An Earthly Tent And A Heavenly House

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands (2 Cor. 5:1).
In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you (John 14:2).
Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. (2 Cor. 5:2-3)
When believers die their spirits go directly to be with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:6-8, Phil 1:22-24), while their earthly bodies are buried in the ground and quickly return to dust. At the time of their resurrection, they will be given new heavenly bodies while we who are still living will be changed from mortal to immortal and together we’ll all go with the Lord to His Father’s house (1 Thes. 4:16-17).
For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life (2 Cor. 5:4).

The Old Has Gone, The New Has Come

Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come (2 Cor. 5:5).
“When you were dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive in Christ” (Ephes 2:13).
Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:6-8).

Here Comes The Judge

So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad (2 Cor. 5:9-10).
1 Cor. 4:5. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.”

1Th. 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; THEN SUDDEN DESTRUCTION COMETH UPON THEM, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape

By Daymond Duck –
“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all” (Luke 17:26-29).
Among other things, Jesus was pointing out that the people of Noah’s day and Lot’s day were going about their ordinary pursuits (eating, drinking, marrying, etc.) with no thought that God would soon judge them for their sin.
Because of sin in Noah’s day, the Flood would deluge the world. And in Lot’s day, fire and brimstone would soon destroy Sodom and Gomorrah; but the people were not concerned that the judgment of God would fall on them.
In their eyes, everything was normal. They continued their godless pursuits with no thoughts of a showdown with God.
A recent Gallup Poll reminded me of this. The pollsters found that pornography is morally acceptable to 27% of all Republicans, 43% of all Americans, and 53% of all Democrats. Multitudes are simply ignoring how God might respond.
Second, Jesus also said there will be “earthquakes in divers places” (Matt. 24:7).
The Church Age has always had earthquakes, but some Bible verses indicate that they will increase in frequency and intensity (like birth pains) at the end of the age.
Third, it was recently reported that there were more than 500 earthquakes near the summit of Kilauea in one 24-hour period (the most ever in 24 hours at that place) and more than 12,000 earthquakes there in the last 30 days.
This was not an increase in intensity, but it was definitely an increase in frequency.
Fourth, God said on earth there will be “fire and vapour of smoke” (Acts 2:19).
Two volcanoes (Kilauea and Fuego) have been spitting fire, smoke and hot toxic gases for several days. Kilauea has burned hundreds of houses and structures.
Fuego has caused burns on thousands of people.
The Steamboat geyser in Yellowstone National Park has erupted 8 times since March. This is unprecedented in such a short period of time. Some explosions have been very strong.
The combined activity of Kilauea, Fuego and Steamboat is causing concern for some scientists.
Fifth, wars and rumors of wars are also a sign (Matt. 24:6), and more and more it looks like a showdown with Iran is on the horizon.
Pres. Trump and Prime Min. Netanyahu have made it clear that the U.S. and Israel will not let Iran develop nuclear weapons.
Pres. Trump plainly said there will be “devastating consequences” for Iran if the nation restarts its nuclear development program.
On June 6, 2018, Iran announced that it will resume construction on a factory that will produce centrifuges for the enrichment of uranium for nuclear weapons. Their military expects the construction to be complete in about one month.
Also, on June 6, 2018, Pres. Trump approved a strengthening of America’s military forces in Israel in preparation for a military showdown with Iran.
He has also approved an increase in Israel’s military capabilities by sending a large number of tankers to refuel Israel’s Jets in the air during attacks on Iran.
Sixth, at the June 2018 G-7 meeting in Canada, Pres. Trump was scorned; Prime Min. Trudeau stabbed the U.S. in the back; there was talk of isolating the U.S. from the remainder of the G-7; and Angela Merkel called for the EU to take a stronger role in global affairs.
This corresponds to the opinion of many prophecy teachers that the U.S. will decline and the EU will dominate a New World Order during the Tribulation Period.
Seventh, a group of nations called the Kings of the East will invade the Middle East during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 16:12).
The Bible does not identify the Kings of the East, but some prophecy teachers suggest that they are China, North Korea, and perhaps India, Japan and others.
A few months ago, it looked like Pres. Trump was close to destroying the North Korean military, and that would have brought this prophetic scenario into question.
Pres. Trump’s historic agreement with Kim Jong Un allows the North Korean military to hang around for its Tribulation Period showdown with God.

In a ruling that is sure to send shock waves through the nation, Canada’s Supreme Court ruled 7-2 against Trinity Western University’s (TWU) Law School.
In effect, what the court declared is that universities must choose between biblical standards and accreditation. Put another way, the court ruled that Christianity and higher education are incompatible. I am not exaggerating in the least.
Here’s a brief summary of the case for those who are not familiar with it. Trinity Western is a Christian university that requires its students and faculty to live by basic Christian standards. This means that to be a student or faculty member in good standing, you can’t commit fornication or adultery, nor can you engage in homosexual relationships.
There’s nothing surprising with these requirements, and there are thousands of schools in North America with similar standards. These include Christian schools from K-12, Christian colleges, Bible schools, seminaries, and universities.
These standards have long been part of TWU’s mandatory covenant, which requires “that all students and faculty pursue a holy life ‘characterized by humility, self-sacrifice, mercy and justice, and mutual submission for the good of others.’
It requires members to abstain from using vulgar language, lying or cheating, stealing, using degrading materials such as pornography, and ‘sexual intimacy that violates the sacredness of marriage between a man and a woman.’”
Again, this is gospel 101, the basic requirements of Christian discipleship. And it is honorable that TWU seeks to live this out on its campus.
Unfortunately, when TWU opened its law school, it fell afoul of Canada’s LGBT activists and their allies. They argued that TWU was discriminating against LGBT students, because of which students graduating with a bona fide law degree should not be allowed to practice law in Canada.
There was a ray of hope for TWU when a regional court ruled in its favor. But now, “In a pair of 7-2 rulings, the majority of justices found the law societies of British Columbia and Ontario have the power to refuse accreditation based on Trinity Western University’s so-called community covenant.”
Or, to paraphrase, the Supreme Court ruled that if a Christian law school wants accreditation, it must abandon biblical values. How else can this be interpreted?
“The majority judgment said the covenant would deter LGBT students from attending the proposed law school, and those who did attend would be at risk of significant harm.”
Significant harm? If so, why? Because of biblical teaching. Because of Christian values. This the locus of the battle. This is the point of conflict.
Parse it however you like, but this is the hardcore truth.
“[The judgment] found the public interest of the law profession gives it the right to promote equality by ensuring equal access, support diversity within the bar and prevent harm to LGBT students.”
In other words, “diversity” according to the LGBT lexicon. Diversity meaning “the LGBT way or the highway.” Diversity meaning, “all views are welcome other than biblical Christian views.”
That’s why we’ve been raising our voices for so many years. That’s why we’ve been warning. That’s why we’ve said that those who came out the closet want to put us into the closet. That’s why we’ve said that LGBT activism was never simply about “tolerance.” It was about the silencing of competing views.
And if it could happen in Canada, it could happen in America. (For the skeptics and mockers, give me one good reason why this could not happen here. And note that TWU was not some tiny school hidden in a corner. It has “40 undergraduate programs and 17 graduate programs.”)
On a more personal, individual level, what happens to all the law students at TWU? What happens to those who spent years studying and invested tens of thousands of dollars in getting a law degree, only to be banned from practicing law in Canada because their school holds to Christian values? What about the significant harm experienced by them?
Honestly, I don’t know where TWU goes from here. And I don’t know how the believers in Canada will respond.
But I can say this to my friends and colleagues and fellow-educators and communicators here in America: We either use our liberties or lose them. We either stand fast and stand tall and stand strong, or we cower in a corner. We either do what’s right today, or we apologize to our children tomorrow.

The World Council of Churches said it is partnering with the Vatican department for Promoting Integral Human Development in preparing the conference to be held September 17-20 as part of ongoing work toward “peace-building and migration.”
The World Council of Churches has announced a joint venture with the Vatican to co-host a meeting next September on “migration, xenophobia, and politically motivated populism.”
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4 (KJV)
EDITOR’S NOTE: As Israel was becoming a nation again back in 1948 in fulfillment of Bible prophecy, Billy Graham was asked: “What do you expect the World Council of Churches to do this August when they visit Copenhagen?” He replied: “I believe they are going to nominate the Antichrist!” That was back when Billy was mostly a Bible believer and had no issue with drawing the line in the sand when it came to exposing and preaching against false religions and movements like the WCC. But by 1952 and all into the 1960’s , Graham left his strong doctrinal stance and made alliances with not only the WCC but with the Vatican as well. Today we rightly recognize Billy Graham as the father of the Laodicean eccumenical movement. In 2018, the globalist group World Council of Churches is a proud partner with the Whore of Babylon as they seek to preach the George Soros gospel of open borders and forced migration of illegals. You can find dozens of articles and videos showing Pope Francis preaching on climate change, prosperity, nuclear war, wealth redistribution, or any other social justice topic you can think of. But you will never hear him preach the gospel of the grace of God that lost people might be saved. Not one time. But you will hear Francis say that a ‘personal relationship’ with Jesus Christ is ‘dangerous and harmful‘.
The World Council of Churches said it is partnering with the Vatican department for Promoting Integral Human Development in preparing the conference to be held September 17-20 as part of ongoing work toward “peace-building and migration.” The General of the WCC, Rev. Olav Fykse Tveit, said the meeting would be a “very useful and significant workshop to dig a bit deeper” into the problems of xenophobia as an expression of populism, as well as its links to racism, conflict, and violence in countries around the world.
Last September, the Vatican launched a two-year campaign to change people’s minds about migrants and to encourage a more welcoming attitude toward them worldwide.
“Brothers, we mustn’t be afraid to share the journey! We mustn’t be afraid to share the hope!” Francis said in his weekly General Audience on September 27, in which he inaugurated the new project, titled “Share the Journey.”

The global Catholic charities network Caritas Internationalis spearheaded the campaign in its aim to promote awareness and action on behalf of migrants and refugees, assisting them in building connections with local communities. According to Caritas, the project was launched as a response to Pope Francis’s frequent summons for a “culture of encounter.”
Our world “faces not a migration crisis, but a crisis of global solidarity,” Caritas said on its website. “Be part of a worldwide campaign to reach out to migrants, change perceptions, open hearts and minds, and strengthen the bonds that unite us all.”
The stated goal of the project is to shed light on both the challenges and effects of migration at every stage of the journey to provoke a “shift in thinking” on the issue.
Part of this shift in thinking involves dispelling common “myths about migration,” the organization declared, before laying out “some common myths around migration and the facts behind the myths.”
Caritas said these myths include the idea that there are more migrants than ever before, that migrants live off welfare benefits and steal jobs from citizens, that closing borders will stem migrant flows, and that “people from poor countries migrate to rich ones.”
This is what it looks like when millions of migrants come to your country
If the WCC and the Vatican are successful, this is what an average day in America or your country will look like. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, don’t it?
The pope himself has lent his moral weight to the pro-immigration crusade, often speaking about the positive side to migration. Last Thursday, Francis called for a “change in mindset” regarding immigration, insisting in a message that migrants are not a threat to society but, rather, a source of enrichment.
In his message to the second Holy See-Mexico Conference on International Migration in the Vatican, Francis praised the work of the “International Community” aimed at the adoption of two global compacts, one on refugees and the other on “safe, orderly and regular migration.”
The pontiff also sought to counter a negative narrative on mass migration, calling for a shift in priorities and mentality.
“This demands a change in mindset,” he said. “We must move from considering others as threats to our comfort to valuing them as persons whose life experience and values can contribute greatly to the enrichment of our society. For this to happen, our basic approach must be to encounter the other, to welcome, to know and to acknowledge him or her,” he said. source

Overnight Sunday Israeli jets hit nine targets inside the Gaza strip in response to alleged arson attempts and “explosive kites and balloons” being launched at Israel. The Israeli military issued a statement indicating that “The IDF attacked nine terror targets in two military compounds and a weapons manufacturing facility belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the northern Gaza Strip in response to the firing of kites and explosives and incendiary attacks on Israeli territory.”
The IDF further cited the launch of three rockets from Gaza territory early Monday morning which landed in open areas, causing no damage or casualties. Israelis have dubbed the devices “terror kites” which the IDF claims have been launched in the thousands over the past weeks.
Israeli authorities have attributed a recent spate of fires ravaging farmlands to the low-tech kites and “arson balloons” which have resulted in over 400 fires burning more than 6,000 acres, according to a spokesman for Israel’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee
During the ‘Great March of Return’ protests, which started along the Israeli-Gaza border fence in late March, explosive and incendiary devices have been used to target farmlands in southern Israel. Large kites or collections of balloons will typically be released while carrying burning items attached by a long cord.
They’ve also been dubbed ‘Molotov cocktail kites’ and have become the latest improvised means of getting around Israel’s high-tech air defense systems.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has called such tactics acts of terrorism against Israeli civilians and has vowed to hold Hamas responsible for “everything in and out of the Gaza Strip” and that the group “will bear the consequences” of its actions or inactions.
The Washington Post describes the kites as follows:
Outfitted with rags dipped in gasoline, smoldering embers, coalsand, more recently, lightweight explosive devices, the kites are the latest weapon used by Palestinians against Israelis in their decades-old conflict. Handmade, mostly from household objects, the kites sail over the border from the Gaza Strip, which lies just to the west.
Over the weekend Israel signaled that it would conduct operations to root out the make-shift manufacturing sites where they are made, which according to some estimates have caused $1-2 million worth of damage to farms and kibbutzes. One kibbutz leader whose fields have been burned told the Washington Post“They are sending us a message: We will burn your fields and maybe you will leave.”

One Gazan was quoted in The Washington Post as saying, “It is a simple act. We enjoy our time flying kites, and we make the Israelis suffer like us. They can put pressure on their government to make us live better.” The 27-year-old man further said the idea of using kites as explosive weapons targeting the crops of Israeli settlers came “after seeing children playing with them.”
Israel is reportedly experimenting with the use of drones to latch onto the burning kites and guide them away from Israeli settlements, which the IDF says its done successfully in some cases.
During the 7-week long Great March of Return protests, Palestinian health officials counted120 unarmed Palestinians killed and some 3,800 wounded by Israeli gunfire. The IDF, for its part, claims Hamas ordered civilians to approach the Israeli-Gaza border fence as ‘human shields’ in order to provoke the deadly response. The U.N. Human Rights Council has ordered a formal probe in to the deaths.

Israel was behind a strike in Syria last night that killed more than 50 pro-Syrian fighters, a US official tells CNN.
Official Syrian media and an Iraqi militia fighting on behalf of the Syrian regime blamed the strike in eastern Syria on the US, but the official says no US strikes were carried out in the area.
In Amman, Netanyahu discusses US peace plan with Jordan’s king
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, in Amman today, the Prime Minister’s Office says.
The two discussed the US peace plan, according to the PMO, ahead of the American peace team’s trip to the Middle East this week, for meetings with regional leaders.
They also spoke about other regional developments, the PMO says, as well as how to promote economic ties between Israel and Jordan.
Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s commitment to preserving the status quo at holy sites in Jerusalem. Jordan is the custodian of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Air Force strikes Hamas positions after flaming balloon launch
Israeli aircraft strike Hamas positions in Gaza, the military says, after flaming balloons were launched near a “terrorist cell” in the southern Gaza Strip toward Israeli territory.
