Matthew 24:3-14 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

QUESTION:    I believe that a person full of faith can be healed, if it is God ‘s will. But I don’t understand the importance of the oil mentioned in James 5:14-15. I see false teachers on TV selling oil napkins and promising healing. Is anointing with oil still in practice? And isn’t God glorified when a Godly old saint is called home to be with Him?
ANSWER:    The only time Jesus was ever asked if He was willing to heal someone He answered, “I am willing” (Matt. 8:1-3, Mark 1:39-41, Luke 5:11-13) and healed the person. He is never unwilling, and He has never said, “It’s not my time for healing” nor does He strike us with illness to discipline us or strengthen our faith. These are man-made doctrines that contradict everything He died for. In their original form, the words of Isaiah 53:4-5 clearly describe both our physical and spiritual healing as results of the Lord’s suffering and death.
Oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. From the Book of Exodus forward, anointing a person with oil has symbolised setting that person apart as holy to the Lord (Exodus 30:22-33) and it’s still in practice. The fact that false teachers profit from the misuse of Biblical principles like this does not diminish their importance in our spiritual life.
The promise of healing doesn’t mean we can live forever in our sin infested bodies. The Lord has established a 70-year lifespan for humanity (Psalm 90:10). Anything beyond that is a gift from Him. But since this world is an evil place (1 John 5:19) where accidents and illnesses happen without warning or cause, where we’ve poisoned the air we breathe and the food we eat, and where the average person takes many more actions each day that will shorten his or her life than those that will preserve it, some don’t make it that far. You can’t blame God for that, and these aren’t secret things. They are well known to all who take the time to study.

QUESTION:    There are a lot of pastors who dip their finger in some holy oil and then lay hands on people. This oil is sold and advertised on TV. The Bible says we have to pray and heal the sick in the name of Jesus only. When the use of oil is questioned, these pastors answer by saying in the book of James 5:14 we are instructed to lay hands on the sick and anoint them with oil. Is this verse being applied correctly? Does the usage of oil in this verse have supernatural effect or medicinal effect?
ANSWER:    Anointing oil doesn’t have any supernatural or medicinal value. Its use is symbolic. It’s meant to demonstrate that the person we’re praying for is being set apart for a divine purpose. The Lord had Moses anoint Aaron to set him apart as the High Priest (Exodus 29:7). Later He had Samuel anoint David as the King of Israel (1 Samuel 16:13).
Mark 6:13 tells of the disciples anointing many sick people with oil and healing them. In this case the anointing was to set the person apart for divine healing. Using oil to anoint a person being prayed for is a proper application of James 5:14.
You can purchase a small vial of anointing oil in most Christian book stores for a reasonable price. Some of these actually come from the Holy Land and use a mixture of local olive oil and spices mentioned in the Bible.
Many believers who frequently pray for people carry anointing oil with them when they go to church or some other meeting where the opportunity to pray for someone could present itself. We should all cultivate the habit of being available to pray for those who ask for it, and carrying some anointing oil with us is our way of being prepared.

PROPHECY OF ELAM – (Attack on Iran’s Nuclear Program
EZEKIEL 38 & 39

Iran Threatens “We Are the Absolute Power in the Region”
The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said this week that Iran has “absolute power” in the region. Major General Hossein Salami’s remarks of “absolute power” seem to suggest that the Iranians have either build a nuclear bomb, or else simply want the world to believe they have the bomb.
Salami, in a quote to Reuters, said that Iran has “sapped the capacity of the United States to wage war against it,” which also sounds a lot like a nuclear threat. The Iranian threat came in response to the buildup of US military forces in the Middle East, but also after US President Donald Trump said he was not seeking regime change in Iran and that a new deal on Iran’s nuclear program was possible.
In response, Salami said, “We have been able to empty the enemy’s (US) capacity for war. You see the decline and crash of the enemies’ speech.”
“Today, Iran is an absolute power of the region and because of this it is not afraid of the enemy’s threats,” the Iranian commander went on to say as tensions continue to build between the US and Iran.
Trump announced last Friday that the US will send an additional 1,500 troops to the Middle East. “We aren’t looking for regime change. I just want to make that clear. We are looking for no nuclear weapons,” the US president said.
Earlier this month, the US deployed an aircraft carrier and B-52 bombers to within range of Iran after US officials said there were “clear indications” of threats from the Iranian regime on American forces in the region. Trump warned that Iran would “suffer greatly” if it targeted US interests. “We’ll see what happens with Iran. If they do anything, it will be a very bad mistake. If they do anything they will suffer greatly,” he told reporters at the White House.
So far Israel has not entered the fray. Netanyahu, who usually likes to encourage Trump’s strong-hand tactics with the Iranians, and to callout the Shiite regime’s aggression in the region, has remained silent. In the midst of a battle to set up a new government coming down to the wire, it seems the Israeli prime minister is happy to sit this one out and let the US president fight this battle alone.

Israeli missile hits Quneitra, Syria reports casualties
Syria said Israel carried out a missile attack that caused casualties on Monday, in what Israel’s army said was a retaliatory strike.
“An Israeli missile targeted Tel al-Shaar in Quneitra,” the Syrian news agency said, adding a “military vehicle was targeted and there are wounded”.
The Israeli military confirmed it carried out an air strike in Syria in retaliation for what it said was anti-aircraft fire targeting one of its fighter jets.
The Syrian province of Quneitra includes the Golan Heights, most of which is occupied and annexed by Israel.
“Earlier today, Syrian anti-aircraft systems fired at an IDF fighter jet during a routine flight in northern Israel,” the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement.
It said the projectile missed and the plane completed its journey before “the IDF targeted the launcher that had fired” at the jet.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based war monitor, said the Israeli missile was “reportedly fired from the occupied part of the Golan”.
Its director, Rami Abdel Rahman, told AFP that three Syrian soldiers were wounded.
Israel has carried out hundreds of air strikes in Syria, most of them against what it says are Iranian and Hezbollah targets.
Hezbollah is a Lebanese Shiite group that supports Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad, who is also backed by Tehran.
The Israeli strike comes amid soaring tensions in the region between Israel’s arch-foe Iran and the United States.
The stand-off has been simmering since the United States last year withdrew from the 2015 nuclear treaty which Iran reached with major world powers.
In recent days the US accused Iran of alleged threats and last week deployed an aircraft carrier group and B-52 bombers to the Gulf.

Bolton says Iran behind oil tanker attack off UAE…’almost certainly’
Tehran was ‘most likely’ responsible for sabotaging oil tankers off the coast of the United Arab Emirates two weeks ago, National Security Advisor John Bolton has alleged. He did not provide evidence to support the accusation.
Bolton claimed on Wednesday that Iran was “almost certainly” behind an attack that targeted four oil tankers off the coast of Fujairah.
Speaking to journalists at a press briefing in the Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi, Bolton also alleged that Iran was behind a failed attack on the Saudi oil-port of Yanbu. Iran used “naval mines” to carry out the attack on the oil tankers, Bolton said, without going into details.
The accusations come just days after the Pentagon blamed Iran’s Revolutionary Guards for the attack.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has requested more information about exactly what happened off the UAE coast, and cautioned that the incident could be a “conspiracy by ill-wishers.” Tehran has denied any involvement in the alleged sabotage, but says it’s not intimidated by Washington’s incendiary rhetoric and military posturing.
Little is known about the alleged attack on four oil tankers. No details were provided on casualties, and the local government denied reports of an explosion at an oil terminal in a local port.
The Emirates’ Foreign Ministry described it as “sabotage” without giving any further information about its nature or the damage to vessels sailing under the Emirati, Saudi, and Norwegian flags. It has remained tight-lipped since then.
Tensions between the US and Iran are on the rise after Tehran announced that it would defy American sanctions by selling its oil on the “grey market.” In response, the US sent a strike group to the Persian Gulf, describing the deployment as a “message” to Iran.

Eliminating Free Speech The Smart Way
Authored by Jeff Thomas via,
Left-wing activists have recently been increasingly active in seeking to limit opposing political viewpoints, in order to create a more ubiquitous “groupthink.” One effort in accomplishing this has been to propose the creation of a “Human Rights Committee” in order to monitor the economic transactions of “white supremacist groups and anti-Islam activists.
”This should not be surprising, as, throughout the former Free World, collectivists are, increasingly, coming out of the closet and seeking to eliminate any and all opposition to their cause.
And this should not, in itself, be alarming, as it should be both predictable and understandable that any politically driven group, be it left-leaning or right-leaning, would seek to gain an advantage over its opposite number.
What may be a real cause for alarm, however, is that those whom they are trying to rope into their effort are banks and corporations… and that they’re succeeding without a shot being fired.
It might be hoped that those champions of industry and commerce would at least put up a perfunctory fight, but clearly, this is not the case. They’re not only caving in; they’re entirely on board.
As an example, MasterCard is considering the selective restriction of individuals from their services and funds. Those individuals would be the ones that held unacceptable political views.
But they’re not the first in the queue to economically force people to have “correct” views. PayPal and Patreon have barred selected individuals from receiving payments through their services when those individuals have been identified as holding “extreme views.” More alarmingly, they’ve been supported in this decision by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Journalist Ben Swann has commented that this means that the US government has granted “big corporations the ability to control what voices are heard.”
The reader will already be familiar with the fact that major corporations that are led by liberally aligned executives, such as Facebook, Twitter and Amazon, have already proudly stated that they wish to do their part to freeze out those whose opinions they disagree with.
Of course, in a free world, the head of a privately held corporation should be free to do business with only those individuals he approves of. Although that might make him discriminating, he should have the right to be discriminating.
The concern here, though, is that there’s nothing on the horizon that’s aimed at limiting collectivist notions. All the restrictions are being applied to those who are conservative, libertarian, or in fact, anything but collectivist.
There’s clearly an all-encompassing effort to not only silence non-collectivists in the media (including social media), but to silence them through the loss of economic freedom.
And the campaign is unfolding dramatically, on many fronts, at the same time. It would not be rash to suggest that, by 2020, it may not be safe for an individual to express any non-collectivist position by that time, for fear of being cut out of the economic structure.
Back in the early part of the twentieth century, the Bolsheviks did a wonderful job of eliminating the existence of views that opposed collectivism, through the use of concentration camps and execution. Later in the century, the Nazi (abbreviation for Nationalsozialistische, or National Socialist Party) also did a bang-up job of disappearing dissent against their rhetoric.
But Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and Goebbels would all have their hats off to the new American version of collectivist propaganda, which is not only attacking freedom of speech in the media, but using economic warfare to ensure that, in the future, the only propaganda will be collectivist propaganda.
This is a tactic these past collectivist leaders would have envied, as the results of economic pressure can be so immediate and permanent.
And clearly, large banks, corporations and the US government are fully on board.
This latter fact informs us that the move to a collectivist society in the US is not merely the work of some extremist groups; it is, indeed, the intended “New America.”
One hundred years ago, the US began a decline into corporatism, with the introduction of the Federal Reserve as the overlord of US banking. Since that time, there has been a steady decline in freedoms in the US, interrupted only by the capitalist boom years that were brought on by World War II.
And we now see the culmination of that long-sought-after objective. The American public are not only being phased into the fuller conversion to a collectivist society; they’re being forced into it through economic punishment, should they take any other view.
There can be no question that virtually all of the restrictions of free speech are intended to limit any thought other than collectivist thought.
But the more important take-away here is that this is not a mere ploy by a political group. It has the support of the financial industry, corporate America and the government (through the US Securities and Exchange Commission).
This tells us that the Deep State – that collective body that actually rules the US above the political structure – is on board for a conversion of the US into a fully collectivist state.
This objective should not be surprising, as rulers always wish, first and foremost, to rule. And as such, they will always seek to obtain total control, if possible. Collectivism is the key to that goal. The greater the degree of collectivism, the greater the level of totalitarianism.
In limiting free speech through economics, they’re now going about it the smart way. But this in itself should not be too surprising. What may be surprising is that the changes necessary to bring that about are happening so quickly.
For the US, this is much like Russia, circa 1917, or Germany, circa 1937. The question is no longer whether the government intends to institute totalitarianism. The question is how much time remains before the transition is complete.
This question should give us pause. Its answer would define the remaining shelf-life of the US, as a country that’s desirable as a place to reside.

US national security adviser: Iran seeking nuclear arms
US President Donald Trump’s national security adviser said Wednesday there was “no reason” for Iran to back out of its nuclear deal with world powers other than to seek atomic weapons, a year after the US president unilaterally withdrew America from the accord.
Speaking in Abu Dhabi, the Emirati capital, John Bolton said that without more nuclear power plants, it made no sense for Iran to stockpile more low-enriched uranium as it now plans to do. But the US also earlier cut off Iran’s ability to sell its uranium to Russia in exchange for unprocessed yellow-cake uranium.
“There’s no reason for them to do any of that unless that’s part of an effort to reduce the breakout time to produce nuclear weapons,” Bolton said. “That’s a very serious issue if they continue to do that.”
Iran previously announced it was backing away from the 2015 nuclear deal, which saw it limit its enrichment of uranium in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions. Trump withdrew the US from the accord saying it didn’t go far enough in limiting the Iranian nuclear program, nor did it address Iran’s ballistic missile program.
Iran has set a July 7 deadline for Europe to offer better terms to the unraveling nuclear deal, saying that otherwise it will resume enrichment closer to weapons level.
Bolton declined to say what the US would do in response to that.
Iran long has insisted its nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes. However, Western powers pushed for the nuclear deal to limit Iran’s ability to seek atomic weapons.
“This is just more graphic evidence that it hasn’t constrained their continuing desire to have nuclear weapons,” Bolton said. “It certainly hasn’t reduced their terrorist activities in the region that we just discussed or their other malign behavior in their use of conventional forces.”
Bolton, long a hawk on Iran, also claimed — without offering evidence — that the alleged sabotage of four oil tankers off the coast of the United Arab Emirates came from naval mines placed “almost certainly by Iran.”
He told journalists that there had been a previously unknown attempt to attack the Saudi oil port of Yanbu as well.
However, Bolton stressed that the US has not seen any further Iranian attacks in the time since, something he attributed to military deployments — America recently sent an aircraft carrier and B-52 bombers to the Persian Gulf.
He warned the US would strike back if attacked.
“The point is to make it very clear to Iran and its surrogates that these kinds of action risk a very strong response from the United States,” Bolton threatened, without elaborating.
Saudi officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment about Bolton’s claim on Yanbu, which is the terminus, or end point, of the kingdom’s East-West Pipeline. That pipeline was attacked in recent days in a coordinated drone assault launched by Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.

Tornadoes tear across the Great Plains, Midwest and warnings issued as far as NYC
  • The United States is on the verge of entering ‘uncharted territory’, experts say as the country stands on the verge of breaking an unfavorable record of tornado activity this week with more storm warnings issued
  • The deadly spate of weather has already killed one and injured hundreds more in the Midwest, but the slurry of volatile weather shows no signs of letting up anytime soon
  • Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia have already been ravaged by the barrage of gusting winds and powerful storms, but now New Jersey and New York City have been told to brace for impact
  • The National Weather Service received more than a dozen reports of tornadoes on Tuesday evening, officials said, suggesting that the record for consecutive days could be broken
The United States is on the verge of entering ‘uncharted territory’, experts say, as the country stands on the verge of breaking an unfavorable record of tornado activity this week, as more warnings are issued from the Great Plains to the East Coast.
The deadly spate of weather has already killed one and injured hundreds more, but the slurry of volatile weather shows no signs of letting up anytime soon.
On Monday, the US tied its current record of 11 consecutive days with at least eight tornadoes on each of those days, said Patrick Marsh, warning coordination meteorologist for the federal Storm Prediction Center.
Counties across Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia have already been ravaged by the barrage of gusting winds and powerful storms, but now residents as far as New Jersey and New York City have been told to brace themselves for impact.
‘We are flirting in uncharted territory,’ Dr. James Marsh of the federal Storm Prediction Center said of the prospect of the storm streak entering an unprecedented twelfth day.
‘Typically, you’d see a break of a day or two in between these long stretches, but we’re just not getting that right now.’
The National Weather Service received more than a dozen reports of tornadoes on Tuesday evening, officials said, suggesting that the record for consecutive days could be broken.
The reports follow 53 tornadoes touching down on Monday across eight states as waves of severe weather swept across the nation’s mid-section.
So far, one person has been killed and more than 130 others injured.
A tally of storm reports posted online by NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, shows that 14 suspected tornadoes touched down in Indiana, 10 in Colorado and nine in Ohio.
Six suspected tornadoes were reported in Iowa, five in Nebraska, four in Illinois, three in Minnesota, while one suspected tornado was reported in Idaho in the West.
Every county in Oklahoma remains under a state of emergency.
Late Tuesday evening, the National Weather service issued tornado warnings for several counties surrounding Manhattan, urging those in the ‘dangerous storm’s’ path to stay inside.
The service said that strong winds and possible flash floods may result from the storm, along with a chance of a hail ‘the size of quarters’ falling from the sky.
More than one million residents across State Island and the greater metro area now remain under tornado watch. The projected affected area includes 250 schools and 14 hospitals.
‘Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely,’ NWS said in a statement.
‘This Tornado Warning replaces the Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for the same area,’ the service added.
All flights out of the city’s LaGuardia airport were also grounded as a result of the incoming storms.
Though the airport is situated in Queens – which wasn’t included in the warning – all flights were halted as a precaution.
The airport is now up and running with a reduced services, were flights are expected to be delayed by as much as four hours, officials have said.
Also included in the East Coast’s tornado warnings were parts of northeastern New Jersey, including Hudson County, Union County and southern Essex County.
Officials have since responded to a number of widespread power outages, downed trees and at least one sighting of a tornado.
The NWS announced that one of its spotters reported seeing a funnel cloud at the base of a rotating thunderstorm in Mendham.
In Sussex County, emergency crews were summoned to Lenape Valley Regional High School to reports of ‘possible tornado damage’ ransacking the building’s structure.
At the time between 50 and 100 people were inside the school attending a track team dinner in the cafeteria when the storm struck.
Two people were injured in the ordeal after a tree reportedly fell onto a vehicle. The pair only suffered minor injuries and nobody was taken to hospital, a representative of the local sheriff’s office said.
Others attending the event took shelter in the gymnasium until emergency crews told them it was safe to leave.
The campus had ‘significant wires down and trees uprooted’ with lesser damage to the front of the building, school Superintendent Paul DiRupo told NJLive.
The school will remain closed on Wednesday as investigators will inspect the full extent of the damage.

Ebola health worker killed by villagers during attack of treatment center in eastern DR Congo
Villagers in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo killed a health worker engaged in the fight against a major Ebola outbreak and looted a treatment centre. “Part of the population of Vusahiro village, in the health sector of Mabalako (North Kivu province), rose up and attacked the local team fighting back against Ebola,” said the daily health ministry bulletin dated Sunday. It said the incident happened on Saturday.
A hygiene agent in the team for the prevention and control of infections died of his injuries during his transfer to the hospital,” health authorities said in the bulletin.
The health centre in Vusahiro was trashed and looted and three village houses were burned down,” the bulletin added.
In a separate incident, the triage centre at Valumba in the Butembo health sector, was vandalised overnight Saturday to Sunday, the report said.
The Ebola outbreak declared in eastern DR Congo last August has killed more than 1,200 people in two provinces – Ituri and North Kivu – and new cases have surged in recent weeks.
Efforts to tackle the crisis have been hampered both by militia attacks on treatment centres, in which some staff have been killed, and by the hostility of some local people to the medical teams.
Since the outbreak began, attacks on health centres have killed four people and wounded dozens more, including patients, according to a tally released by the health ministry last Friday.
North Kivu has suffered from massacres blamed mainly on the Ugandan Islamist rebels of Alliance of Democratic Forces, according to Godefroid Ka Mana, an academic expert with the Pole Institute think tank in provincial capital Goma.
In April, a Cameroonian doctor working for the World Health Organization was murdered while taking part in a meeting at a university teaching hospital.
Working with the international medics are local health teams formed after DR Congo’s 10th outbreak of the highly contagious and often fatal viral disease. They are made up of villagers trained in measures to battle Ebola.
But some locals are hostile to the prevention protocols enforced by international teams, such as the special measures imposed for the burial of Ebola victims. These measures, designed to prevent loved ones being infected, rule out the traditional wakes and funerals.
The WHO has accused local politicians of turning people against the health workers.
In the meantime, the deaths continue. Since the outbreak started, “the cumulative number of cases is 1,912, 1,818 confirmed and 94 probable,” the health ministry said Friday.

Beyond privacy, there is also widespread concern over the economic impact of a fully cashless system. For one thing, as citizens slowly become exclusively dependent on big banks and card companies the systemic risk to the wider economy spikes. But it goes further than that too.
Without the option to keep some cash outside the banking system and retain some degree of financial flexibility, banks have the potential to essentially keep their clients hostage. Bail-in scenarios and deposit “haircuts”, allowing distressed banks to directly take funds from their clients’ accounts, a scenario we saw in Cyprus in 2013, are instantly simplified. Good old-fashioned bank runs are all but eliminated as leverage, while policies like NIRP and ZIRP face significantly lower obstacles, as without the option to take cash out of the system, the banks can easily pass down the associated costs to the clients.
Capital controls also become much easier to comprehensively enforce, while their impact is multiplied. These measures were already proven catastrophic in Greece, where citizens had to live for over 3 years with an ATM withdrawal limit of EUR60 a day and draconian restrictions on payments abroad.
Businesses were put under immense pressure, unable to pay their international suppliers without special permission, while elderly citizens formed endless lines in front of ATMs to receive their pensions in the allowed increments and many struggled to pay for their daily needs.
And yet, disastrous as the policy was for the public, their predicament would have been infinitely more severe if Greece did not have a solid cash-loving tradition. The small Mediterranean nation holds the second place (tied with Cyprus) among EU members with the highest share of cash transactions, while due to the country’s history, citizens are inclined to keep significant amounts or parts of their savings stored at home, something that helped soften the impact of the capital control measures.
Furthermore, there is another important risk as the war on cash escalates, affecting significant parts of the population, namely the threat of financial exclusion. In most Nordic countries, among the first and most eager to adopt the move from cash to electronic money, pensioners have seriously struggled with the shift, as they do not use the internet or have access to online banking. In Norway, the conversion to cashless bank branches has left many towns without a single bank, the Swedish National Pensioners Organization has stressed that 1 million people in the country are not ready for cashless transactions, while Denmark’s DaneAge Association, representing more than 750,000 senior citizens, has strongly criticized the limits on cash-based payments. Apart from the elderly, those at the lower end of the socio-economic pyramid are also victimized by these policies. The war on cash effectively ensures that those without access to baking services, those living in poverty and the homeless population is banned from participating in the economy and by extension socially marginalized even more.

Another Catholic Church Vandalized, Ignored By Mainstream Media
The St. Francois Xavier Roman Catholic Church just outside Winnipeg was vandalized over the weekend — with very little media coverage, despite the fact that the vandals remain on the loose.
“Suspects gained entry to church, smashed statues & used fire extinguisher inside the church. A vehicle was seen in the church parking lot at 1:00am,” the RCMP reports.
May 26: Roman Catholic Church in the RM of St-Francois-Xavier vandalized. Suspects gained entry to church, smashed statues & used fire extinguisher inside the church. A vehicle was seen in the church parking lot at 1:00am. Anyone with info should call #rcmpmb at (204)888-0358

It was the second act of vandalism at a church in the Winnipeg area in less than a week.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything to contact the local detachment (204) 888-0358, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or submit a secure tip online.
Last week, “the head of a statue at the Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral on McGregor Street was removed,” Global News reports. “The missing piece was later found in a duffel bag and returned to the church.”
A Catholic Church in Pennsylvania was also vandalized with pro-abortion graffiti last weekend.
The vandals had painted, “You do not have the right to decide how others live,” on the front door of the church and “#ProChoice” on the side of the building.
It’s hard to imagine that these crimes would be so overlooked if any other faith had been the target.

(CNBC) – The stock market and economic outlook in the United States is “deteriorating,” according to an analysis from one of Wall Street’s top investment banks. Renewed trade tensions and a slump in economic data — ranging from falling durable goods and capital spending to a downshift in the services sector — has put U.S. profits and economic growth at risk, Morgan Stanley warned Tuesday. “Recent data points
suggest US earnings and economic risk is greater than most investors may think,” wrote Chief U.S. Equity Strategist Michael Wilson. Specifically, the stock strategist highlighted a recent survey from financial data firm IHS Markit that showed manufacturing activity fell to a 9-year low in May. That report also revealed a “notable slowdown” in the U.S. services sector, a key area for an American economy characterized by huge job gains in health care and business services. READ MORE:

(TWC) – More rain is expected to fall Tuesday on the Arkansas River, which has already reached levels not seen for decades in Oklahoma and Arkansas. “The levee system is still operating as designed,” Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum said Monday, but he added that could quickly change. “We are asking for everyone to prepare for the worst-case scenario … the worst flood in our history.” Widespread flooding has already occurred along the Arkansas River in parts of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Several times in the past few days, officials have increased the amount of water flowing from the Keystone Dam into the river.
Engineers are trying to prevent the even more catastrophic flooding that could come if the lake overflows its floodgates, the Tulsa World reports. More rain will make that more difficult. “This is the culmination of a flood that is now in its fourth week,” David Williams, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District chief of hydrology and hydraulics engineering, told the newspaper. “I know that it seems like only a weeklong event or so, but we’ve had excessive rainfall in the basin for a month now.” The Arkansas River has already flooded hundreds of homes in a neighborhood in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, just west of Tulsa. More are expected to be flooded as more water is released from the dam, the Tulsa World reported.

Drag Queen Story Hour is happening in Delaware County, Ohio, an affluent suburb north of Columbus. And taxpayers are putting up quite a fuss. A June 5 session called “Drag 101” is advertised on the teen page of the Delaware County Library website, and here’s how the announcement reads: “Drag 101—Teen Program. Curious about the art of drag and no idea where to start? Come learn the basics with former Miss Gay Ohio America, Selena T. West! All genders welcome; drag is for everyone! Teens only, please.”

Bill Wilson –
In interpreting the Bible, twisting the facts is called eisegesis-using a scripture out of context to support one’s own ideas. It’s a big No-No, but it’s done by people all the time, especially by pastors from the pulpit. America suffers from a great deal of eisegesis by people twisting not only the facts, but the truth to support their own agenda.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 says,
“Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.”
While this is speaking of those leaving the faith and lying about doctrine, there are lies every day that we must discern or be lead astray.
In today’s society, with the internet, instant communications and a 24-hour news cycle, it is really easy to plant a lie and people will not only believe it, but swear by it and repeat it as truth. Those with agendas can manipulate millions with the push of a “send” button. We see it everyday with the news media. Those posing as journalists present the “facts” in what they say is an unbiased way, but in reality they are lying about what happened because they are speaking these “facts” from their own agenda-driven hearts. It’s difficult to know what to believe. One example is a new book by Michael Wolff, titled, “Siege-Trump Under Fire” where the author makes a very false claim that has fuelled calls for impeachment.
According to the Guardian, Wolff states in his book that Special Counsel Robert Mueller drafted an obstruction of justice indictment against President Trump on counts of witness tampering, witness retaliation, and corruptly influencing a pending proceeding. When Mueller’s spokesman Peter Carr was asked by the Guardian to confirm the veracity of Wolff’s claim, Carr categorically denied the claim and responded, “The documents that you’ve described do not exist.” Yet, you can bet that the news channels are full of reports about this claim, and it will most likely further fuel calls for impeachment from the neo-communist coup-makers. People will believe it and repeat it. Wolff has been under fire for inaccuracies in his previous best seller “Fire and Fury”, which also made outrageous factual errors.
Wolff, in response to questions about “Fire and Fury,” essentially admitted he lied about his insider account of the White House. Wolff told Vassar Political Review: “I am an observer: I investigate nothing. All I do is look and write what I see and what I hear, and my job—which has nothing to do with truth—is to take what I see and what I hear and write that in a way that readers can come [as close] as possible—as close as I came—to the experience of doing this. I want to be able to turn what I see into something that a reader says ‘oh, I see that too…I’m not a political journalist. I’m not, frankly, all that much interested in politics. I’m a writer. I’m barely a journalist, actually. I am a writer.” So goes the twisting of the facts so lies appear as truth.
