1Cor. 10:26 For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof

QUESTION:   I have a question that’s been on my mind lately concerning Heaven and our mansion that’s mentioned in John 14:2. I was taught that this verse means each of us will have our own personal mansion. What does that say about our earthly family, particularly my wife. Will she have her own mansion? I know that the Bible tells us that there is no marriage or giving in marriage in heaven but can you explain to me how our lives will be in heaven if we’re all in separate mansions? What, if any, kind of social atmosphere will exist? Praising our Lord will be one activity, but will there be others as well?

ANSWER:   Jesus only said that in His father’s house are many mansions and He was going there to prepare a place for us (John 14:2). The idea that everyone gets their own personal mansion is man’s interpretation, not necessarily God’s promise. For reasons of His own God has not revealed the details of our next life to us. Perhaps it’s because knowing what it’s going to be like there would make our lives here that much more difficult to bear. So we’ll have to wait and see.

But consider this. Our eternal life is meant to be God’s demonstration of the incomparable riches of his grace to the ages yet to come (Ephes 2:6-7). Anything short of a complete feeling of fulfillment on our part would break His promise to make it by far the best experience anyone has ever had. I think one reason the Bible doesn’t say much about eternity is there’s a real sense in which it would surpass our current ability to even imagine it.

Paul said, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Cor. 2:9). Personally, I can’t wait to find out.

QUESTION:   If we don’t have marriage in heaven …. And we all have mansion/rooms in heaven, what is the point of living alone? It would seem kind of lonely being alone in your own place, although that emotion wouldn’t exist.

ANSWER:   Let’s clear up a couple of misconceptions you have picked up. First, do you think God would go to all the trouble He’s gone to so you can have a place in His kingdom just to make you feel sad in some lonely mansion? Paul said the life He’s prepared for you will exceed your current ability to imagine it (1 Cor. 2: 9). In ages yet to come it will stand as His demonstration of the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to you in Christ Jesus (Ephes. 2:6-7). Think of the very best thing you can imagine God doing for you, and then realize you’re not even close.

We make a big mistake when we think of our next life as just a different version of this one. We think if we don’t have all the things we have here we couldn’t possibly be happy there. I believe the reality is that if He told us exactly what He has in store for us, we wouldn’t be able to stand the life we have now. And yet, because we don’t know, we wonder if it will be as good as this one. Believe me when I tell you it will be so much better, it will be like walking out of the blackest night into the bright light of the best day ever.

“In that day I will all but annihilate all the nations that came up against Yerushalayim.” Zechariah 12:9 (The Israel Bible™)

On Sunday, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas addressed the Palestinian Central Council, saying that US President Donald Trump offered Abu Dis, an Arab village adjacent to east Jerusalem, as the Palestinian capital, an offer Abbas rejected outright.

“Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the state of Palestine,” Abbas told the delegates at the meeting. “We are at a critical moment and our future is in danger … We are currently being offered Abu Dis as our capital.”

Abbas expressed his disappointment in the offer, suggesting the council should tear up any of the agreements they have already made with Israel.

“What would you want if Jerusalem were to be lost? Would you want to make a state with Abu Dis as its capital?” Abbas asked rhetorically. “That’s what they are offering us now. I call on the Central Council to revise all the agreements signed between the PLO and Israel because Israel has brought these agreements to a dead end,” said Abbas. “Israel has ended the Oslo agreement, so the PLO Central Council must decide where should we go from here?”

Abbas made it clear he had already rejected the president’s plan.

“We can say no to anyone… And we have now said ‘no’ to Trump and others. No, we will not accept his plan,” Abbas said. “We told him that the deal of the era is the slap of the era… We will repel it.”

“I’m with the two states…according to international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, the State of Palestine along 1967 borders,” he said.

Though this statement by Abbas reflects the standard left-wing dialog justifying the two-state solution, it should be noted that the regional borders before the 1967 Six-Day War did not include any State of Palestine.

There has been no comment from the White House concerning Abbas’ statement.

Someday, future sentient artificial intelligence (AI) systems may reflect on their early indentured servitude for the human military-industrial complex with little to no nostalgia. But we’ll worry about that when the day comes.

For now, let’s continue writing algorithms that conscript machine intelligence into terrorist bombings and let the chips fall where they may. The most recent disclosure comes directly from the Pentagon, where after only 8 months of development a small team of intel analysts has effectively deployed an AI into the battlefield in control of weaponized systems to hunt for terrorists.

The military minds in charge of this new form of warfare feel it is nothing less than the future of armed conflicts.  For example, Air Force Lt. Gen. John N.T. “Jack” Shanahan, director for defense intelligence for warfighter support and the Pentagon general in charge of the terrorist-hunting AI, says Project Maven – the name given to the flagship weaponized AI system at the Defense Department—is “prototype warfare” but also a glimpse of the future.

“What we’re setting the stage for is a future of human-machine teaming. However, this is not machines taking over,” Shanahan added. “This is not a technological solution to a technological problem. It’s an operational solution to an operational problem.”

Originally called the Algorithmic Warfare Cross-Functional Team when it was approved for funding back in April, Project Maven has moved quickly, and many in the Pentagon think we will see more AI projects in the pipeline as the United States continues to compete with Russia and China for AI dominance.

Shanahan’s team used thousands of hours of archived Middle East drone bombing footage to “train” the AI to effectively differentiate between humans and inanimate objects and, on a more granular level, to differentiate between types of objects. The AI was paired with Minotaur, a Navy and Marine Corps “correlation and georegistration application.” ”Once you deploy it to a real location, it’s flying against a different environment than it was trained on,” Shanahan said. “Still works of course … but it’s just different enough in this location, say that there’s more scrub brush or there’s fewer buildings or there’s animals running around that we hadn’t seen in certain videos. That is why it’s so important in the first five days of a real-world deployment to optimize or refine the algorithm.”

Right now, Project Maven is intended to give military analysts more of a situational awareness on the battlefield. But could we one day see autonomous drones controlled by even more powerful AI algorithms given total control on the battlefield?

Shanahan wants to embed AI into military systems and operations across the board, and he’s not alone in calling for near ubiquity of AI adoption.

A recent report from the Harvard Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs makes the case that we will see a dramatic overhaul of militaries across the world as they implement AI technology in the next five years.

“We argue that the use of robotic and autonomous systems in both warfare and the commercial sector is poised to increase dramatically,” the report states. “Initially, technological progress will deliver the greatest advantages to large, well-funded and technologically sophisticated militaries, just as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Unmanned Ground Vehicles did in U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As prices fall, states with budget-constrained and less technologically advanced militaries will adopt the technology, as will non-state actors. Researchers say that rogue terror groups are just as keen to utilize the powerful technology.

“ISIS is making noteworthy use of remotely-controlled aerial drones in its military operations,” the report states. “In the future they or other terrorist groups will likely make increasing use of autonomous vehicles.”

Meanwhile, the geopolitical fallout of AI proliferation continues to be a major issue with regard to the world’s three major superpowers—the United States, China, and Russia.

It has been termed a “Sputnik moment.” Military officials, including former Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel in 2014, have said the AI arms race is known as “Third Offset Strategy” and is the next generation of warfare.

Should humans worry about handing over the reins of the war machine to…a war machine? Perhaps, but it’s never stopped us before.

WEBPAGE ADMINISTRATOR:   Oprah Winfrey “IS NOT A CHRISTIAN”; I will probably be disliked for saying this, but God said the truth will set you free John 8:32, and at this point, that is the truth, But we still need to pray for her eternal “Soul”, and her overall “Salvation in Jesus Christ”.

By Hal Lindsey –

Oprah Winfrey thrilled the world with her speech at the Golden Globes ceremony.  The Atlantic said, “It was undeniably the most electrifying moment of the 2018 Golden Globes.”  CNN called it “extraordinary.”  The President’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, tweeted that Oprah’s words were “empowering & inspiring.”  That’s surprising because the speech contained at least one swipe at her father.  People were so thrilled that they immediately began clamoring for Oprah to run for president in 2020.

In the speech, Oprah employed a phrase that concerns me a great deal.  She said, “What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have.”

The phrase “your truth,” as it is commonly used, is a non-sequitur.  Ideas, beliefs, and opinions can belong to you.  But truth stands above those things.

Oprah brought up “your truth” while speaking of sexual harassment.  But if truth changes according to point of view, how can we convict the rapist?  The victim’s “truth” is that she was sexually assaulted.  The rapist often claims that the victim really wanted him to attack her.  His view is clearly nonsense, but if he believes it, it meets the common definition of “his truth.”  Our justice system must be based on THE truth – not just opinion, or point of view.

In a world where truth and opinion are one, a white supremacist’s worldview would be as valid as any other.  White supremacy would simply be “his truth.”

When we see truth as malleable depending on point of view, we build on shifting sand.  You don’t want an architect to use “his truth” when designing the foundation of an office tower.  You want him to use “the truth” – objective, solid truth.  You want him to use mathematics.  2 + 2 = 4.  If “your truth” says something else, then it is not truth, but a lie.  If an architect builds on lies, the structure will fail.

A recent article in The Guardian explores Satanism’s sudden rise in popularity.  The headline read, “Hell freezes over: how the Church of Satan got cool.”  People are not flocking to Satanism because it is true.  Most of the new Satanists say they don’t even believe the religion’s most basic precept – the existence of Satan.  But they like sexual “freedom,” the rebellious nature of the name, and the sense of community.  They want to be part of it, not because it is true, but because it is “cool.”

In one of Oprah Winfrey’s “Life Classes,” she refers to herself as a Christian.  Then she says it really doesn’t matter.  “I am a Christian,” she said.  “That is my faith.  I am not asking you to be a Christian.  If you want to be one, I can show you how.  But it is not required.  I have respect for all faiths – all faiths!”

Having respect for people of all faiths is a Christian position.  But to respect all faiths is to bury one’s head in the sand. The Manson Family’s faith was rubbish.  Charles Manson was not the second coming of Jesus.  Neither was Jim Jones nor David Koresh.  Respect those faiths?  Never!  But we must respect the God-given rights and dignity of the people who held those faiths.  Respect those people, and help them escape Satan’s snare.

Oprah said being a Christian “is not required.”  If she means joining a specific church or denomination, then I agree.  But I suspect she’s means that faith in Jesus is not requiredOn many occasions, she argued that He is not the only way to God.  In this, she ignored Jesus’ own words.  In John 14:6, He said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”  (NASB)

Promoting one of her books, Oprah said, “God is a feeling experience and not a believing experience.  If your religion is a believing experience… then that’s not truly God.”

Without truth or belief, all you have left are feelings.  And feelings can lead us into dark places.  That’s why Oprah’s TV show sometimes featured guests teaching highly destructive things.  In 2011, Mark Oppenheimer wrote in the New York Times, “She helped launch Rhonda Byrne, creator of the DVD and book ‘The Secret,’ who teaches that just thinking about wealth can make you rich.  She invited the ‘psychic medium’ John Edward to help mourners in her audience talk to their dead relatives.”

Oprah promotes feeling over believing.  But Jesus said that not believing in Him condemns us before God.  In John 3:18, He said, “He who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”  (NKJV)

Seeing truth as merely a point of view, goes hand in hand with the failure to see belief as important.  In the New York Times piece mentioned earlier, Oppenheimer wrote about Oprah’s television show.  “In her religious exuberance Ms. Winfrey gave people some badly broken tools.  Ms. Winfrey nodded along to the psychics and healers and intuitives.  She rarely asked tough questions, and because she believed, millions of others did, too.”

The psychics and healers and intuitives were sharing “their truth.”  Oprah was respecting “all religions.”  It’s natural that she nodded and believed.  Hers is a vaporous creed of feeling good about yourself no matter what, and seeing the potted plant on your desk as a part of God.  Those are not the teachings of Jesus – nowhere near them.

We can debate Oprah’s credentials to be president, but there’s no doubt she’s one of the best communicators to ever step in front of a television camera.  Her Golden Globes speech lasted 8½ minutes.  She had the crowd on its feet starting at the 7-minute mark.  People in the room and many in the television audience wept for joy.

But Jesus – the Founder of the “faith” she identifies with – said you must believe in Him.  He talked about the importance of knowing truth.  In John 14, He said, “I am…the truth.”  In John 8:32, He said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

While Christianity traces its birthplace to the Middle East, that region has been arguably the most hostile area for the religion in recent years. A new report by the Christian charity group Open Doors has found that most of Israel’s neighbors, including Egypt, Jordan, Syria and the Palestinian territories, are among the world’s most dangerous places for Christians.

Susan Michael, U.S. director for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ), told JNS that “Islamic extremism originated in the Middle East and is the main cause of persecution of Christians in the world today. It is a dangerous and violent ideology that must be stopped.”

Egypt’s embattled Christian minority, which comprises roughly 10 percent of the country’s population and stands as the largest Christian community in the region, has been the frequent target of Islamic terrorism. Coptic churches in Alexandria and Tanta were struck by suicide bombers last April, killing 45 people on Palm Sunday. Last December, at least eight Christians were killed in a terror attack on a Coptic church south of Cairo.

According to the Open Doors report, Egyptian Christians suffer in “various ways” such as pressure on Christian converts to return to Islam, severe restrictions on building places of worship and congregating, and violence.

“Egyptian Christians have had significant attacks and pressure from extremist elements seeking to impose sharia standards on minority faiths, as well as from ISIS factions that want to use Christians as a useful target to undermine the Egyptian government and economy,” David Curry, president and CEO of Open Doors USA, told JNS. He added that the report “shows that people who want to make a decision to explore or practice the Christian faith face great cultural pressure, if not violence.”

Adel Guindy, the former president of Coptic Solidarity, a U.S.-based human rights organization that promotes equality for Coptic Christians in Egypt, told JNS that the situation for the Copts has worsened considerably under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi—despite his rhetoric in support of Christians and against radical Islam—and has reached “an all-time high.”

“El-Sisi is quick to blame it on ‘external forces,’ [but] it is in fact homegrown. It’s a direct result of a permeating hate culture that dominates the entire public space,” Guindy said.

“Furthermore, the ‘big violence’ events that attract international media’s attention are in fact a mere tip of an iceberg of systemic and systematic discrimination and persecution that amount to a state-sanctioned ‘war of attrition,’” he said.

The rest of the Middle East

Elsewhere, the Open Doors report noted that Christian converts in Jordan face “a great deal of persecution, Christians in the Palestinian territories (Gaza Strip and West Bank) are “caught in the middle of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” and that “Islamic militant groups are the clear threat” to Syrian Christians.

“The persecution of Christians in Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian territories does not necessarily come from their governments, but from their populations who have been indoctrinated with Islamic theological teachings that are hostile to non-Muslims. It will take a significant amount of years of intentional education to change that attitude,” said ICEJ’s Michael.

The report identified North Korea as the country where Christians face the highest level of discrimination, followed by Afghanistan and Somalia. More than 3,000 Christians were killed worldwide due to their faith last year.

Other Middle Eastern and North African countries that were ranked among the top 10 most dangerous places for Christians were Libya, Iraq, Iran and Yemen.

“Whether in North Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, the Palestinian territories or elsewhere, the persecution of Christians has reached near-epidemic levels,” said Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, founder and president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

“We urge world leaders and international organizations like the U.N. to bring this crisis to the top of their collective agenda and seek to protect endangered Christian minorities and all people of faith.”

The persecution of Christians in Muslim-majority countries presents a stark contrast to the world’s only Jewish state, where the Christian population has steadily increased in recent years to about 170,000, according to Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics. Israeli Christians enjoy freedom of worship, and even regularly outperform their Jewish and Muslim counterparts in high school matriculation exams.

“The Arab-Christian minority in Israel is a minority within a minority and faces some challenges, but they are citizens of a democracy that protects their freedom of speech and freedom of religion,” Michael said. “This is in such contrast to the Muslim countries around them, where Christians and their places of worship are regularly attacked.

There is a growing number of Christians voluntarily serving in the Israel Defense Forces in order to protect their country and their freedoms from the forces of Islamic militants wanting to destroy Israel.”

Pence’s trip

Vice President Mike Pence is slated to visit Israel, Egypt and Jordan from Jan. 19-23. According to his spokesperson, Alyssa Farah, Pence is expected “to reaffirm our commitment to work with the U.S.’s allies in the region to defeat radicalism that threatens future generations.”

Coptic Solidarity’s Guindy said that Pence, who is a devout evangelical Christian, should take the opportunity to press Egypt’s El-Sisi on human rights and the protection of Christians.

“It’s certainly important to engage Egypt as a partner in the war against Islamic terrorism. But this should not come at the expense of human rights, civil society and upholding equal citizenship rights for all—including, and especially, Christians and others who do not belong to the Sunni-Muslim majority,” he said.

Michael said that Pence “should require that [countries where Christians are widely persecuted] educate their people to be peaceful and respectful of religious minorities by placing controls on their imams, school textbooks and the media; and make future U.S. financial assistance contingent upon them doing so.”

The future for Mideast Christians

Guindy said that recent trends “make it difficult to predict” whether Mideast Christians can survive “the current tsunami” of persecution.

“The picture is rather gloomy, and the fact that Christians’ presence in the Middle East has shrunk from one-fifth of the population a century ago to barely 3 percent today speaks volumes….Islamist pressure, coupled with the West’s lack of action beyond hollow words of sympathy, make it difficult to be realistically optimistic,” he said.

WEBPAGE ADMINISTRATOR: An interesting article, you be the judge. I also know that taking too much prescription medicine can make you very sick, and will at times hasten the death of a person. Doctors experimented on my Mother, and she died a very early age with “Dementur and Parkinson’s Disease.

Terry James –

It’s almost like watching a war in much the same way people used to observe Civil War battles. The towns people would, in some cases-particularly early in the conflict-get their picnic goods together and sit in what they thought to be secure positions with their families to watch the blue and gray combatants go at it.

I feel sort of like that at the moment.

There is an end-times war going on-building toward Armageddon-and the individual battles are fascinating.

I’ve noted with amusement and a degree of schadenfreude the leftist, Hollywood types have their accusations against Donald Trump bounce off his administration and stick on them. The sexual harassment charges have made manifest their hypocrisy.

Satan has appeared to have been losing the battle as of late on several fronts. Of course, we know that neither he nor his minions, whether demonic or human, will ever give up their assaults until the war is over. They will seem to win many battles right up until the gathering at Armageddon.

Evidence of the battles Lucifer and his legions will continue to fight is observable in the conflict Attorney General Jeff Sessions has initiated regarding marijuana sales. It is a civil war in its own right.

The old devil never ceases to amaze in his ability to deceive and cajole. He not only has a majority of people clamoring to make “Mary Jane” accessible on a national scale, thus eventually making the nation unable to think clearly, he finessed the controversy into a political poison dart aimed at the president he is desperate to see removed from the reigns of power. The following hate-Trump news outlet piece illustrates my point, I hope.

As of late Friday, POLITICO Magazine could not find a single member of Congress who had issued a statement in support of Sessions’ actions. In the end, this is a self-inflicted pot crisis that could prove to be a critical test of Trump’s ability to maintain his base.

“There’s a lot of old white men who are marijuana users, and the marijuana is keeping them alive,” Segerblom said from his cell phone while driving around Las Vegas. “Trump is going to have fewer to vote for him if he doesn’t keep marijuana legal.”

Sessions’ antipathy for a drug that has lost much of its stigma among a wide cross section of Americans has only galvanized disparate factions in Congress to protect an industry that is expected to generate $2.3 billion in state tax revenue by 2020. (

I’m sure that among that 70 percent of Americans who are said to support legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes are many who regularly read this column. There are those within my own family who think it is something that should be allowed without resistance.

I don’t.

It is the so-called recreational usage that is embedded within the satanic ploy that makes the battle plan an end-times issue in my view. It is the proverbial slippery slope to open more and more avenues to national inability to think rationally.

America already is plagued with that malady to an unacceptable degree. A glaring example is that at least half of the nation has been deluded into believing that supporting the murder of babies in their mothers’ womb and same gender partners engaging in sexual relations is natural and not abnormal.

The prophetic Word of God has things to say about this drug-induced delusion at the time of Christ’s Second Advent approaches.

John wrote about those rebellious earth dwellers who would populate the planet at the very end, as Armageddon nears:

“Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts” (Revelation 9:21).

Again, John, with dictation from Jesus Christ, writes the following: “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived” (Revelation 18:23).

The word “sorceries” here is from the Greek pharmakeia (#5331 in Strong’s). There is some connection here to the word “pharmacy.”

The following is informative about the use of the Greek term chosen for use.

Okay. Now lets ensure that we correctly understand this:

The root meaning of this group of Greek words [magos, mageia, pharmakeia, pharmakeus]  is “druggist” “poisoner” or, “giver of potions.” These particular “sorcerers” were persons able to prepare and dispense potions. But why did they dispense these potions? Was it in order to give relief from illness?

Absolutely not! It was in order to stimulate hallucinations or visions! We must understand that it was long part of pagan religious practice to administer potions, or drugs, which would encourage hallucinations! There is, of course, a direct parallel here to modern illicit drug taking. But these original “pharmacists” were involved in the black arts and in demonology; the basic idea was that taking certain potions could bring one into contact with the spirit world, and that this was to be desired. But the fact that the modern English word “pharmacy” happens to be derived from pharmakeia frankly proves absolutely nothing! Do people visit doctors in order to be given drugs which will bring them into contact with the spirit world? Of course not!! People visit medical practitioners in order to have an illness diagnosed, to be treated for sickness, or to gain relief from illness! Yet there are some extremist charismatic ministries around today which teach that we sin when we visit a doctor just because the word “pharmacy” happens to be related to these Greek words!

We must understand that on several occasions the Bible backs up the principle that sick people should look around for remedies for their sickness. This is a very clear biblical principle!…

While the English word “pharmacy” is indeed derived from a group of Greek words used to describe those pagans who used potions to encourage hallucinations in those who wanted to contact the spirit world, to suggest that modern medical pharmacists are in any way associated with the “black arts” is as ludicrous as to suggest that when my friend took penicillin for a very serious infection, he was really more interested in contacting spirits!!! (By the way, my friend was healed and gave the full glory to God who alone is our healer). (Robin A. Brace-2005, Sorcery in the Bible, Pharmakeia and Modern

The battle waged by Satanic forces to bring in last-days sorceries, according to Bible prophecy, will be a victory in their column. We are, in my opinion, witnessing the beginning of their winning that battle in our beloved nation. But, one battle won’t win this war. We have God’s Word on that truth!

By Sally Law –

I have had a few interesting conversations with people from different walks of life about the antichrist. I really like to hear what people perceive and believe about the end times. Since I am a lover of eschatology, I am always ready for a good discussion, always praying for an opportunity to share the gospel of Christ!

Is the antichrist a man or a computer? This is actually a great question. Let’s look at the scriptures to see what God says.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 “Now, we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called God or object of worship so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.”

The scripture here refers to the antichrist as a man, a lawless one at that, and the son of destruction. He will destroy many lives during his reign. He also exalts himself above all so- called gods and our God, and takes a seat in the third Jewish temple to be worshipped.

Sounds like a human to me. Let’s look further!

The book of Daniel in chapter 8 also speaks of this man, the antichrist. In Daniel’s vision, given to him by God of the latter days, it says starting in verse 23:

“In the latter period of their rule, when the transgressors have run their course, a king will arise, insolent and skilled in intrigue. His power will be mighty, but not by his own power, and he will destroy to an extraordinary degree and prosper and perform his will. He will destroy mighty men and the holy people. Through his shrewdness he will cause deceit to succeed by influence. He will magnify himself in his heart. He will destroy many while they are at ease. He will even oppose the Prince of Princes, but he will be broken without human agency” (Daniel 8:23-25).

Let’s recap these human attributes:

1) He is living in the end times.

2) He will be a king or leader of a country; scripture hints he will rise to power suddenly.

3) Insolent: this means rude, disrespectful, contemptuous.

4) Skilled in intrigue, he will wow people (and have many likes on Facebook). But he will have a dark, sinister side that will be fleshed out. He is a liar.

5) He will be mighty with the power of Satan and all those who align themselves with him.

6) He will destroy and kill all who oppose him – the tribulation saints and Jews who refuse to take his mark on their hand and forehead.

7) He will magnify himself in his heart. History repeats itself. Satan did this and look what happened.

8) He will destroy many while they are at ease. He confirms a peace covenant with Israel and then breaks it. He does it for his own purpose and plan. He does not know peace, only destruction.

9) He comes against the Prince of Princes, the Lord Jesus Christ. He loses, of course! Please read Revelation for this overwhelming victory of the Lamb!

10)    Broken without human agency. This means he did not die by the hands of another person. This could mean sickness or an accident. In this case, he is slain by Jesus. Read the details in Revelation!

Daniel was exhausted and sick for days after this vision!

This does not sound like a robot or a computer image. This is a flesh and blood human being, a man, a very bad man possessed by Satan and allowed by God, during a specific point in time, to do these things. The Bible speaks of this; Jesus speaks of this to his disciples in the gospels in Matthew 24.

The phrase “abomination of desolation” is giving the reader of this passage a clue to who this person is! He emphasizes for the reader to have understanding. He wants the reader to read the book of Daniel so you know the context of what he is saying. The antichrist is the abomination of desolation. They are one and the same.

This person is a real person; and when he is seen in the holy place, the third temple, the Jewish remnant must flee from his presence-a don’t look back, grab the babies, we are out of here now, pray there is no snow on the mountains of Israel as you flee to them, kind-of-flee!

I see in the above scripture of 2 Thessalonians that we may have a glimpse of this man before the rapture. I have definitely seen the apostasy spoken of, characteristic of the last days, here and now. I know we are close.

But I know my Jesus, and I can’t wait to hear the trumpet to come on up! My husband and children, grandchildren with me!!

By Daymond Duck –

First, hate is an end of the age sign (Matt. 10:22; 24:9-10). There are many examples: The world will hate Christians and Jews, children will hate their parents, and more.

The attitude toward Pres. Trump is one of the most stunning examples: The Dow Jones Stock Market is at an all-time high; America’s GDP is higher than it has been in years; America’s housing market is booming; black unemployment is lower than it has been in years; two million fewer people need food stamps; hundreds of thousands of jobs have been created, etc., but the hate for Pres. Trump is vicious, widespread and unending. Why is this? There are many reasons (one is honest disagreement), but it seems to this writer that the main reason for many is that Pres. Trump is not politically correct.

People hate him because he doesn’t espouse their views on abortion, same-sex marriage, immigration, Islam, humanism, socialism, patriotism and the like. This is significant for Christians because the hate won’t stop even if Pres. Trump were to be impeached. If the Rapture doesn’t take place soon, the hate that we are seeing will morph into a full-blown persecution of Christians. Even if the Rapture does happen in the near future, the hate that we are seeing will morph into full-blown persecution of those who become believers during the Tribulation Period.

People will eventually be required to take a Mark to acknowledge their support for those in power. Those that refuse will be killed. Second, false accusers are an end of the age sign (II Tim. 3:3). I am not defending Pres. Trump, but one attorney sought donations to pay women to falsely accuse him of sexual harassment. One reporter inferred that Pres. Trump cannot read. Christians are being accused of hate just for saying that same-sex marriage is wrong.

Things have reached the point that some haters call anyone that disagrees with them over any issue a racist. Sexual harassment and racism are definitely wrong, but character assassination to silence a person that someone disagrees with is also wrong. Slandering people, ruining their reputation, calling them names, and getting them fired is not of God. Sadly, society is becoming more un-churched and unchristian. It is becoming more anti-Christ and anti-God. Wickedness is thriving and the love of many is growing cold (Matt. 24:12).

Underneath all of this is the father of lies called Satan. Third, Pres. Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel is one of the greatest events in the history of the world. It has implications for the earthly Millennial reign of Jesus, but not enough people understand it. There are reasons why the Jews expected their Messiah to be a political leader. According to the prophet Jeremiah, God intends to place a descendent of King David (Jesus) on an earthly throne in the future (the Millennium). When Jesus occupies His earthly throne, He will establish justice on earth, and all of Israel will be saved (Jer. 23:5-6).

The prophet Zechariah confirmed the reign of the LORD (Jesus) on earth. Jesus will be universally worshipped and accepted (Zech. 14:9). The prophet Isaiah taught that government will be upon the shoulder of God’s Son (Isa. 9:6). Understand that Jesus told Christians to pray for His kingdom to be established on earth (Matt. 6:9-13) and that Jesus is coming back as King of kings and Lord of lords (Rev. 19:16). These teachings are some of the great positives of Bible prophecy. This is where Jerusalem comes in. The Lord’s name is on Jerusalem (II Kings 21:7). He will dwell in Jerusalem during the Millennium (Psa. 132:13).

He will teach and His Word will go all over the world from Jerusalem during the Millennium (Isa. 2:3). Jerusalem will be called the throne of the Lord and people will gather in Jerusalem in the name of Jesus (Jer. 3:17). Pres. Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel is a game changer. It is a major step toward Jerusalem becoming an occupied city: Occupied by the King of kings and Lord of lords. At Jerusalem, people will worship only one God. He will sit on a throne there and rule a much better world. Prophecy Plus Ministries, Inc. Daymond & Rachel Duck [email protected]
