if He was saying, “Do not allegorize my promises to Israel; I will physically restore a kingdom to her.”
The error of replacement theology is not new to the church age. Even in Jeremiah’s day, some took the prophet’s prophecies regarding Nebuchadnezzar’s future destruction of Jerusalem to mean that God had forever rejected Israel. Notice the prophet’s response in 33:26 to the idea God had rejected Israel:
The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: “Have you not observed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two clans that he chose’? Thus they have despised my people so that they are no longer a nation in their sight. Thus says the Lord: If I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed order of heaven and earth, then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”
Notice that again the Lord rests the certainty of a future restoration for Israel on something we observe every day, “the fixed order of heaven and earth.”
We also see here the motivation for God repeated assurances throughout the Old Testament of a future for Israel. With Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians poised to destroy Jerusalem and the temple, many Israelites assumed the nation would never recover from such a devastating defeat. And apart from the Lord’s direct intervention, their assumption would have been correct. This is why the Lord, in no uncertain terms, assured the people of Jeremiah’s day that the coming judgment did not mean the end of Israel.
In order to fulfill His promise of a Messiah, the Lord brought His people back from exile to the Land He promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. While they never saw the Lord’s promise of a restored kingdom, they did see the birth of their Messiah.
Today, many of God’s prophecies regarding Israel remain unfulfilled. The reemergence of Israel as a nation, however, assures us of two things. First, it tells us the Lord has started to fulfill His promises regarding Israel that we see in Ezekiel 36-37. Second, Israel’s presence signifies that live in the last days of human history as we know it.
For us, God’s faithfulness to Israel assures us that He will keep His promises. Just as God will never renege on His covenants or His promises to restore Israel, He will not fail to bring His New Testament Saints, that’s us, to glory.
The sun shines brightly outside my window this morning as I type these words. According to the prophet Jeremiah, this means Israel still exists as a nation in God’s eyes; He will preserve her as long as the current order of nature continues. What does this mean for us? It signifies we can rest in God’s faithfulness to keep His word to us; He is coming again to take us home to heaven!

Yellow Vest Violence Erupts Again, Spreads To Libya; 137 Arrested
More clashes broke out on Saturday between Gilets Jaunes (Yellow Vest) protesters and French riot police during the 23rd straight week of protests across France. Police had arrested 137 protesters by 15:40 CEST (3:40 PM local time), according to Euro News.
Authorities warned that they expected the protests to be more violent following the catastrophic fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral on Monday. Some demonstrators took issue with the approximately 1 billion euros ($1.12 billion) pledged so far to restore the landmark by some of the country’s wealthiest families, including the owners of luxury groups LVMH and Kering, the Bettencourt family behind the L’Oreal beauty empire, and scores of companies such as BNP, Total, Société Générale and Sanofi, according to Euro News.
Several demonstrators clearly alluded to the catastrophic fire at Notre-Dame cathedral on Monday, which prompted an outpouring of national sorrow and a rush by rich families and corporations to pledge around 1 billion euros ($1.12 billion) for its reconstruction.
Millions for Notre-Dame, what about for us, the poor?” read a sign worn by a demonstrator. “Everything for Notre-Dame, nothing for the miserables,” read another sign that evoked Victor Hugo’s well-known novel. –Reuters

The Mark Of The Beast System Fully Unfolds In 2019
While many Americans look at the Orwellian unfolding of China’s social credit system in China as something that will never happen here in their lifetime’s, this April 15th story over at Information Liberation by Chris Menahan that Steve Quayle had linked to on his website days ago helps to prove that not only is it already here but we may even be secretly ahead of China in it’s rollout.
With ‘dissidents’ in China now including those who have low social credit scores for things like smoking, and who are banned from using public transportation, renting hotel rooms and dining out among many other things, as Menahan reported, Pastor Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona had just announced that the Bank of America shut down all of his church’s bank accounts in what we can only see as the further ushering in of the ‘mark of the beast system’ here in America.
While Pastor Anderson had been extremely outspoken about his fundamentalist views on homosexuality, attracting a great deal of controversy, since when did the big banks take it upon themselves to be judge, jury and executioner of those whose religious or political philosophies they disagree with? As we’ll see within this ANP story, it’s now happening over and over and over again to outspoken Conservative public figures and while at the moment, this ‘discrimination’ is only happening on certain levels, just imagine what America might look like should it become institutionalized! As Tucker Carlson recently stated on Fox News, the way we’re going, “in 20 years, every 5-year-old will think 9/11 was committed by ‘white supremacists’”.
So let’s take a look within this ANP story at the ‘tools of the antichrist’ that are already in place and being further unveiled here in America as the ‘mark of the beast system’ is being fully put into place and global government tyranny and a one-world-religion are rolled out before our eyes. And as we’ll see within this story, should all of this unfold to its ultimate destination, it all leads to tyranny with ‘re-education camps’ and worse awaiting their time of full implementation yet many Americans still deny their existence.
As the previously mentioned Information Liberation story reports, earlier this year, ‘Proud Boys’ chairman Enrique Tarrio also had his bank account closed by Chase Bank, Conservative commentator Martina Markota had her business account closed by Chase Bank and Conservative activist and former Infowars commentator Joe Biggs had his Chase bank account closed as well, although that particular decision was later reversed after widespread public outrage.
With all of that being nothing short of discrimation but echoing what we’ve also been seeing all across the internet as ‘big tech’ shuts down Conservative and Christian voices it disagrees with, Steve Quayle warns us that if what we’re witnessing is carried out to its conclusion, “this is the end of all freedom which will cut off all Christians from goods and services. Consider this the hammers being cocked on the weapons of the Firing Squad. This is the prelude to the Mark of the beast!
And while we’re not quite at the point in America where China is on meting out punishments for ‘social credit fouls’, some of the punishments there include: 1. Banning from flying or getting the train. 2. Throttling internet speeds. 3. Banning you (or your kids!) from the best schools. 4. Stopping them from getting the best jobs. 5. Keeping them out of the best hotels. 6. Being publicly named as a bad citizen.
With even CNN going so far as to dox private citizens over their support of President Trump as Susan Duclos had reminded us of in this April 19th ANP story, and social justice warriors targetting President Trump supporters in the streets for simply wearing a MAGA hat, we already are seeing #6 being carried out here in America, though those doing the demonizing of President Trump and his supporters are clearly the ones who should be looking in the mirror when it comes to finding demons.
And as we’ll see in the next section below, the ‘US surveillance state’ of the globalists who insanely want to know everything about everybody yet remain as secretive as they possibly can themselves is already spread out across America, the antichrist tools in place as we see and hear in the 3rd video at the bottom of this story. And our ‘big tech’ helped create China’s monster. From this story titled “China’s Social Credit System – It’s Coming to the United States which warns China’s social credit system may soon be ‘America’s new nightmare’.
Chinese officials say that by 2020, the SCS will “allow the trustworthy to roam everywhere under heaven…”
But that’s only looking at the benefits for people with a high score.
Here’s the end of that quote: “while making it hard for the discredited to take a single step.”
If your credit score drops too low, you’re basically ejected from society.
In effect, the SCS is designed to completely eliminate mobility – social, class, or travel – for those who do not agree with the government’s definition of a model citizen.
If the punishments are so severe, surely it must be hard to get a low score. Only for horrific crimes, right? Wrong.
The common slogan in China is: “whoever violates the rules somewhere shall be restricted everywhere.”
China’s Social Credit System – America’s New Nightmare?
In a speech, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence described the SCS as: “…an Orwellian system premised on controlling virtually every facet of human life.”

The Thief on the Cross, The Gospel Awakening, Dwight Lyman Moody
“And he said unto Jesus, Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.”— Luke 23: -I2.
Every one who is not a Christian ought to be interested in this man, to know how he was converted. Any man who objects to sudden conversions should give attention to how this man was converted. If conversions are gradual, this poor thief could not have been converted. If a man who has lived a good, consistent life cannot be suddenly converted, then this thief didn’t have any chance. If it takes six months, six weeks, or six days to convert a man, there was no Chance for this thief. Turn to the 23rd chapter of Luke, and you will see how the Lord dealt with this man, who was not only a thief, but the worst kind of a thief. It was only the worst classes who were condemned to die the death upon the cross. We find this man was condemned to that most ignominious death.
When a prominent man dies, we are anxious to get his last words and acts. We ask, What did he do? What were his last words and acts? The last act of the Son of God was to save a sinner. He Commenced his ministry by saving sinners, and ended it by saving this poor thief. “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord: Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered.” He took this captive from the jaws of death. He was on the borders of hell, and Christ snatched him from the grasp of Satan. We are told by Matthew and Mark that these thieves came to curse; they both reviled Christ. They were not only thieves but revilers; and they cast it into his teeth that he said, “I am the Son of God.” Here, then, our Lord is condemned by them. There were none to pity them. Perhaps they might have had some mother in the crowd, but no one else had any pity for them. Justice cried out: “Let them be put to death; they are not worthy to live.*
The question is: What was it converted one of these thieves? I do not know, but I have an idea that it was Christ’s prayer. When Christ cried on the cross: “Forgive them, for they know not what they do!” I can imagine that did what the scourge did not do. They had gone through the trial, and their hearts had not been broken; they had been nailed to the cross, but their hearts had not been subdued; they raised no cry to God for mercy, but they reviled the Son of God. But when they heard the cry: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!” one o’f them says: “That man is not of the same spirit as we are. I would call out the thunderbolts of heaven to consume them.” There they are crying, “Save thyself if thou be the Son of God;” yet while they are crying this, the Son of God is crying to his Father to have mercy on them. It flashed into his soul that this was the Son of God, and that moment he confessed his sin. He turned to the other thief and rebuked him, and says, “Dost thou not fear God?” The fear of God fell upon him. There is not much hope of a man’s being saved until the fear of God comes upon him. Solomon says, “The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.” We read in Acts that great fear fell upon the people: that was the fear of the Lord. That was the first sign that conviction had entered the soul of the thief. “Dost thou not fear God?” That was the first sign we have of life in that condemned man.
The next thing, he justifies Christ: “He hath done nothing amiss.” When men are talking against Christ, they are a great way from becoming Christians. Now he says, “He hath done nothing amiss.” There was the world mocking him; but right there, in the midst of thieves, you can hear that thief crying out, “This man hath done nothing amiss.” “But,” he says, “we are suffering justly.” Now he took his place among the sinners, instead of trying to justify himself. He says: “We suffer justly; we have done wrong, and our condemnation is just.” There is no hope for a sinner until he admits that his condemnation is just. The great trouble is, people are trying to make out they are not sinners; and therefore there is no chance of reaching them. But this thief said, “Our sentence is just;” and he took his place among sinners. There is no hope for a sinner until he sees the condemnation is a just condemnation; because he b^s sinned, and come short of the glory of God. This thief confessed his sin, and then justified Christ, saying, “This man hath done nothing amiss.”
The next thing is, he had faith. Talk about faith, I think this is the most extraordinary case of faith in the Bible. We talk about Abraham as the father of the faithful; Abraham’s faith cannot compare with this man’s faith. God had Abraham twenty-five years talking up his faith. Moses say the burning bush, and God talked with him; he had reason to believe. But this man we h’ave no reason to believe ever knew anything about Christ. His disciples had heard his wonderful sermons and parables, and seen him perform his mighty works; and yet they had forsaken him. One of his chief men, Peter, had denied him with a curse; perhaps the thief heard this. Judas had betrayed him. He saw no glittering crown upon his brow; he could see where they had put the crown of thorns, and the scare they n»*de; he could see no sign of his kingdom. If he had a kingdom, where were his subjects? They were wagging their heads; they were crying: “Save thyself, if thou be King of the Jews.” Yet that thief called him Lord. I consider that man had more ‘aith than any other person mentioned in Scripture. When I was a boy I was a poor speller, but one day there came a word to the boy at the head of the class which he couldn’t spell, and the word went down to the foot; none of the class could spell it. I spelled it, as we used to say then, by good luck; and I went from the foot of the class to the head. So the thief on the cross passed by Abraham, Moses and Elijah, and went to the head of the class. How refreshing it must have been to Christ to have one more own him as Lord, and believe he had a kingdom, and that he was a King. Oh, thank God for this man’s testimony.” He said unto Jesus, “Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.” If you are going to get into the kingdom of God, or if you are going to come to Christ, you must have faith in him.
The first thing this thief did, he feared God. Then he did not justify himself but justified Christ. “We, indeed, suffer justly, but this man hath done nothing amiss.” Then his faith went out toward him; faith flashed into his soul. The moment he had faith in him he cried out: “Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.”
You see, in the conversion of this thief, that salvation is distinct and separate from works. Now some people tell us we have to work to be saved. What has the man who believes that to say about the salvation of this thief? How is he going to work, when he has nails through both hands and through both feet? He cannot work with his hands or run with his feet. When he had the use of his hands, they were lifted up to shed blood; and when he had the use of his feet, they were engaged in the service of the devil.
He took the Lord at his word, and believed. It is with the heart men believe, not with their hands or feet. All that is necessary for a man to be saved is, to believe with his heart. This thief made a good confession. If he had been a Christian fifty years, he could not have done Christ more service than he did there. He confessed him before the world; and for eighteen hundred years that confession has been told. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John have all recorded it. They felt it so important that they thought we should have it. Some one has said that Christ did not give the thief arms to fight for God, but he gave him wings that he might fly away to his Creator. He got an answer to his prayer as soon as he asked. He said, “Lord.” He put the Lord at the head of the prayer. “Lord, remember me.” Three short words—three golden links in that chain that bound him to the throne of God. The Lord could not help answering that prayer. He says he will save all that will call upon him; the man called upon him, and he had to answer the prayer.
He was led out in the morning to the cross; in the evening he was in the Paradise of God, crowned with a crown he should wear through all ages. In the morning led out to suffer punishment; in the evening, going down the streets of Paradise, arm in arm with the Son of God. In the morning, not an eye to pity &im; in the evening, up there amid the hallelujahs of heaven. In the morning, in the society of thieves.; in the evening, washed and made clean in the blood of the Lamb.
I believe that if every unsaved soul to-night in this hall would cry out, from the depths of his heart, “Lord, remember me,” the answer would
come this very night. Before I get through this sermon, the answer would come. He would remember you, and there would be the response, “This very night you shall become an heir of my kingdom.” You can become this night a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, if you will. I can imagine how the thief’s soul leaped for joy when he heard Christ say, “It is finished.” He wanted to follow him. I can • imagine, when the men came to break the legs of these thieves, that this one was in a hurry to be gone. The moment his soul left that body, it leaped into a chariot sent down from heaven; and away it went to meet the Savior. He was a condemned man in the morning; in the evening in the Paradise of God.
The thief was the first man to enter Paradise after the veil of the Temple was rent. If we could look up yonder, and see around the Throne; if we could catch a glimpse of the Throne, we should see the Father there and Jesus Christ at his right hand; but hard by the throne you should see that thief. He is there to-night. Eighteen hundred years he has been there, just because he cried: “Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.”
