But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! (Galatians 1:8)
(John 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free

QUESTION:    I’m concerned that “live by faith” has become just a phrase to many including me. It’s easy to say but how does it work in the world? How do we live by faith practically in our routine lives? Somehow I feel I’m missing something really awesome in the practice of living by faith. Can you give some thoughts on this?
ANSWER:    Jesus explained living by faith in Matt. 6:19-34. I’ll summarize it for you. Having told us not to store up treasure on Earth but in Heaven, (Matt. 6:19-20) He said,
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear … For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matt. 6:25,32-33)
To me this doesn’t mean we just sit and wait like baby birds with our mouths open, but that we live in a way that reflects our priorities. Our main goal is to honor Him in everything we say and do, and trust Him to fulfill His part of the bargain. We can tell how successful we are by measuring the amount of worry we feel. The more we live by faith the less worry we’ll experience.

QUESTION:    What is the comparison and contrast between victorious faith and over comers faith that we find in the book of Hebrews in chapter 11 and their applications for those who are represented in Hebrews 11 by the two groups of people known as the overcome’s and the others?
ANSWER:    There is no difference between victorious faith and the faith of overcomers, and no form of the word overcome appears in Hebrews 11.
The notion that over comers are somehow superior to other believers is a man made one. It’s used by some to distinguish between believers who by their behavior have earned the right to be the Bride of Christ and those who haven’t because they’ve failed to live worthy lives. Others say it’s the standard that qualifies believers for the rapture. Neither of these opinions can be supported by Scripture.
The word first appears in connection with believers in John 16:33 where Jesus told us to take heart because He has overcome the world.
Of all the New Testament writers, John used the word most often, saying that those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God have overcome the wicked one (1 John 2:14), the spirit of anti-Christ (1 John 4:4) and the world (1 John 5:4-5).
In Rev. 2-3 he used the word in each of the seven letters to churches to describe believers who resist or reject the religious sin for which the particular church is being criticized and remain true to the gospel. In short, overcomers are those who remain true to the simplicity of the Gospel, that Jesus died for our sins and rose again.

The news came as North Korea made a show of dismantling a nuclear test site, but also on the heels of some sharp words from the North Korean government about American demands regarding denuclearization. Doubts had grown in recent days about whether the summit would actually happen. by Geoffrey Grider May 24, 2018 -
President Donald Trump has canceled his historic summit in Singapore with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un next month. The meeting, which would have marked the first face-to-face encounter between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader, was set for June 12.
EDITOR’S NOTE: This is one of the main reasons why I like so much the job that Donald Trump is doing as president. Almost as soon as the Nuclear Summit with North Korea was set, portly tyrant Kim Jong-Un started issuing statements provoking the United States in a highly insulting manner.  President Trump decided that he had had enough of that nonsense and now we see he has pulled the plug on the entire thing. That’s the America I know, that’s what Ronald Reagan would have done, and it’s hardcore moves like that that make other nations fear and respect us. And that’s exactly what we lost under the 8 years of Obama’s ‘leading from behind‘ nonsense. Great job, President Trump, keep it up!
“Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting,” Trump wrote in a letter to Kim, which was released Thursday morning.
The news came as North Korea made a show of dismantling a nuclear test site, but also on the heels of some sharp words from the North Korean government about American demands regarding denuclearization.
Doubts had grown in recent days about whether the summit would actually happen. North Korea abruptly canceled talks with South Korea out of anger over joint military tests with the U.S. in the Korean peninsula.
While much of the letter was written in conciliatory terms, including praise for North Korea’s recent release of three America prisoners, the U.S. president also appeared to issue a threat that conjured memories of his war of words with Kim last year.
“You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used,” Trump wrote in the letter.
Earlier Thursday, a top North Korean official, Choe Son Hui, called Vice President Mike Pence’s remarks likening Pyongyang with Libya “ignorant” and “stupid.”
Pence had said North Korea could end up like Libya if it doesn’t make a nuclear deal with Washington.
“As a person involved in U.S. affairs, I cannot suppress my surprise at such ignorant and stupid remarks gushing from the mouth of the U.S. vice president,” Choe said, according to KCNA.
The vice president’s comments also echoed those of Trump’s national security advisor, John Bolton, who had suggested the U.S. could pursue a Libya-style denuclearization plan with North Korea. Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was eventually violently overthrown, a move the U.S. supported. North Korea’s Kim is concerned about regime change.

His Excellency
Kim Jong Un
Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democractic People’s Republic of Korea
Dear Mr. Chairman:
We greatly appreciate your time, patience, and effort with respect to our recent negotiations and discussions relative to a summit long sought by both parties, which was scheduled to take place on June 12 in Singapore. We were informed that the meeting was requested by North Korea, but that to us is totally irrelevant. I was very much looking forward to being there with you. Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting. Therefore, please let this letter serve to represent that the Singapore summit, for the good of both parties, but to the detriment of the world, will not take place. You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that i pray to God they will never have to be used.
I felt a wonderful dialogue was building up between you and me, and ultimately it is only that dialogue that matters. Some day, I look very much forward to meeting you. In the meantime, I want to thank you for the release of the hostages who are now home with their families. That was a beautiful gesture and was very much appreciated.
If you change your mind having to do with this most important summit, please do not hesitate to call me or write. The world, and North Korea in particular, has lost a great opportunity for lasting peace and great prosperity and wealth. This missed opportunity is a truly sad moment in history.
Sincerely yours,
Donald J. Trump
President of the United States of America

Bill Wilson –
Dad always said that we shouldn’t discuss politics and religion with others-not in the sense of sharing Christ, but rather the divisive particulars of doctrine. Same with politics. Dad and Mom had many friends of different political stripes, but my parents were very conservative Republicans. I didn’t know until much later in life the political persuasion of family friends. I will say that they all were very conservative, even though some were Democrats. “Best not to discuss politics and religion,” Dad would say. Yet, at the dinner table growing up on our family farm in Ohio, we often discussed both. I got my grounding around that dinner table. It’s where I learned discernment, and formed my internal justice meter.
Nowadays, it’s very difficult to refrain from discussing religion and politics in public gatherings. The 24-hour “news” cycle, which really is a bombardment of editorial opinion disguised as news, has made it nearly impossible to avoid such conversations. The nation is truly polarized by this nonsense that countrymen allow themselves to believe. There is a lack of common sense. There is a lack of responsibility and ownership of one’s own words and deeds. It’s like the dad of the shooter in the most recent school massacre in Texas saying that his son shot up everyone in response to bullying. That’s no reason to shoot anybody. I was bullied as a child, it didn’t make me want to kill anybody. We talked it over at the dinner table.
All these crazy investigations over whether Russia influenced the election. It’s nonsense, too. Nobody tells me how to vote. How about you? A bunch of crooks are trying to cover up their dealings by accusing others of what they were doing. Sure, a prosecutor can defend any charges against someone. That’s why our laws say that we are innocent until proven guilty. Investigations after investigations are revealing little except about crooks trying to keep their power. People are sore about losing. Others are vindictive. Others have a political agenda that would undermine our freedoms. They are all working together for their own advancement. Like Deuteronomy 12:8, “every man did which is right in his own eyes.”
There are a lot of problems in this world. They seem to get worse every day. It is the prophetic path to the return of the Messiah. We need to understand and discern the truth, even among the sources that we trust. As my friend Ronald Reagan used to say, “Trust, but verify.” Let’s also remember
Proverbs 3:4-7,”So shall you find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
Pretty sound advice—maybe worth sharing when talking politics and religion around the dinner table.

Those close to Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas are going to great lengths to hide the true condition of his health. With his hospitalizations becoming more frequent, many expect him to face the music, declare he is unable to perform his duties and name a successor or, at the very least, delegate his powers in preparations for the future.
Abbas was re-elected as head of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s Executive Committee in early May and named former Nablus Governor Mahmoud Aloul as his deputy. Yet it is well-known that the nomination was a temporary stopgap as Aloul, who lacks charisma as well as mass support among the Palestinians, will be unable to stop the bloody race to power when the time comes.
Palestinian officials expect that the battle for power, in which Israel will strive not to intervene, will pit members of the P.A.’s “founders’ order” against the younger generation, as well as against Fatah’s own hawkish opposition, of which exiled Fatah strongman Mohammed Dahlan, former head of the Preventive Security Force in the West Bank Jibril Rajoub and head of the Palestinian Authority’s General Intelligence Service Majid Faraj have already emerged as the front-runners.
In these officials’ view, the risk of chaos is increasing because of the volatile involvement of Dahlan’s well-funded supporters in Gaza, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Fatah’s military wing and even Hamas, which has made no secret of its desire to overrun the West Bank and unite the Palestinians under its rule.
But why does Abbas so vehemently against naming an actual successor and ensuring an orderly transition of power? The answer lies with the murderous historical nature of the terrorist syndicate, which has no clear democratic procedures and where those closest to the leader may end up posing the biggest threat to him. The politically weak Aloul, however, poses no such threat, which is exactly why he was chosen.
The pantheon of aging PLO leaders still enjoys credibility as they all have Jewish blood on their hands, but the same can be said of Barghouti and Dahlan, who also enjoy the support of some of their elders as part of inter-Palestinian ploys.
Overall, however, the PLO is losing its credibility due to its political failures on both the global and Arab arena, culminating in the relocation of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. The PLO is also plagued by massive corruption, leading to increased support for Hamas, which is perceived as “corruption-free” despite its defeats in Gaza. As far as many Palestinians are concerned, Hamas is preferable to Fatah because the corrupt PLO’s recognition of Israel has done nothing to contribute to the formation of a Palestinian state.
Palestinian intellectuals believe that failure to create an agreed-upon political solution for the post-Abbas era will create a power vacuum and place whatever is left of the Palestinian unity in unprecedented danger. In their view, chaos will produce internal bloodshed and prompt terrorism against Israel, which will have no choice but to intervene and eliminate the remnants of that unity.
These intellectuals believe that this historic juncture will test whether the Palestinians have evolved into a people that has the political and social abilities necessary to join the family of nations or whether they are still little more than a corrupt terrorist syndicate.

Terry James –
We know we are at the end of the dispensation of grace for specific reasons. A number of these come to mind.
Evil men and seducers are growing worse, as the Apostle Paul forewarned. The time has come when “they”-meaning religionists who claim to know Christ but do not-will not “endure sound doctrine.”
All of Paul’s “perilous times” prophecies are in view, as we have dissected many times. False accusers, for example, are in our daily headlines, with lies being told for political gain or just to heap hatred upon ideological enemies.
There is a denial that God should be found anywhere in humanistic governance. As stated many times, here, Psalm 2 is in play as never before. The international community, i.e., the UN and those within every other such globalist forum, want to “break the bands asunder” that bind the human race to any form of godly mooring.
We know these are the last days because there are scoffers that say in mocking derision: “Where is the promise of his coming, for since the fathers fell asleep all things are as they were from the beginning?”
In addition to all the above, proof that we are in prophesied times of the end occurred Monday, May 14. Israel reached what many Bible prophecy observers view as the span of a generation-70 years since its refounding into modernity. This, many believe, is the gist of the prophecy the Lord gave while expounding on things to come atop the Mount of Olives.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Matthew 24:32-35)
Israel is generally considered the prime signal of where we are on God’s prophetic timeline. That strange nation has reached its 70th birthday so far as its modern incarnation is concerned. A generation is defined by God’s Word as 70 years in one specific instance. Therefore, Jesus, who is the Word, giving this Olivet Prophecy about the fig tree-often the symbol for Israel-makes the modern nation’s 70th anniversary living proof to many that the end of the age is upon this generation.
I term Israel “strange” because of the fact that it is like no other in human history. Having been completely destroyed as a nation, its people dispersed into all the world and its language dissolved, yet it is now back in its God-given land. It has its native language again-Hebrew-and is the center of worldwide attention.
As I often remind, no matter which way the cameras and microphones turn to capture other stories, they always, without fail, turn right back to that one spot on planet earth that is God’s touchstone-to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, where the Holy of Holies sat and will reside again one prophetic day.
So, Israel is in the headlines again this past week. The hatreds of the world are in full display to prove God’s Word about the rebellion of the globalists found in Psalm 2.
Satan is in a rage because he above all else has wanted to completely destroy Israel and the Jewish people. If he could do so, he would make the Creator a liar, and his own fate in the Lake of Fire could be avoided.
But, God’s Word is truth. Things are unfolding exactly as God foretells, and right on time. Further proof of God’s prophetic truth is reflected in an excerpt or two from the following news story:
(May 9, 2018 / JNS) In the past 70 years, no single country’s stock has risen faster or farther than the State of Israel. Once a resource-poor, existentially endangered nation-state comprised of refugees from post-Holocaust Europe and Muslim countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa, Israel has emerged into a world economic, military and diplomatic superpower.
In just one week, Israel’s elevated status is being put on full display, in no small part due to the unlikely and oft-polarizing duo of U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu…
It is, of course, fitting that the very date-May 14-of the new embassy’s opening ceremony corresponds both with Yom Yerushalayim (“Jerusalem Day”) on the Hebrew calendar and the 70th anniversary of Israel’s Independence on the secular calendar…
While the Jewish state’s stock is rising, Israel’s enemies are imploding. Though Iran has expanded its reach across the Middle East-wreaking havoc on Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen-severe cracks have been exposed in the dictatorial regime of the Islamic Republic. During the past year, public protests against the regime’s corruption have broken out across the country. And in the past several weeks, the value of Iran’s currency, the rial, has plummeted, throwing Iran into severe economic uncertainty even before the impending onset of the “highest level of economic sanctions” about to be imposed by the United States. (“Jerusalem is rising as Israel’s enemies falter,” Alex Traiman,, May 13, 2018)
Proof of the truth of God’s Word is found throughout Bible prophecy. We are witnessing that proof each and every day as issues and events of our time emerge from the headlines.
Israel, although hated by most of the world leaders, is blossoming. So is the United States of America under this presidential administration.
Iran, arguably Israel’s chief enemy, whose Islamist leaders call Israel the “little Satan,” and America “the big Satan,” are sinking deeper into the curse promised to all who curse God’s chosen people.
There is no illusion here that terrible times are not to soon unfold for the Jewish people. It is prophesied. But the end of it all will be a glorious outcome beyond any ever bestowed upon any nation or people:
I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your descendants. Your descendants shall also be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread out to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And behold, I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. (Genesis 28:13-15)

Todd Strandberg –
Nearly 100 Palestinians have been killed in clashes at the Gaza/Israeli border fence. For the past several weeks, the people of Gaza have hopelessly tried to breach the border and enter into Israel. A sane person would declare this to be a stupid endeavor; but, with each passing day, the Palestinians become all the more motivated in achieving an invasion of the Jewish state.
Hamas, the Islamic terrorist organization that rules Gaza, has made every effort to involve as many people as possible in the conflict. Schools in the Strip were closed. Fishermen were prohibited from working. Buses were chartered to bring people to the protests. The Gaza-ruling terrorist group even offered to pay people for attending – $100 per family. If someone gets shot, Hamas will pay them $300 to $500. If a protester gets killed, the family will receive a payment of $3,000.
The Israeli military has done everything possible to avoid bloodshed. The army has used drones and cannons to propel vast amounts of tear gas into the crowds. They’ve also used water cannons, foul- smelling liquids, and sponge-tipped bullets. A long line of razor wire was stretched out to prevent the Palestinians from reaching the main fence. They also dropped leaflets that warned people to stay away from the border fence.
No other nation on earth would have tolerated this type of action on its border without using deadly force. At least 52 of the 60 Palestinians reportedly killed in clashes ahead of the Jerusalem opening of the U.S. Embassy in Israel were members of Hamas. A dozen of them were killed trying to plant bombs on or near the border wall. Most were shot for hurling pipe bombs, firebombs and other deadly objects at IDF troops.
The liberal media has been absolutely disgraceful in how they have covered the conflict. They paint a picture of poor innocent Palestinians being slaughtered by the trigger-happy Israeli military. In an NPR interview, a reporter tells a young man that the Israelis will exploit the fact that he has a swastika on his kite. The man answered by saying, “This is what we want them to know, that we want to burn them.”
When 45 Palestinians were killed in Syria in April, the world didn’t protest those deaths. In that case, the Jews weren’t involved, so there was no reason to care.
None of the reporters on the ground are based out of Gaza because they know Hamas would kill them. They use their press credentials to go into the danger zone to watch Palestinians act like animals, and then they go back to their safe Israeli hotels to write stories negative of the IDF.
Hamas has been 100% transparent that terrorism is their intention. Anyone monitoring Gaza TV would know this truth. The Mossad posted one of Hamas’s operating plans for the Monday protest. Here is one paragraph that shows their true colors:
“Demonstrators are requested to act in accordance with the demand to bring a knife or a gun, to hide them under their clothes and not use them except where is needed to capture soldiers or residents of Israel. It is requested not to kill them, but to hand them over to the resistance forces, as this is an important bargaining chip of which Israel is afraid.”
Israel has won all the battles to defend its border, but Hamas is slowly winning the propaganda war. The Jewish state has been bombarded with condemnations and accusations of excessive force from around the world. Two countries, South Africa and Turkey, announced they were pulling their ambassadors from Israel. The Israeli ambassador to Ireland received a formal dressing down. The US veto power is the only thing preventing the UN Security Council from passing a condemnation of Israel.
This illogical hatred of the Jews in handling the Gaza border conflict has the devil’s fingerprint all over it. Satan is a master at deceiving vast multitudes to follow him into rebellion. He convinced a third of the heavenly angels to join his side, he was behind every dictator that tried to enslave the world, and he will soon organize the Battle of Armageddon. The most chilling example of Satan’s skills is his very last rebellion. Jesus will have ruled on earth for 1,000 years with perfect peace. As soon as the devil is set free from his abysmal prison, he will quickly gather a large army of people to attack the Holy City.
The only thing holding back Satan is God’s authorization. Bible prophecy and the growing madness in Gaza tell us that the go ahead will soon be given.
Revelation 20:7-10, “When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth-Gog and Magog-to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

Bill Wilson –
We have been watching the actions of Turkey and its “president” Recep Tayyip Erdogan for quite some time as a prophetic indicator. The Islamic Caliphate/Ottoman Empire, headquartered in Turkey, was one of the longest lasting empires in history spanning 624 years from 1299 to 1923. Its control over the Middle East was far greater than the Roman Empire. Some scholars now believe that a revived Ottoman Empire is the one prophesied as the end-time antichrist system. The end time battle of Ezekiel 38 is led from specific locations in Turkey—Magog, Meshech, Tubal. Also Christ is quoted in Revelation 2:13 that Pergamos is “even where Satan’s seat is…where Satan dwells.” Pergamon is in Turkey.
Turkey is leading the media charge that Israel is a terrorist state because it “massacred” some 60 “Palestinians” on the day the US Embassy was dedicated. Erdogan is using the Jews to enrage the Muslim world against Israel. Erdogan claims Israel is no different than the Nazis because it killed Hamas terrorists trying to invade Israel’s border with Gaza. Hamas admitted that of the 60 people killed, 50 were members of Hamas, who were instigating and leading the riots aimed at storming the Israeli border. Warning after warning was given that deadly force would be used if the invasion persisted. Erdogan led an Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit to condemn Israel and the US for the killings.
The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that Turkey’s currency, the lira, fell as much as 5% on Wednesday and has lost as much as 20% of its value so far this year, “adding to a long decline that is forcing extreme monetary measures to compensate.” WSJ reports, that Erdogan is to blame, “Turkey has been running a current-account deficit that is on trend to exceed 6% of GDP…With capital fleeing, Mr. Erdogan is getting higher interest rates in any case as the central bank tries to stem the lira panic. On Wednesday the bank lifted a key lending rate to 16.5% from 13.5%. Consider this the price of the lost credibility of Turkish institutions under Mr. Erdogan’s increasingly authoritarian rule. Dictators are rarely good economic managers because they want to dictate fiscal and monetary policy as much as they do every political choice.”
WSJ compared Turkey’s financial woes to Argentina’s. We know that Argentina has fallen into a deep state of financial despair. Could Turkey be headed in a similar direction? Now this is very subtle, prophetically. Speaking of Gog of Magog (Located in Turkey), Ezekiel 38:10-12 says, Thus says the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into your mind, and you shall think an evil thought: And you shall say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, to take a spoil, and to take a prey.”
Financial desperation could be a reason to take a spoil from a prosperous land. We could be seeing the beginning of how that evil thought may develop.

Facebook users concerned one of their private photos may be shared online can reach out to several groups the company has partnered with — including the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, and the National Network to End Domestic Violence — to request a form. They’ll then be asked to upload photos to a “secure, one-time upload link” so it can be reviewed by a “handful of specially trained members of our Community Operations team,” Facebook’s Global Head of Safety Antigone Davis explained. Once the hash is created, Facebook deletes the image from its servers.

Fresh off a worldwide apology tour for a major data breach, Facebook is asking its users to send in some of their most intimate photos in a bid to “proactively” combat revenge porn. The social network on Tuesday announced it will begin testing the new reporting technique in Australia, Canada, the UK and the United States beginning this week.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Honestly, does Facebook really think their users are this incredibly stupid? They have done some wacky things in the past like that new algorithm to block Christian conservative news publishers in time for the 2018 election, or the home ‘Portal’ system that is always on. Or any of the other wacky things they like to do, but this really takes the cake. But you have to be some special kind of idiot to willingly load up compromising photos of yourself so they can be drooled over by the Facebook ‘community operations team’. Remember, those are the same group of ‘experts’ that ban you for a week every time you post on exposing the Far Left or the Deep State. Yeah, trust those people and see how well  that works out for you.
The pilot program takes aim at non-consensual image sharing on the platform by creating a “hash,” or a unique digital finger print of a photo, which can be used to detect any future attempts to share the same image.

Once the hash is created, Facebook deletes the image from its servers.
“We store hashes so any time someone tries to upload an image with the same fingerprint, we can block it from appearing on Facebook, Instagram or Messenger,” Davis said.
Facebook already has a feature that allows users to report when an intimate photo has been shared on the site, but this process is an effort to prevent the photo from being shared in the first place.
“It’s demeaning and devastating when someone’s intimate images are shared without their permission, and we want to do everything we can to help victims of this abuse,” Davis said.
According to the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, 82% of revenge porn survivors say the suffer “impairment in social occupational, or other important areas of functioning,” while 49% say they’ve been harassed by those who have seen the image.
Facebook’s announcement regarding its new safety tool came the same day CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared before the European Parliament, where he apologized for the wide-reaching Cambridge Analytica Scandal.
The now-shuttered British consulting firm, which worked for President Donald Trump’s campaign, inappropriately obtained the data of at least 87 million users in a bid to influence political elections.
“We haven’t done enough to prevent these tools from being used for harm,” he said Tuesday. “That goes for fake news, foreign interference in elections and developers misusing people’s information. We didn’t take a broad enough view of our responsibility and that was a mistake, and I’m sorry for it.”
The 33-year-old billionaire was similarly grilled in April by American lawmakers on Facebook’s role in the data mining-scandal, where he parroted a similar apology. source

At the time Saudi state media dismissed reports on Twitter and elsewhere that the shots were the sound of a coup taking place, insisting instead the semi-automatic gunfire was merely aimed at a recreational drone that had flown too close to the palace walls. In this age of fake news and heavy Arab media censorship it’s hard to know who to trust, but what seems certain is that the Crown Prince, previously ubiquitous as the international focal point of a cultural revolution in the kingdom, seems suddenly to have vanished.
Has Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman been assassinated, had a breakdown, or gone into hiding? Or is that just wild internet conjecture? I ask only because he has barely been seen in public since prolonged heavy gunfire was heard at the royal palace in Riyadh in the middle of the night on April 21.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Back on April 2, we reported that the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman publicly stated that Israel has a ‘right to exist’ , and was rumored to be working with Jared Kushner in the Trump administration on a blockbuster Middle East peace deal. Then on April 21, there was gunfire at the Saudi royal palace, and the Crown Prince has not been seen or heard from since then. Bin Salman has lots of enemies among his own people, and nothing will get Muslim madder quicker than saying nice things about Israel. Since his disappearance, the Saudis have released two undated photos in an attempt to quell the rumors, but no video or live appearances anywhere. Kind of odd for a person that prior to April 21 was in the news seemingly all the time. So…where did the crown prince disappear to?

Social media is ablaze with rumours of the young ruler’s murder.
Users are sharing reports of a supposedly secret intelligence dossier that states MBS, as the Crown Prince is known, has been shot twice.
The editor-in-chief of Tehran-based daily Kayhan (unlikely, it must be said, to be an impartial source for Saudi news coverage) has written in an editorial: ‘At least two bullets have hit bin Salman in April 21 clashes in Riyadh and it is even possible that he is dead.’
According to a well-placed source at the British Foreign Office, however, the Crown Prince is alive and well. He was also photographed at the opening of the Qiddiya project, Saudi Arabia’s biggest cultural, sports and entertainment site on April 28.
So the story must be Iranian fake news, mustn’t it? Perhaps to head off talk of assassination, a palace courtier has released a photo of MBS socialising with King Hamad of Bahrain, President Sisi of Egypt and Abu Dhabi ruler Mohammed bin Zayed.
But that picture seems a strange way to convince the world MBS is fighting fit. It certainly looks like the man himself, even if a cap is obscuring his eyes. But it’s impossible to verify when the photo of the four men standing by a swimming pool was taken. Surely – given the gravity of the claims – MBS could have recorded a video statement by now? Is he in hiding? Or incapacitated?
As Saudi Arabia Shockingly Says That Israel Has A ‘Right’ To Its Own Land, Is This The Man With The Peace Covenant?
Interestingly, when Mike Pompeo visited Saudi Arabia in late April, no photos or video footage of MBS with the US Secretary of State were seen. The State Department did not confirm that a scheduled working dinner with Secretary Pompeo and MBS  had in fact taken place, or that the two men had seen each other in Riyadh. The schedule would have been changed if the they had not met, said a spokesperson, somewhat opaquely. The meeting was closed to press. Again, this is odd, given the blazing publicity around MBS over the last year. Has he been sidelined by his elders in the Saudi ruling family?
Whatever has happened to him, MBS is certainly not short of enemies at home.
After becoming the nation’s de facto ruler in June, 2017, the 32-year old rounded up 380 or so of Saudi’s richest men in what was billed as a corruption purge. There were unconfirmed reports of torture until the powerful detained men agreed to sign over to the state large portions of their wealth.
MBS has also not shied away from angering powerful Wahhabi clerics as he has sought to begin modernising the kingdom. He has lifted a ban on women driving, for example, and, more shockingly for Saudi conservatives, allowed relations with the long-hated Israel to start to thaw, almost publicly.
Abroad, Iran and other powerful Shia forces throughout the region would rejoice at news of the Crown Prince’s death. Tensions in the Middle East are running particularly high at the moment thanks in no small part to the apparent closeness of MBS to President Trump’s White House.
It could be, of course, that MBS, exhausted after a whistle-stop media tour of Europe and the United States, is actually holed up on a luxury yacht on a long holiday. But it does seem strange that his retreat from public view appears to have come soon after the sound of heavy gunfire at the palace. source
