This Happened On Planet Earth…Sept. 2019…End Times Signs

Matthew 24:3-14 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Watchman Report: Look What You’ve Become

Published on Sep 5, 2019

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6)
1Cor. 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: AND THAT NO MAN CAN SAY THAT JESUS IS THE LORD, BUT BY THE HOLY GHOST.
Rev. 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth:
Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them
so won’t you accept Jesus now and be removed from that event and live forever with Jesus in the Family of God?
2 “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2nd Corinthians 2:6)

QUESTION:    I asked my sister if she still believes that Jesus is her saviour, that he died for her sins on the cross etc… and she says “no”, thus denying Jesus as her Savior now … she accepted Jesus when she was a little girl, but now she changed her mind … she believes in reincarnation to get closer to God very strongly – she doesn’t believe that Jesus is the only way to God any more.
What must I make of that? Can she “lose” her salvation because she changed her mind on who’s her Savior… or will she still be saved?
Can you accept Jesus as your Savior and then deny Him afterwards and still have your name written in the Book of Life?
If she repents and re-direct her views and beliefs towards Jesus, well YES, but what if she dies tomorrow without changing back to Jesus as her Savior?
ANSWER:    Here’s the bottom line. Ephesians 1:13-14 says
“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession–to the praise of his glory.
Note the word “guaranteeing”.
John 6:39 says “And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.” Note the word “none”.
John 10:27-30 says
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
Note the wordsno one.”
Romans 8: 38-39 says,
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Note the words “nor anything in all creation.”
Peter’s denial validates it for us. He denied the Lord 3 times and yet was re-instated.
Either your sister was never saved or she is forever saved. Before the foundation of the Earth was laid, the Lord wrote the names of His own in the Book of Life. He didn’t put anyone in there who doesn’t belong and He didn’t fail to include anyone who does. There’s no indication anywhere that He blots people out. If your sister was saved and is now going through a phase of denial, then the Lord cannot let her die until she returns to Him. He promised He wouldn’t lose any of us and His word is at stake.

QUESTION:    If one has professed of being born again but in time has gone back to the ways of the world (one’s sinful deeds), continues on in such behavior even when one knows that it is wrong, never asks forgiveness and then passes away before repenting. Where would one go? Will the person be accepted in the Kingdom of GOD, but have a minor role in GOD’s Kingdom? Or will the person be identified as one who never really accepted CHRIST as ones’ Personal SAVIOR and thus be delegated one’s portion with the wicked? I hope I made sense in my question and hope by GOD’s favour you will be able to enlighten me.
ANSWER:    I’ve answered questions like this many times but the answer bears repeating every now and then. Ephesians 1:13-14 is the clearest of many verses that address your question. It goes like this.
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession–to the praise of his glory.
Paul expanded on this promise in 2 cor. 1:21-22 to show how God Himself has taken responsibility for keeping us saved.
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Together these verses show that at the first moment of belief, we were saved. Before we had done anything good to deserve it or anything bad to lose it, the Holy Spirit was sealed within us as a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. Being sincere in our belief, we have met the single requirement for salvation (John 6:28-29) and God has marked us as His own, off limits to anyone else.
Therefore, sinning and failing to confess won’t cost us our salvation, because it has been guaranteed. But it will cause us to live a defeated spiritual life here on Earth. And while we’ll still be a child of God’s we won’t have enjoyed any kind of relationship with Him. We’ll miss out on tons of blessings here on Earth and some crowns when we get to heaven. But even if we receive no rewards at all, we won’t be relegated to some kind of 2nd or 3rd class salvation. We all get the same, because our salvation isn’t based on our behaviour, it’s based on our belief (1 Cor 3:10-15).
And while it’s true that behaviour such as you described may be a sign that a person was never saved in the first place, that isn’t ours to judge because we can’t know the motives of another person’s heart. That’s between the person and the Lord (1 Cor. 4:5).
WEBPAGE ADMINISTRATROR:  I currently have 2 son’s that are in the safe “State Of Mind” i.e. they were saved, but have fallen away, and My Daughter is also lost in this Satanic world; it “grieves” me “Continually”, but I will just keep praying for them, and everyone else out there in our World that is confused because of the “Massive Satanic Influence” that is currently spreading Worldwide.

Muslim Countries in the Middle East will launch an attack on Israel
PROPHECY OF ELAM – (Possible Attack on Iran’s Nuclear Program

A day after Israel and Hezbollah were on the verge of an all-out war, a senior Israeli official revealed Monday that Israeli forces had been engaged in an intense multi-front effort against rogue elements.
“Over the past several days we have been engaged in a number of theaters.
There was the [thwarted] attempt to launch a terrorist attack from Syria and there was the latest escalation in Lebanon,” the official said. “In the span of 24 hours, we had to act in several locations.
We acted with maximal precision, exactly the way we planned. Had we not done so, now we might have been fighting a war that we didn’t need. This has proved itself,” he added.
The official did not elaborate where Israel acted besides Syria and Lebanon. Foreign media speculated over the past week that Israel may have been behind repeated airstrikes against Shiite militias in Iraq as part of its effort to prevent Iran’s ongoing attempts to spread its proxies and arms across the Middle East.
“There are many covert operations, by the Mossad and the Israel Defense Forces, as well as diplomatic activity that is under wraps,” the official said. “We are not improvising, this is part of a wider strategy.”
Regarding the deception that Israeli troops carried out during the latest flare-up with Hezbollah, which involving mock evacuations of wounded soldiers, the official said that troops had been instructed to act wisely and use such tactics.

An IDF medical vehicle carrying five soldiers nearly sustained a direct hit from Hezbollah anti-tank fire during Sunday’s attack along the northern border, as it drove along an unprotected road in an apparent breach of army directives — with luck, rather than effective military planning, preventing the death or injury of the soldiers inside, Hebrew media reports said late Monday.
The reports appeared to contradict Israeli military sources’ claims on Sunday that an IDF vehicle that Hezbollah targeted was parked or empty at the time. The reports appeared to tally with footage released by Hezbollah-affiliated TV earlier Monday and with Israeli security camera footage that was published shortly thereafter. That footage showed two anti-tank missiles apparently narrowly missing an IDF vehicle on the road between Moshav Avivim and Kibbutz Yir’on near the northern border.
The footage from Al-Manar TV shows a Hezbollah fighter launching a Kornet guided missile at what appears to be a moving Israeli armored personnel carrier patrolling along the border fence. An additional launch at the APC is seen from further away. While the Hezbollah-affiliated network stated that the two strikes destroyed the APC, the footage does not show that the military vehicle sustained a direct hit; it shows billows of smoke surrounding it as the missiles land.
The APC itself was not in fact hit by either projectile, according to findings from an IDF analysis published earlier Monday. Rather, a piece of shrapnel from the explosion of one of the projectiles hit a tire, forcing the vehicle to stop on the side of the road, the military said.
Amos Harel, a senior military correspondent for the Haaretz newspaper, wrote late Monday that the Israeli armored vehicle, of the “Ze’ev” (or Wolf) model, was traveling on a road around 5.5 kilometers (3.4 miles) from the border when it was targeted — not on the front lines, but still within the range of Kornet guided missiles.
The road was one military personnel had been instructed to avoid as part of a restriction on military vehicular travel close to the border that was put in place earlier in the week in expectation of a coming attack.
For some reason not yet clear, the Ze’ev, a medical support vehicle under the command of an army doctor, failed to heed those instructions. The Walla news site said the military was investigating the troops’ actions.
Military officials had indicated following Hezbollah’s attack that one anti-tank guided missile hit an army base and one or two were fired at an armored military vehicle, but that the vehicle was empty and/or parked when it was targeted.

Turkey has stuck to a 2017 loan agreement with Russia to purchase its S-400 air defence systems despite pressure from the US, which decided to suspend Ankara’s participation in the international F-35 programme and threatened to remove it from the project by late March 2020. Russia completed the first part of the supply of S-400 components this July.
Israeli satellite intelligence company ImageSat International has released satellite images of an alleged S-400 air defence system that recently arrived in Turkey from Russia. The firm claimed it is in operational mode and has been deployed in Ankara.
#Breaking: for the #first time observed, the recently arrived from #Russia to #Turkey#S400 is in operational mode and deployed in #Ankara.#ISI #IMINT #VISINT
— ImageSat Intl. (@ImageSatIntl) September 3, 2019
The images, posted on the company’s Twitter account, show what the company describes as the deployed S-400 launch components and radars. However, as ImageSat International claims, the launchers are not loaded. It suggests that the components arrived in the second shipment from Russia, following the first delivery in July 2019.
The second stage of deliveries of the S-400 air defence systems has begun, the Turkish Defence Ministry stated on 27 August, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan noting that it would continue until the end of September. Russia completed the first part of the supply of S-400 components to Turkey at the end of July 2019, according to a loan agreement, signed by Moscow and Ankara in September 2017.
The deliveries took a total of 30 special flights and faced pressure from the US.
Despite the US pressure, Turkey has refused to rip up its contract with Russia, saying that it was a done deal, vital for its national defence and stressed that the S-400s were not related to the security of NATO, the US, or the F-35 in any way.

Even though only a small percentage Hong Kong’s citizens profess to be Christian, numerous online videos have captured crowds singing “Sing Hallelujah to the Lord” on the streets in recent months among protests against a bill that some fear would extradite residents to Communist China. The protests — and singing — have continued as the calls have broadened into a wider demand for democracy in the region.
Concerns have also been raised over how the move might affect Christians. Believers currently have freedom under the Hong Kong Bill of Rights, but if China encroaches upon the territory, those liberties could be eroded. Christians in China are increasingly persecuted and oppressed, and do not have religious freedom.
“We fear that Christians in Hong Kong will suffer the same fate as Christians in mainland China,” one pastor stated, according to First Things, “with our churches being burnt down, our leaders having to be approved, and our Bible being changed to suit Communist propaganda.”
According to reports, “Sing Hallelujah to the Lord” first emerged as the common anthem in June after a group of Christian students began singing praise songs at the main protest site, and the simple worship refrain began to catch on. Reuters outlines that the students sang the songs to protect the protesters, as “religious gatherings can be held without a permit in the financial hub.”
Christians have backed the mass protests, which oppose the proposed “Fugitive Offenders and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters” bill. Large crowds have taken to the streets out of concern that those deemed criminals could be sent to Mainland China for trial.
On June 16, an estimated two million people filled the streets to urge the government to formally withdraw the legislation, although  Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced the day prior that she would “suspend” the proposal — apparently as a means to quiet the uproar.
On Aug. 23, a number of Christians took to the streets to stand against the Hong Kong government and Communism. Wearing shirts that read “God bless Hong Kong,” they again sang the popular anthem “Sing Hallelujah to the Lord” and held hands in a chain that was stated to stretch for miles after those who are not Christian joined in the effort.
“Christian churches run a large number of educational institutions, ranging from nurseries to post-secondary institutions. Moreover, they provide 13 hospitals, a large number of clinics, family centers and old-age homes throughout Hong Kong,” the site InterNations outlines.

After lots of growling from Beijing about how the communist regime wouldn’t ‘sit on its hands’ over the massive protests disrupting Hong Kong, and new threats to ‘show no mercy’ to the protesters, the Chicoms have folded.
Hong Kong’s Beijing-appointed puppet leader, Carrie Lam, has withdrawn the extradition bill that triggered the protests, the one that permitted Beijing to freely snatch back anyone who displeases Red China to face what passes for ‘justice’ in the communist dictatorship.
According to the New York Times:
HONG KONG — Carrie Lam, Hong Kong’s chief executive, said Wednesday that the government would withdraw a contentious extradition bill that ignited months of protests in the city, moving to quell the worst political crisis since the former British colony returned to Chinese control 22 years ago.
The move eliminates a major objection among protesters, but it was unclear if it would be enough to bring an end to intensifying demonstrations, which are now driven by multiple grievances with the government.
“Incidents over these past two months have shocked and saddened Hong Kong people,” she said in an eight-minute televised statement broadcast shortly before 6 p.m. “We are all very anxious about Hong Kong, our home. We all hope to find a way out of the current impasse and unsettling times.”
Her decision comes as the protests near their three-month mark and show little sign of abating, roiling a city known for its orderliness and hurting its economy.
It is a striking concession from Beijing. But like most everyone analyzing this, it’s probably too little, too late.
The protests that have engulfed Hong Kong have morphed into cries for full democracy, something that has to be Beijing’s worst nightmare. http://As Austin Bay, citing the reporting of Michael Yon on the ground in Hong Kong has noted – the protests have moved well into the realm of civil unrest.  Anedotally, the whole world has seen how they have featured American flags, the singing of the Star Spangled Banner, and signs calling for a Second Amendment. Young Hong Kong leaders have turned up in Taiwan with talks about taking in refugees now. Even leftists in the states have started scolding each other for not taking a more assertive stance on standing up for the Hong Kongers.
There’s a feeling a rubicon has been crossed, a bridge has been burned.
The other thing worth noting in this is that Beijing’s nightmare is far from over. The protests have not only engulfed Hong Kong, they are actually no longer about Hong Kong. Chinese citizens have been caught sneaking over the border into Hong Kong for no other reason than to join the protests. The impact of the protests has already spread—far into the Chinese interior and into Taiwan.
Gordon Chang, that most astute of Hong Kong observers, notes this:
Lam’s formal withdrawal of the extradition bill will not placate #HongKong, but it could embolden people in #China to act on their own grievances. #XiJinping should now expect things to go badly for him everywhere.
— Gordon G. Chang (@GordonGChang) September 4, 2019
A genie seems to be out of the bottle. And Beijing is going to have a hard time putting it back in.

Globalism and the Hoodwinking of the American Elite
Every society has always been controlled by a small portion of the population.  These leaders of society have been called by many names; today, they are often called the elite.  In modern free societies like the United States, there is more economic mobility so that some of the elite are individuals who were born in poverty, but there is still an elite even in societies that are founded on equality.  There is still a small portion of society who have much greater influence than everyone else.
Today, there is globalism.  This is the “new world order.”  The elite of today believe that it is in their best interest and everybody’s best interest if they can end nationalism and come together as one big global family.  This coming together has not been a global coming together of all people; it has been a coming together of only the elite in many different nations, and they have been joined by a shrinking portion of the common people who are still under their influence.
The elite of the U.S. and Europe have aligned themselves not only with each other, but also with the elite of China and the Middle East.  They have intertwined the world economy to such a degree that decoupling seems impossible.  They are promoting open borders.  Since they believe that humanity is becoming one big happy family, it makes sense that they have never noticed any potential problem with the move of manufacturing to China.  They facilitated this move.  The working people in the West have been devastated by the loss of manufacturing jobs, and they are increasingly turning against the elite.
With globalism, the elite no longer see the elite of other nations as their enemy, but instead they see the common people of their own society as their enemy.  The elite of many different nations are aligned against the working class of those same nations.  The elite see themselves as morally superior, as they believe they are bringing about world unity and peace, and they see the common people of their own society as selfish simpletons for opposing them.
The elite don’t seem to realize that globalism is almost exclusively a Western movement.  The Chinese and the Muslims are not actually singing “kumbaya,” but are only moving their lips.
China is like one big slave plantation, and the Chinese government has used its control over its own economy and the manipulation of the currency to take control of world industrial production.  This has made China the world’s greatest industrial and economic power, but it’s an economic power with an enslaved working class who are able to consume only a portion of the goods they produce.  The surplus Chinese production must be sold to the working class of America, who have been decimated by the loss of manufacturing jobs.  This has created an unsustainable world economy.
We have transformed China from a Marxist totalitarian regime to a fascist totalitarian regime, and a fascist regime that is solidly nationalist.  The U.S. should have stood up to China years ago.  It’s too late now.  China controls industrial production, and the U.S. borrows a trillion dollars a year just to maintain a “post-industrial” economy where most people live from paycheck to paycheck.  Yet our political and media elite still don’t see any problem with opening our markets to China, just as they still think the Muslim Brotherhood is a secular organization that supports freedom and equality.
Our elite’s alliance with the Chinese elite has been catastrophic, but it is their alliance with the elite of the Muslim world that defies common sense.
Our elite enthusiastically supported the Arab Spring, believing that it would bring about freedom and democracy in the Middle East as part of the global march to peace and unity.  They believed this because this is what their friends in the Muslim world told them.  The “Arab Spring” was actually an Islamist movement heavily influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood.  It was a movement to overthrow secular dictators.  There were some secular reformers trying to hijack the movement, but they never had a chance.
It is the Islamist elite of the Middle East who befriended our elite and convinced them to support the Arab Spring.  The Islamist elite have convinced our elite that they must silence all critics of Islam.  They have convinced them that this is way to stop terrorism, since criticism of Islam is used by the terrorists for recruitment.  Mean-spirited criticism of Islam or Muslims can obviously be used by Islamic terrorists for recruitment, but the jihadists do not repeat legitimate criticism of Islam.  They merely try to kill the person who says it.
Amazingly, the Islamists have also convinced our elite that we should shine a spotlight on all attacks on Muslims.  When an inebriated passenger stabs a Muslim cab driver, or when a school official calls the police because a Muslim student brought a bomb to school, our elite are convinced that the way to respond is to put it on the front page, make it the lead story, shout it from the rooftop.  Yet, clearly, events like these can be used by the terrorists for recruitment.  This doesn’t make sense until you realize that our elite will believe what they are told by their friends.  Their friends, the Islamist elite, want to magnify attacks against Muslims in order to encourage Islamic terrorism, but they want to silence critics of Islam since legitimate criticism of Islam can weaken the faith, including the faith of the terrorists.
Our elite are convinced that attacks on Muslims like the one in Christchurch should receive a great deal of attention because an act of violence against Muslims could never be used for recruitment by Islamic terrorists, unlike legitimate criticism of Mohammed, which the terrorist would never repeat.
Our elite are being played because they view themselves as global citizens.  They view the elite of other nations as their fellow citizens, and they view their fellow Americans as their enemy.

These are times of brutality, vulgarity, rage, and recklessness. We live in an age of pestilence, earthquakes, extreme weather, and signs in the heavens. This is the era of humanism, dark arts, floods of pharmaceuticals, and spiralling levels of mental illness. We are entering a season of uncertainty, fearfulness, and escapism. The spring of pride is fast becoming the winter of despair.
Everything on the list above is a sign that we are approaching the last of the last days. And it’s a list that could go on for pages and pages. For those of us who love our fellow human beings and our country, seeing these biblical signs play out is not pleasant. But we must remember where we’re going. This road travels through tough terrain, but it’s headed for glory.
I don’t know how long the world can go on in this condition. But I do know that things could fall apart in short order. The moral foundation of the world’s leading nation has, in only a few decades, been largely abandoned. The resulting chaos prepares the whole world to follow Antichrist and the False Prophet. Our society worships technology, honours blasphemy, rejects truth, believes lies, and is becoming progressively more violent. Those are the Antichrist’s main attributes.
As you read these words, I hope you will not despair. Instead, I hope they will encourage you to remember where your hope and security really lie. They are not in this world or the institutions of this world. They are in Jesus Christ and His kingdom.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 says,
“The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
Markets are rattled by a looming trade war with China, a Fed that seems determined to relegate prosperity to America’s rear-view mirror, and a level of instability in Washington rivaled in American history only by the run-up to the Civil War…. Any of these things could translate into a full-blown recession…. Meanwhile, the rest of the world remains dependent on the teetering American economy for their prosperity.
The North Korea denuclearization deal seems to be falling apart before it even begins…. China is building weapons designed to destroy US aircraft carriers…. The overall buildup of the Chinese military is one of the largest ever undertaken. It includes a heavy emphasis on space weapons and the destruction of the digital infrastructure that America and the West depend on for their very survival…. Russia remains a nuclear superpower, and its President, Vladimir Putin, seems determined to build a new generation of exotic super-weapons.
In Washington, a power base entrenched for generations is intent on bringing down this President. They may or may not have legitimate legal arguments against him. We will see as reports finally surface in 2019. But instability in Washington — with fault on both sides — was the hallmark of 2018 and looks to grow even worse in the new year.
Bible prophecy is being fulfilled in dramatic, even spectacular ways. That’s good news because it means that the return of Jesus is getting closer. But the Bible makes it clear that the buildup to Christ’s return will be anything but pleasant. At some point, those of us who are in Christ will be raptured out of here. But between now and the rapture, difficulties will increase. America’s power and influence may be destroyed even sooner than we had imagined.
What about you? What about your family, neighbours, and friends? What about your church and community? What happens now? What happens to you and those you love?
Here’s the thing to remember. Psalm 23 still applies. “The Lord is my shepherd.” He’s still my shepherd, even in the end times. “I shall not want.” He still provides for my needs even in economic hard times.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.”
It’s all still true. And if things become extremely bad, remember verses 4-6.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving-kindness will follow me all the days of my life.”
I don’t know what will happen in 2019. But I know goodness and mercy will follow me. And if you’re in Christ, they will follow you, too. I believe we will continue to see a fulfilment of the general trends laid out in scripture. Yet, even with that, Jesus said there would be an ebb and flow like with the labour pains of childbirth. That means we can’t make precise, year-by-year predictions.
But if you are in Christ, I know a great deal about your future. The big one is this. You’re headed for heaven! The 23rd Psalm ends with an eternal beginning.
“And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Through the years I’ve heard a lot of excuses from pastors and teachers who don’t want to address the Second Coming of Christ.  Many of them say it’s just too difficult to understand.  Recently, I heard about a layman who was upset with God over the whole matter.  He asked, “Why can’t it be simple?”
Some of the greatest minds in history have taken on the subject of Christ’s return, and found it overwhelming.  Sir Isaac Newton, one of the most brilliant men who ever lived, spent more time studying the book of Daniel than he did pondering the laws of gravity.
So, yes, it can be complicated.  The deeper you dig, the more treasure you will find.  That’s the way it is with all of God’s revelation to humanity.  The great themes of the Bible are simple enough for a small child to understand, and complex enough to keep the finest theologians working for centuries to mine their mysteries.
But isn’t that good?  Don’t you want the things of God to be challenging, exciting, and fulfilling — to the mentally challenged, as well as to the most brilliant among usProverbs 25:2 says,
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” (NASB)
The Swiss theologian, Karl Barth, was famous as a deep thinker and a brilliant scholar.  On his one trip to America, a student asked him if it would be possible to summarise his life’s study into a single sentence.  He answered in the words of a children’s song. “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”
Barth wrote many books and gave countless lectures.  He is an example of the fact that the finest scholars find no end to the beauties and intricacies of God’s message to humanity.  But that message can also be summarised in the lyrics to a child’s song. A mentally disabled person can grasp the key to it all — “Jesus loves me… the Bible tells me so.”
Can the study of end-times prophecy be summarised as succinctly?  Yes, it can.  We can find that summation in the words of Jesus from John 14:3 — “I will come again.”
Anyone can understand that.  And what a glorious thing to know!  None of the Bible makes sense without it.  The Old Testament told of a coming Messiah.  He would suffer and die for our sins (Isaiah 53).  And He would rule and reign over the entire earth.  We saw the first part come true at His first coming.  But to fulfil it all, He must come again.
Jesus must return because a multitude of prophecies from the Old and New Testaments still await fulfilment.  He must come again because justice demands it.  And He must return because our world is spiralling out of control, and humanity cannot survive without His direct intervention.
Jesus made His Second Coming a central part of His message.  He repeated it again and again.  In Matthew 24:3, the disciples asked Him, “When will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”  Jesus then spent the rest of that chapter and all the next one talking about His Second Coming.
In Mark 13:26, Jesus said,
“They will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.” In Luke 21:27,
He said,
“They will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”
Jesus said to “watch” for His return.  In Matthew 24:42, He said,
“Be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.”
That means we need to know the signs of His coming.  We need to study, and see how scripture lays out God’s end-times program.  We need to know the promises He has made — including His promises to Abraham.  We know He will keep His word.  He will fulfil every bit of it.  And that means, He will come again!  All we can say is, Praise the LORD.

THAT WAS NOT LIGHTENING INSIDE OF HURRICANE DORIAN – Submitted by Dave Hodges on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 – 11:25.
That Was Not Lightening Inside of Hurricane Dorian. Think portal, if you are thinking simplistically, think Ghostbusters.  And after you are done “thinking”, you better start praying.

Scientific study after scientific study is showing that too much time on social media can be extremely harmful both mentally and physically.  But even though most of us know this, very few of us actually alter our behavior in a meaningful way.  When Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and other major social media platforms first emerged, we welcomed them with open arms.  They were a lot of fun and they allowed us to interact with family, friends and society as a whole in ways that we had never been able to do before.  But they were also extremely addictive, and they rapidly became transformed into dumping grounds for just about everything toxic, negative and malevolent that you can possibly imagine.  Today, many of us spend far more time on social media than we do with real people, and as you will see below, that has enormous implications for our future. The trade war between the United States and China is increasingly weighing on the global economy, but unfortunately it does not appear that it will end any time soon.  Many pundits in the U.S. originally believed that the trade war would be short because the economic pain would be too much for the Chinese to handle.  But the truth is that the Chinese are not nearly as motivated by short-term concerns as we are.  They have always been long-term planners, and they are not afraid to set goals that may take multiple generations to achieve.  So they are not going to allow an angry American president that may be voted out of office by the end of next year to greatly alter their long-term economic strategies.
If an acceptable agreement could have been reached with Trump, the Chinese would have jumped at that opportunity.  But right now the two sides are so far apart that they are basically not even on the same playing field, and any additional “negotiations” are not going to change that.  However, the Chinese are likely to try to keep talks with the Trump administration alive in an attempt to prevent the trade war from escalating even more.  In essence, the Chinese are trying to minimize the damage while running out the clock on the Trump presidency.
So for China, this trade war has become an exercise in endurance, and this is something that a Fox Business article recently discussed…
Researchers from Deutsche Bank wrote a note over the weekend, explaining how they believe China appears to have shifted its strategy from a focus on “resolution to one of endurance.”
“We think China is neither aiming to quickly reach a trade deal, nor trying to hit back at the U.S. as hard as it can,” Deutsche Bank China Economist Yi Xiong wrote in a report. “Rather, China seems to have internalized the trade war as a given fact, and is trying to preserve China’s economic resilience under rising tariffs.”
Here in the U.S., we have become quite accustomed to sacrificing our long-term prosperity in order to avoid short-term pain, but the Chinese are simply not going to do that in this case.
Instead, they are going to work extremely hard to do what they can to bolster the Chinese economy internally while they wait for a more “reasonable” U.S. president to get elected.  The following comes from the South China Morning Post
China will “enhance countercyclical measures in macroeconomic policies … to ensure sufficient liquidity and reasonable growth in credit,” according to a statement by the government’s Financial Stability and Development Commission on Sunday. The wording marked a subtle change from previous policy statements that called only for “appropriate” fine-tuning of monetary policy.
The statement did not mention the trade war with the US, but included specific guidelines on what China should do to manage its economy in the coming months. It urged financial institutions to help sell local government special bonds, with proceeds to be used for government-backed investment projects, while it also told local authorities to “fully tap investment potential”.
Unlike Chinese officials, President Trump has an upcoming election that he must deal with, and the longer this trade war persists the worse his re-election chances are going to become.
As I detailed yesterday, signs of economic trouble are erupting all around us, and the pain from this trade war is only going to become more intense as each new month passes.
So Trump is going to become increasingly desperate to get China to come to an agreement, and that may lead to some very rash decisions.  For example, it is being reported that he “wanted to double tariff rates on Chinese goods” after the Chinese responded to recent U.S. tariffs by imposing some of their own…
President Donald Trump wanted to double tariff rates on Chinese goods last month after Beijing’s latest retaliation in a boiling trade war before settling on a smaller increase, three sources told CNBC.
The president was outraged after he learned Aug. 23 that China had formalized plans to slap duties on $75 billion in U.S. products in response to new tariffs from Washington on Sept. 1. His initial reaction, communicated to aides on a White House trade call held that day, was to suggest doubling existing tariffs, according to three people briefed on the matter.
Unfortunately for Trump, no amount of pressure is going to get the Chinese to budge.
Yes, the Chinese will “talk” to U.S. officials as a delaying tactic, but they have already decided that they will never accept the sort of deal that Trump wants.
Meanwhile, our economic numbers just continue to deteriorate.  On Tuesday, we learned that a key measure of U.S. manufacturing just fell to the lowest level in three years
A key U.S. factory gauge unexpectedly contracted for the first time since 2016, sending stocks and bond yields lower and boosting expectations for interest-rate cuts as global manufacturing woes deepen.
The Institute for Supply Management’s purchasing managers index fell to 49.1 in August, weaker than all forecasts in a Bloomberg survey of economists, data released Tuesday showed. Figures below 50 indicate the manufacturing economy is generally shrinking. The group’s gauge of new orders dropped to a more than seven-year low, while the production index hit the lowest since late 2015.
In response to that number and more troubling news about the trade war, U.S. stocks were sharply down
Stocks fell on Tuesday, the first trading day of a historically tough month, after the world’s two largest economies began imposing new tariffs on each other’s goods. Weak manufacturing data also dented investor sentiment.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 285.26 points lower, or 1.1%, at 26,118.02. The S&P 500 lost 0.7% to end the day at 2,906.27 while the Nasdaq Composite pulled back 1.1% to 7,874.16.
We have reached an absolutely critical moment in modern American history.  The largest financial bubble in our entire history is on the verge of bursting, and many believe that we could be on the precipice of an economic downturn even worse than what we experienced in 2008 and 2009.
A trade deal with China would greatly help the short-term outlook, but the Chinese are not willing to give Trump what he desires.  So the only way one will happen is if President Trump completely caves in, but I don’t see that happening.
That means that a tremendous amount of pain is ahead, and the American people are completely unprepared for that.

Have you ever seen a storm move slower than Dorian? As the hurricane pounded the Bahamas, its forward progress slowed to one mile per hour. One Facebook post humorously projected the storm to arrive in New York City on Christmas Day.
If radar could somehow pick up the approaching tribulation as it does hurricanes, we would see it as a massive bright red blob on the screen moving slowly but surely toward the unsuspecting world. We do not know when it will hit, but we know two things. First, the Bible tells us this storm will arrive at some point in the future. Second, the signs of its approach are many and growing in intensity each and every day.
Have you heard of China’s surveillance system? China uses technology to monitor all the choices of its people. Based on such things as the places they visit, social media activity, and what they buy, they receive a numerical grade. China recently used scores from this system to prevent over one and a half million Chinese from purchasing airplane tickets.
It gets worse. According to a recent report, a company in Silicon Valley is preparing just such a system for the United States.
This screams Revelation 13 for all who are paying attention. Verses 16-18 describe the antichrist using just such a system to control the buying and selling of people worldwide during the tribulation.
Jeff Klinzman, a former adjunct English professor at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, made this comment on social media about Evangelical Christians, “Kill them all and bury them deep in the ground.” Not surprisingly, he identifies with the fascist group Antifa. The college has fired him.
We know that during the tribulation the antichrist will kill millions of Jews and believers. Satan is already busily preparing the mindset of the world to accept violence against Jews and Christians after Jesus takes us away to His Father’s house in heaven (John 14:2-3). We see this in the growing Anti-Semitism throughout the world and in the lack of tolerance for biblical views of morality.
These are just a couple of recent developments that show how the devil is shaping the world for the arrival of his man, the antichrist.
It grieves me that so many Christians do not see this approaching storm; for them the radar screen remains blank. They do not recognize the signs of the time in which we live.
God is in total control of everything; that is the good news and our comfort. He loves His dear children and we will someday soon be in His presence. He knows it’s increasingly difficult to wait for Jesus’ appearing amidst the suffering, affliction, and fierce opposition to what we believe. He sees and is near to all who experience the brokenness of this world.
I have two personal news items to share with you.
First, I will be preaching at Strongsville Bible Fellowship Church in Strongsville, Ohio this coming Sunday morning, September 8. I would appreciate your prayers as I prepare for this opportunity.
Second, I recently added a Donate button to my website for those whom the Lord leads to help with expenses related to maintenance of my website and for my efforts to reach others with the hope for what lies ahead for us, the Gospel future.
Below are links to a few recent blog posts that speak to the urgency of the hour in which we live.

Those who deny the millennial reign of Jesus remain blind to the signs of the approaching storm. That is just one of the perils for believers exposed to such teaching.
In the next post, I list 7 ways that the rapture differs from the Second Coming.
Although this has happened since New Testament times, the high profile departures from the Christian faith also warn us about what lies ahead.
